Rip Van Wafels Non-GMO Low Calorie & Low Sugar Snack Wafels Variety Pack, 12 Count

I discovered these in the snack tray in the business class galley on American Airlines overseas flights. Immediately fell in love with the honey flavor and would take an extra as a light snack when overseas. I then ordered or amazon and fell in love again with the variety pack including coconut! Thanks so much!

the brownie chocolate flavor was surprising, tastes very good but more chocolate than brownie It came full and complete packaging, and fast. This is not as sweet as other versions that I once had, which I liked. I recommend for anyone who's had stroopwaffels from Belgium!

So happy I could get these in bulk! I tried it at Starbucks and I got hooked!

After a trip to Amsterdam I was craving stroopwafels. These were appealing to me because they don't contain soy. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. These are way better than I expected them to be! They don't contain an excessive amount of sugar and they're even better if you warm them up before eating. I will be ordering more.

I was buying Rip Van Wafels at Sprouts every week for about $1.69 each-- not cheap. They offer three different flavors, vanilla, honey and another sort of vanilla. One day I wondered whether these were available on Amazon and I was pleased to discover that they are! You can find different flavors to try. This was a pack of 12, all the same cookies & cream flavor. When you calculate the cost, it came to about $1 per cookie rather than the $1.69 I was paying.

I wish they had a 12-pack with different flavors in each box. But I'll buy these on Amazon going forward. Great value for a wholesome, healthy treat that my daughter loves.

Description

Rip Van Wafels are perfect for breakfast, snack, workout fuel, or as a delicious dessert. This variety pack gives you a taste of our most popular flavors.

I was first introduced to these wafels while interning in the Bay Area, and of all the snacks in available to use, these were the ones I wanted back. They make an excellent snack/treat, and unlike most processed foods/cookies, they don't give you a sugar crash, and they actually tide you over.

The only reason I'd give these four stars rather than five is because I prefer the Honey & Oats and Toasted Coconut flavors, whose flavors I think come out better, but make no mistake, these are still delicious.. From other stroopwafels I've had, the traditional cinnamon and caramel flavor doesn't come through as well as I'd like/am accustomed to. The cinnamon's not really there (but technically these are labelled Caramel and Vanilla, so I don't know that I'd consider that a valid complaint), and the caramel's flavor is a bit overwhelmed by the flavor of the wafel itself, but it is still there.

That said, they are flavor- and texture-wise (and ingredient-wise) miles ahead of the packaged cookies you could buy in stores, and they're flavor is deliteful.

Picture above is to demonstrate the size of wafer.

I purchased these as a little treat/energy booster for when I backpack on the AT. They are a perfect size serving for a sweet tooth. And I do feel like it gave me a boost of energy with its pretty pure ingredients. Plus, it has a little bourbon vanilla in it...yummy!!! Its the perfect chewiness and flakey all wrapped in one.

Only thing bad about them is they are kind of delicate. If they get smashed or if you try to tear off a piece, it can be crumbly. BUT, totally worth the purchased

I’m addicted to the chewy texture and sweet caramel. They fill that itch for something sweet perfectly without tasting over-the-top. Great size for a treat.

GREAT taste! Definitely are excellent when warm.

Had these first time on an airline trip, love the non GMO and low sugar, they taste wonderful, perfect snack. first snack I reach for on all my airline trips.

Peet's Coffee Espresso Capsules, Crema Scura Intensity 9 (10 Count) Compatible with Nespresso Original Machines, Single Cup Coffee Pods

Finally, a viable alternative! I have 3 Nespresso machines: 2 Original Line and the Vertuoline. Recently, I have seen a marked deterioration in Nespresso’s customer service, so I was looking for alternatives. As soon as I heard about Peet’s capsules (fab coffee and fab customer Service) for my machines, I placed an early order.

YUM! I just made my first cup. The crema may be slightly ‘softer’, but it’s there. I made a shot, added a lungo shot of water, and warm cream. Delicious. Not bitter, and excellent flavor. This was the Richezza capsule. I also sipped it black before I added the water and cream... smooth and rich. I will update this review as I try the other flavors.

