For more info definitely watch my video that I posted but if you want the short answer. BUY IT! This has been a great product. Well built and super fun to use and it actually really does work out your arm. More then I thought it would. Just give it a your arm about 2-3 minutes and you’ll start to feel it the burn coming. I’ve had it about a week now and use it everyday. Definitely would recommend. My 11 month old son also LOVES the lights in it. Great product!

Great wrist/forearm exerciser. Works well to build strength and allows you to go at your own pace. Would recommend to anyone trying to strengthen their grip as well.

This may take you some time to get the hang of it. But keep trying and trying, and you will see, and feel how to properly use it. It took me about 3-4 days to figure this out. You kind of have to feel for it, and then it works. As the lights go on the motor spins and induces powerful forces against your muscles for strength. You will definitely feel the wrist and forearm being worked on. If you really push it, you will get sore the following day. This is an excellent workout for the hands. If you have hand pains, this little gadget will help, and will help you relax as well.
I hope my information was helpful to you. Thank you.

This is a great arm/wrist workout once you 1) figure out how to use it and 2) get the hang of it. I only gave it 4 stars because the instructions it comes with are in very broken, difficult to understand English. Watching videos other reviews made is very helpful, though. There are also numerous You Tube videos about it out there. Another reason I gave it 4 stars is because if you have weak grip strength or are unable to move your wrists in a circular manner, it will be impossible for you to use. I have moderate grip strength and weak wrists, so it always takes me a few tries to get it started. I think it’s a fun “game” to see if you can get it going and keep it going. At first, I thought the little light inside wasn’t working, but I wasn’t doing it correctly. Keep going until you get that light to appear. I really feel it in all areas of my arm after only a few seconds of use and I think I will have much better hand and arm strength after continued use. Overall, I recommend this item if you’re in need of an arm workout you can do sitting on the couch watching TV! To the makers of this item: please hire a native English speaker to edit your instructions. I used to edit research papers written by people with English as a second language and I know it can be upsetting to hear that your English is poor and many second language speakers get offended, however, I think it would help your company and your sales! I would’ve given you 5 stars if you had proper English instructions. To the buyer: throw away the instructions that come with it and find video instructions done by a native English speaker.

I am recovering from a TFCC tear and have found this to be quite useful in regaining the strength in my wrist. It took me a few tries to figure out that the trick to getting the ball spinning fast enough is to pull the string with one hand and pull the ball with the other, don't just pull the string while holding the ball stationary. I just couldn't get enough speed doing it this way but once I figured it out, I was able to get enough speed every time. Unfortunately, I quickly lost both strings. A replacement pack of strings is only four dollars but they will charge you over $12 for shipping which as far as I'm concerned I would rather just buy another ball. It's a matter of principle.

Me thinks the lady doth protest too much. . . Sounds like some just don't get how to use this. I have a $28. dollar one of these (at around $11 bucks now on this site) and this brand, though the LED's aren't nearly as bright, it actually runs faster than the more pricey one. It's one of the most addictive, useless things to own that is a MUST HAVE. There are some masters at this- who can bring it up to speed by 'snapping' the rotor with their thumb! I am still trying that. . . after years! OR you can quickly roll the device on a tabletop revving it-up without the string too. The gyro force is very strong and DOES give your wrists a workout. Now, if it could only wirelessly transmit electricity to charge the phone!

I was *this* close to writing a bad review for this because I could not, for the life of me, get it to work. I thought for sure it was broken. But then my husband came home from work and got it to work and light up with no problem at all - easy peasy!

I *still* have no idea how he does it! I'm doing everything the exact same as him but for some reason it works for him but not for me. And it works for him each and every single time. He's been using this all day now, and he can keep it going for quite a long time.

He absolutely loves this and thinks it's brilliant. Not only does it give his wrists and arms a work out but he thinks the design of it - the gyroscope, the fact it doesn't need batteries - is really cool. I think he likes it because he's the only one in the household that can get it to work. Even my son has a hard time.

I think maybe we're just not spinning it fast enough? But my husband loves it. He insists that anything less than five stars would be a crime so I'm giving it five stars for him.

EDIT: I finally got it!! The problem was I wasn't pulling the string hard or fast enough but now I've got it figured out and can consistently do it too. He's right, this is cool!!

For a little over $10, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. I got my money's worth out of it. After many hours over the first week, I noticed it was started to sound more grindier. There is only so much plastic to plastic motion that can happen before things start wearing down. If you're looking for a gyro-ball for a decent price I would say it's worth it. But if you're looking for a product to last much longer and have a better feel, spend the money and get a metal one.

I purchased this to help me with a long ago wrist injury, to help with weakness and occasional pain.

Yesterday I received it, took it out of the box and tried it. At first I couldn't get it to work. The directions in the box stink. Even the youtube videos didn't help me. I tried it maybe 70 times yesterday... couldn't get it to spin more than a couple of seconds. And Yes, the metal clip of the string got caught inside a few times.

This morning I started trying it again. Another 20 times. Then I read the negative Amazon reviews. I was all ready to send it back. Tried a few more times... and then I figured it out!! It's all in the wrist motion! My mistake was I wasn't moving my wrist in a circular enough motion. As I did it, I could make it go faster and faster.... as long as I want. Man my wrists tired out!! I was able to pass it from hand to hand. You have to move your wrist rhythmically in a circular motion. If you don't friction will make it stop. I can feel it all in my forearm and wrist.... what an exercise!

So keep trying, took me over a hundred tries to get it.... but it does work. Now the big question will be: Will it help my wrist? I hope so. Seems sturdy enough to last if you don't drop it. I've been starting it with the string.... not sure if I'd be able to get it going with my fingers.

Anyway, I was ready to give up, but now that I figured it out, I am happy. The key is all in the circular rhythm... in the right direction. If you're not keeping the rhythm or it's not moving decently when you put it in your hand, it's not going to work. When you have the rhythm, you will certainly feel it in your wrist and forearm.

I received this item yesterday, and I have ABSOLUTELY no complaints, after 4 or 5 times I FINALLY figured the correct way to get it going, I got so good at this speed wise that it made a sound kinda like a flying saucer in the air, wow you could actually HEAR how loud it is going, I am amazed at how tired my arm is. If you hold you arm at different angles it will hit your muscles in different ways and once it spins soooo fast you can literally hold your arm out straight and you will see your entire arm move, if anyone says something negative about this product they must have gotten a defective one, I WASN'T paid to post this review and I'm a female who works out 3 to 5 times a week and consider myself in pretty good shape, so finding a gadget to tire out a muscle group while sitting down at the same time using it, I can get with that! my 3 coworkers actually want me to send them the link so they can order one!
