Golf Digest

Golf Digest

Golf Digest is just what the title says it is. Its all covered in the first two issues I received. I've improved my game after reading the help articles in Golf Digest. I don't need to say anything else.

What a great price and it's very easy to read via my Kindle App on my phone.

It is a good deal for a yearly subscription. Plus more golf tips but I can't seem to apply it on the course!

Good reading.

I love reading this magazine

    Entertainment Weekly

This is a gift every year for my mom's birthday.

It has excellent coverage of a lot of the entertainment industry. While it's mostly television and movies, there are music, and book reviews as well. It's a nice mix and since it comes 42 weeks a year it's something she can really look forward to.

If you're into pop culture, this is a lot of fun. Mostly focusing on TV, Movies, Books, and Music (with a little bit of videogames and internet), this is full of reviews, long-form articles, fun lists, and a lot of interesting tidbits.

Love this edition because of the Outlander article. Both Sam and Caitriona are doing a fantastic job, as well as all the other actors and crew. Wish at some point that you can do a portrait of the entire Outlander family! Tulach Ard!

I subscribe to both People and Entertainment because they provide different material. People covers a broader range of personalities, celebrity and non-celebrity alike, and writes about their lives beyond their work. Entertainment focuses more on "Hollywood." While it includes the personal-life gossip, it writes more about behind-the-scenes action of movies, television, etc., as well as recommendations for TV, movies, books, and music.

I very much like the section in this magazine that tell you what is coming in theaters. The only thing I really do not like about this magazine is the very small print which makes it difficult to read. Overall, it is a very good magazine.

EW is your all-access pass to Hollywood's most creative minds and fascinating stars. They're the first to know about the best (and worst) in entertainment, and with their sharp insight and trusted voice, they keep you plugged into pop culture. It's where buzz begins.

i've been a subscriber for years. this magazine is my bible. it tells me new shows to watch that i wasn't aware of. this is how i found out about how i met your mother. the articles are short so i can read them on the subway. there are so many great sections, i can read bits here and there without having to remember where i left off. this isn't a gossipy magazine, really just a celebration of television and movies.

I read both People and Entertainment Weekly (EW) magazines, and I prefer EW when it comes to entertainment news. The reviews are helpful and the articles are presented in a more interesting way. It focuses on content more than just fetishizing celebrities, and it does this without being dry, for industry insiders only, or overly technical.
In contrast, "People" includes more human interest stories, like profiles of heroes among us, and includes puzzles. That's the only thing I would change about EW - add puzzles!
Both magazines include a tablet version for free with your subscription, available for ipad and android. Many times the articles are expanded online and there are additional images.
This magazine is definitely worth the money. I plan on staying a subscriber (as long as it holds onto its integrity).

Entertainment Weekly arrives regularly on Friday afternoon and is always a joy. The movie reviews warn me or encourage me... The television guides often direct me to programs I was unaware of. The previews are fantastic and the book reviews usually pretty solid. I could care less about the music stuff, but the magazine is informative and fun.

Been an EW fan from issue one and still have that one saved away somewhere. Definitely best value for the money with a huge cross section of entertainment articles from film, TV, performers, music, books and more. Been a subscriber for many years and it's the only magazine I still read.

Yayyy! I have gone 4 months without my subscription to Entertainment Weekly! I have seriously missed it. I know I paid $5 more getting it thru Amazon as opposed to sending in that little card from the magazine itself, but I don't care. $30 for a full year is worth it! Love this mag and all the stories from movies to music to books and everything else entertainment related!! Just received my first issue and it was a month earlier than expected!

      Vogue

      Vogue

Lately it seems like Vogue has lost its premium quality. The paper is thinner and so are most of the issues, the editorials are less inviting and overwhelmed by the ads which can be printed on paper so thick it makes it hard to leaf through the magazine. And don't get me started on the vile mix of too many competing perfume samples! I don't like many scents and a number of them make me nauseous, so I pull the things out immediately and put them in the farthest-away-from-me recycling bin. Even so, the scents still linger in the paper, especially on the facing pages, so I have to wash my hands after touching the magazine--something that cuts deeply into my enjoyment of Vogue and other mags with perfume sample ads. What's still great are the personal experience essays. Vogue has always had the best writers and the most interesting takes. Some of the fashion pages are still gorgeous, though many seem like recycled versions with poses we've already seen other models do better, or photos where the clothes can't be seen in the landscape or lighting used. With the poses, I don't know if the fault is the model's, because she has a limited range of poses, expressions or emotions, or if the fault is the editor's for choosing clothes or photos that look alike, but there's a lot too much sameness to the magazine recently. I look back longingly at Grace Coddington's amazing 1920s shoot, or the Versailles spread with those incredible clothes and stunning model with her gift for inventive poses that still let us see what she's wearing, or the Alice in Wonderland shoot--all examples of the best fashion photography available--and I hope Vogue gets a renewed jolt of the creativity, craftsmanship and professional pride that has made it an exemplar.

It is what it is, a bunch of ads, but they sure are pretty!

Always loved the photography and fashion of Vogue and is good to feed you ideas and keep you noticing the cycle of trends and the evolution of art & fashion

Vogue is consistently the best magazine on my newsstand and the price was right so we are giving the subscription a try. Alright so far after only three issues.

I have read Vogue since I was 10 years old. I read it at the public library, until I could afford to purchase my own copies. It is so exciting to have it available in such a convenient format.

Gotta love Vogue. Like the digital and delivery versions. I can scan the little samples and give the paper version away.

Vogue is the fashion authority. Setting the standard for over 100 years has made Vogue the best selling fashion magazine in the world. Each issue delivers the latest in beauty, style, health, fitness and celebrities. Before it's in fashion, it's in Vogue!

I look forward to getting an issue every month and it was a one time payment, very reasonable!

A gift for my mother who loved Vogue for many years. This was a favorite coffee table magazine in the home. I also purchased it to just enjoy "the fragrance page" which is basically a scratch and sniff page. This is a rather other-worldly magazine but you would love this if you watch America's Next Top Model.

Great price for a legendary magazine

I have always liked Vogue. I always look forward to the fashion snaps in different places - the photography
        is really great.

Vogue and Harpers are my favorite fashion magazines!