So pleased to reduce my spend with Nespresso. And: a bonus: when I received the box, I could not believe there were actually 40 capsules in it. The packaging is brilliant, compact, and no capsule dents. (See photo.)

I guess I'm pretty much like everyone else. I've had my Nespresso about two years, and tried all the different varieties for first few months before settling in with the 3 or 4 I like best. Well, that gets boring and they all started to taste the same - that same flat Nespresso flavor to all of them.

I'm glad I tried the Peet's. So far they just taste fresher, brighter, and better - They seem richer with more character. I'll still buy the Nespresso ones I like, but these are a nice addition to mix up the routine a bit. So far I'm diggin' the Peet's Ristretto and Crema Scura (yum!), tho I haven't tried the other two. The capsules are all metal and work flawlessly with my machine - and they arrived in perfect shape, not all banged up (A++).

Peet's now offers very sleek aluminum capsules for Original Line Nespresso machines which are manufactured by JDE (Jacobs Douwe Egberts) and contain nonspecific Arabica coffee that was roasted in France. Each box was made of mixed board from responsible sources, and the packages are distrbuted by Peet's in Berkeley. The capsules look really good, perhaps even more visually enticing than Nespresso's own capsules. They weigh in at 7 grams each before brewing, just like my Nespresso capsules and I've had no problem running these through any of my Nespresso machines. I've heard of people becoming excited when they open a box containing coffee capsules for Nespresso machines and smell the contents. I don't want to smell the coffee because I want it to be sealed within the capsules where they will remain fresher and likely will produce more crema. These are indeed hermetically sealed and there is no coffee aroma until the capsule is punctured and the hot water releases the coffee liquid into the cup. The flavor profile of the Crema Scura which is rated as a number 9 is not like the Arpeggio or Envivo Lungo, the Nespresso number nines. It tastes like Peet's espresso coffee, a flavor that brought me back to my days in San Francisco, when I would drive to Berkeley to purchase a bag of coffee that was roasted in house. I would enjoy a cup of fresh brewed coffee for free with purchase of a pound of beans, something unheard of at that time. When I tasted Peet's Aged Sumatra, I savored the longlasting after taste that lingered long after the coffee cup was emptied. When I moved from the Bay Area, I ordered my Peet's coffee from California or had people put a bag or three in their suitcase when they came to visit. My own suitcase always smelled of Peet's coffee because I was charged with bringing it back East for the friends who had tasted it in my home. Now, it's available in grocery stores, big box stores and restaurants, just like Starbucks products and a gazillion other coffees. Just check out the Jacobs Douwe Egberts list of products to see a few that I'm sure you'll recognize. The price of these capsules is two cents more than Nespresso Arpeggio or Ristretto but three cents less than the Darkan or Kazar which are my personal favorites. They have a distinct flavor which some may consider "burnt," but I call a full mouth earthy flavor. I will supplement my usual purchases from the Nespresso Boutique or mail order with these, knowing that I can enjoy a nostalgic cup of Peet's coffee from my Nespresso machines, but they will not take the place of my Nespresso coffees. Being that they are aluminum, I suspect that Nespresso will be able to accept these for recycling. If not, I'll wait to purchase more Peet's capsules until I can take them into my local Peet's stores for recycling.
I just added a photo of the capsule brewed as a Lungo in my Inissia.

I've tried all 4 Peet's options for Nespresso and this is my impression of the Nerissimo Intensity 11.
(small caveat: I grew up with Peet's Coffee and seek out its espresso whenever/wherever I can)

IN BRIEF: Peet's has the best non-Nespresso coffee for the OriginalLine machines; that said, Nespreso still tastes better and pulls a smoother, richer cup across the intensity board.

PACKAGING & PODS: As mentioned in other reviews, Peet's did a splendid job creating a solid, practical yet classy box for each 10 capsule batch. The pods are well protected and the box is gift-ready, just add a ribbon : )
After over 2 dozen capsules (various flavors), there has been no issue of one getting stuck or improperly pierced.

NOW THE MONEY SHOTS: I drink espresso, short and simple. The Nerissimo would be the equivalent of Nespresso's Darkhan or Kazaar. Whereas I can drink and still savor the latter two several minutes after pull, the Nerissimo loses its crema and whatever little distinct flavor it had within 30 seconds (see picture). It is dark, it is strong and it is intense - any other note escapes me.
Perhaps the Peet's folks agree since the description on the box suggests adding a bit of cream!
With a teaspoon or so of 1/2 & 1/2, this brew is now rich, strong and smoothly intense. A sort of cafe breve or cafe noisette. This espresso would be ideal for an Affogato.
Through about 2 dozen capsules (various flavors), there has been no issue with the volume of coffee/liquid extracted.

RECYCLING: At the moment, there is not a program to recycle. My local recycling center has refused to accept the pods. I have been mixing the Peet's pods with the Nespresso ones and sending the bags to the Nespresso recycling hub.

BOTTOM LINE: Peet's Nerissimo is dark, strong and just flat; best with some cream or ice cream. For the money and richer, livelier flavors, stick with Nespresso. So says this sad Peetnik.

I decided to try Peet's Coffee Espresso Capsules in my Nespresso maker. I love Nespresso - but as of late - their quality control has been off and I have received damaged capsules. I have had Peet's Coffee on trips to San Francisco and thought why not try it out! The capsules fit just fine in my coffee maker. And the result is a coffee with a very nice crema. Taste is good (I have only tried #'s 8 and 9 so far). I prefer to drink my coffee as a latte each morning and the Peet's works well. I will say that the original Nespresso capsules have a richer taste - but overall I think Peet's has made an excellent coffee and one that I will definitely buy again.

Finally, a non-Nespresso pod that has great taste AND consistently works in Nespresso machines.

I usually buy Nespresso pods, as I love the taste. In the interest of cost-effectiveness, however, I have tried many (most) of the other options for Nespresso machines. I have been disappointed based on the taste many times, and then there are those others brands that are decent coffee, but the pods are constructed primarily of plastic. Not sure if my Nespresso machine is unusually aggressive, but I end up with multiple mangled pods, and just colored water in my cup.
Peet's capsules taste just like the coffee in its shops, and the pods are metal (like branded Nespresso.) I have ordered dozens of these, and have never had one malfunction.

Bought these pods for my Nespresso Essenza. Worked well--no problems with the quality, fit, etc.
HOWEVER, two things that I'd like PEET's to address here:
1) The pods are NOT recyclable. Forums state that Nespresso will discard any third party pods sent to them for recycling. Peet's really needs to come up with a program for recycling.
2) I understand the packaging says "Made in France. Distributed by Peets" or something to that effect (I threw my packaging away then found this out later through research). So is this really Peet's coffee, known and loved by many...? I'm dubious. Is this just Peet's *name* applied to a non-Peet's product?

Had a meltdown in a Nespresso store over the price of pods... really! In Europe where I commute, they are half the price and its just maddening to spend that much for an espresso. Monthly, its nuts! So I have begun the hunt for a different, more reasonable and rich capsule. Peets (from whom I have had coffee for years) is right up there in the running for the ribbon; perfect fit in the machines, rich and robust and creamy head in each cup. And the price is right! Will be trying other brands over the next few weeks but of the 4 I have used so far, Peets leads!

So, Nespresso is kind of my secret guilty pleasure. Despite taking my coffee, and especially my espresso semi-seriously -- I roast my own beans and have a reasonably good grinder and semi-automatic machine -- I find myself making Nespresso several times a day. I've got a machine in the kitchen, one in my office, and one in my shop. I've got machines at or other residences. I've even got a small Nespresso machine on the bookshelf next to my bed, so I can have my first shot of the day lying in bed -- ah, luxury!

The thing is, while I can certainly make a better espresso the traditional way, it's a bit of a bother! Each time I roast new beans I have to dial the grinder and the machine in again. And even then, the quality of my shots is somewhat inconsistent (admittedly this is probably due as much to my skill or lack thereof as it is to the equipment). And of course it's messy - despite my best efforts I always end up with coffee grounds on the counter. So I find myself going to the trouble of making the real thing only on weekends or when we have company. The thing about Nespresso is it's trivially easy, 100% consistent, and -- while it's by no means as good as the best I can do the hard way, it's really not bad at all.

That is Nespresso (tm), though. Nespresso-"compatible" capsules? The ones I've tried, and I've tried a few, *are* bad -- generally *really* bad. Stale, crema-less, bitter slop.

Until now, that is. I'm happy to say that the Peet's capsules are just fine - at least as good as the run-of-the-mill Nespresso "grands crus" (there are a few lines of Nespresso capsule that are a step above in my opinion). I suspect, although I can't confirm, that this is because Peet's capsules, like the real Nespresso capsules, are packed under nitrogen, unlike the compatible capsules I've run into in the past, so the coffee doesn't go stale. And of course I'm sure they use good, relatively freshly-roasted coffee, although today's Peet's has come a long way from the daily-roasting store I remember from my Berkeley years!

Unfortunately, the per-capsule price of the Peet's coffee is essentially the same as that of Nespresso capsules, that is to say, pretty expensive. I remember not that long ago when Nespresso capsules were about 40 cents each, but they, like the Peets capsules, are almost twice that now. At about 5 grams of coffee per capsule, that's over $60 a pound! By comparison, I can get roasted beans at my local Peet's for $15/pound, and I typically pay under $10/pound for green beans. Now, I know it's not a fair comparison -- I'm paying for consistency and convenience. But I'm fairly sure that the $0.70/capsule price point covers a fat profit margin (it wasn't that long ago, as I said, that Nespresso capsules were 40 cents each).

Despite the fact that they seem to be pretty much as good as the real thing, therefore, I am not particularly likely to purchase Peet's capsules in the future for the simple reason that they are no cheaper than Nespresso capsules, and Nespresso has such a variety of capsules available at any given time that I'm not likely to get bored with their selection. Now if Peet's, or another roaster able to match the Peet's/Nespresso quality level, were able to set a significantly lower price point it would be a different story - I'd be all over them.

This was supposed to have been a lightning deal, so I thought to try it, but somehow it never happened. It would of been a fantastic deal too. I was upset that I didn't get the lightning deal and I got a refund. But when I tried them, wow, these are great. I was quite surprised. The capsule were made exquisitely with alot of attention to details on how it looks too. And for taste, another wow, it had great taste no bitterness, aroma as it comes out of the machine and well body with very nice crema too. So if you can afford to purchase at normal price, you will not be disappointed. For the rest of us, I will wait patiently for any future lightning deal or discount if it ever happens.

French's Crispy Fried Onions, 24 Ounce

These fried jalapenos are absolutely delicious: spicy and salty! I eat them as a snack by themselves...my mouth is watering as I write this. The only food item I eat them with is salad, to which it adds great texture and flavor.

I will never buy these from amazon again, however. I buy them at Costco for $7. I paid $18 for them here because I was desperate during the holiday season when Costco swapped them out for fried onions. I now buy multiple packs at a time to avoid that happening in the future.

YUM!

My daughter gave me a small container of these. They are great. I loved them so much I searched Amazon for a larger package. Awesome. Have now ordered my second package. These are so good!! I just made the classic "Campbell's Green Bean Casserole" replacing the french fried onions with these jalapenos. OMG!!! The best!! Definitely has a small amount of heat to it, but tastes wonderful. Will definitely make again, if there is any left after snacking on them. YUMMY!!!! May not look pretty, had to stir per original recipe. Has some heat!

Came to amazon to buy French's Original Crispy French Fried Onions 26.5 oz and found these as well. I didn't even know these were made. Worth trying if you like things with a little kick. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the price. I believe they should be the same or only a little more than the french fried onions.

I use this on everything. Put a layer of this on your sandwich, your burgers, eggs, sprinkle it in your soup. If you like a little kick you'll like this. It is bit of a delayed kick. I must confess to occasionally eating it out of the bag. At first it doesn't seem hot and then it kicks in at the end.

Really tasty. I was buying from Costco originally but they went to a lesser quality and less tasty brand. I don't like the one they are selling now so I came to Amazon to find the French's brand. It cost me more but the taste was much better.

Awesome! They're just like the fried onions we've enjoyed for decades but with spicy hot jalapeños. We've put them on sandwiches, eggs, veggies, rice, mac and cheese and more.

Oh boy!! I LOVE this product. Sure add's a kick to every dish that I use them for-everything from green beans to potatoes!!! Put them in a cup of soup before serving them, bake them, just everything!

I am super happy to discover these are non-gmo because they're the most well know brand and easiest to find in stores. I also love that it comes in a bulk size!!! They're perfectly crunchy and not too salty.

These are delicious. I use them in cooking especially to brighten up dishes. I am so happy that I found them because originally bought them at BJ's wholesale club and of course they disappeared. They are great.

I could eat through the entire bag in a couple of days, but they're also perfect for adding to salads and burgers. Not super spicy, but enough to give pause if you don't chew it well enough

So f-ing good. Favorable and just a mild hot, it's really good on anything that needs a little something- eggs, beans and rice, etc. Not a "hot sauce" as much as a flavor enhancer. And, name aside, not really avocado in flavor; the avocado base just provides a little creamier, smoother, richer base for the spiciness. I can see people who don't like avocados still liking this sauce.

I think this stuff is great! I am a “sauce lover” and always looking to try new fun sauces. I’ve had this on so many things (eggs, tacos, burgers, etc.) and it’s really good. It has good heat and a nice flavor. Pretty subtle on the avocado (more like a tomatillo sauce kind of), but avocado is so mild anyway that’s to be expected. I’ll definitely be buying more, and would like to purchase the Be Sweet next. I also like that it is mostly clean, minimally processed ingredients.

Awes taste and flavor. Not to hot just little heat and great flavor. Taste awesome on some chicken cheese tacos.

Some are saying you can't taste the avocado, but I'm tasting it in every drop. However, I don't notice the vinegar at all, which is probably a good thing. It also has a nice lemon/lime flavor. I would like to try all three, but I've only tried the hot as they are sold out of the sampler.

I like to spice up my food and this sauce does that without being too hot. It is delicious and really adds a unique avocado zing to many foods like eggs or meats, Bravo. I will try some other varieties.

Description

These hot sauces are a fresh and vibrant change from the traditional red chile and vinegar-based sauces.  They are stunningly delicious on eggs and pretty much anything you love to eat.  Crafted from veggies and fruits such as avocados, onion, bell pepper, cilantro, garlic and just a splash of vinegar, Kumana adds flavorful heat without too many calories or fat to reinvent traditional dishes or be the finishing touch to anything you are sharing at your table.

This is a very good tasting sauce. I was expecting a bit more avocado flavor, like a guacamole puree, and can definitely taste the the avocados in the sauce. But it's also has a strong onion and pepper flavor, as well, which can be a bit overpowering to me (as someone not a huge onion fan). When I make homemade guac, I like to leave out the onions. However, this is still one of my favorite sauces I've tried lately, and love to put it on scrambled eggs and sandwiches (especially black bean burgers and regular hamburgers). It does have a sort of citrusy-cilantro type of kick too at the end, which is refreshing. I recommend this if you are in the mood for a less traditional, less spicy hot sauce.

This is a great tasting sauce and it's becoming one of my favorite sauces. But, it's not hot,not even a little spicy. However I like it so much that I just ramp up the heat with reaper, scorpion or smoked ghost pepper powder and it's perfect.Excellent for burgers, eggs, steak , pretty much anything.

Bought this sauce kind of on a whim when purchasing another hot sauce. It looked interesting, with avocados and cilantro (two of my favorites), so I clicked and added it to my cart. When it came, I added a taste on a teaspoon for my wife and I, and WOW! Spicy, somewhat tart, and very flavorful in just the right combination. Changed what I had planned for dinner to flautas just so we could use this South American sauce! I'm positive that this one bottle won't last too long -- I see another one in our near future! Do yourself a flavor, and if you love not overly hot but really tasty sauces, BUY THIS!

I ordered the original version of this sauce, and it is amazing! It isn't really hot at all, maybe a slight hint of jalapeno. But it is so good on eggs, tacos, or even just as a dip for tortilla chips. Yes, the expiration date is shorter than most sauces, but that's because of the avocado. I just received the sauce (4/12/19) and it expires the end of June. No big deal for me because it will be gone before then anyway. At $9.00 (12 oz.) it is a little pricey, but for me it's worth it. I'm hooked and will continue to order more.

Love this sauce... it’s super spicy!!

McCormick Crushed Red Pepper (Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher), 7.75 oz

I feel like we use crushed red pepper in so many of our dishes. There is just something about how it seasons that gives just the right boost to food but it has been hard to find in local stores. Maybe I'm just not timing it right, but I finally decided to look on amazon.

A search for another McCormick item let me to this product. Given how much we use crushed red pepper, I didn't have to worry that the size would be too much. It is also McCormick which is a brand that I trust. The organic label is nice but not a requirement As long as it provides the right taste, I'm good and this item does and we're glad and relieved to have this item back in the house. My turkey burgers feel a lot tastier again.

These are as good as any crushed red (hot) peppers I've had, and are healthy for you
as they are not grown with unnecessary pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
Worth getting, and a good price too!

A very good deal for a large size - blends well in sauces and tastes great when used with a marinade for meat or chicken. Very spicy!

Quality product; good price; prime delivery.

I use this in recipes and on pizza. Nice consistency, good taste.

How much can you say about red peppers? For me, first and foremost, these are organic. Who even knew that you could get red peppers that were organic? A very pleasant surprise. (I buy a lot of spices from name brands but truly don't remember seeing an organic label before.)

We use a lot of crushed red pepper in daily cooking in our household. These are definitely fresh (by look, smell and taste). It's a good size given our usage. The container it comes in has one of those two-sided lids (where you can shake it out or scoop it out) that are always useful.

Of note, it is filled to the brim and when we first opened, it was hard to shake out the flakes as it was packed very tightly.

I gave this four stars instead of five because I am not fond of plastic for a storage container for anything, especially spices and herbs. It's practical to have plastic (no fears of breakage as you cook if it slips out of your hands) for frequent use, but glass is better for storage.

I've been switching over to using organic spices over the past few years and I was very glad to find that McCormick was selling a fairly reasonably priced large container of some of my pantry staples. I've already tried out the onion flakes and now the crushed red pepper as well. The flavor was strong and fresh and the quality is excellent. No stems or powder to be seen in the jar. McCormick has a few interesting recipe ideas on their website including a Hot and Sour soup which I plan on trying.

McCormick is a name brand I grew up with and I'm SO glad they got onto the organic, non-gmo, band wagon. There are a lot of great, organic brands out there that I was using (much more expensive), but now, I'm using McCormick whenever I can. This crushed read pepper is SUPER fresh! You really don't need a lot to get a nice heat on whatever you're using it on (or, yes, if you want more!). For the last several years, my teenage son has been using it on every. thing. We all love it on our pizza, scrambled eggs, sandwiches, add a touch to guacomole...you name it ~ we really use it on everything. A brand my mom trusted, and a much improved brand for me to use and count on!

We love to sprinkle crushed red pepper on a lot of our foods. The heat is easy to control depending on how much we sprinkle on. It's great to use this on finished/cooked foods individually because the folks that don't like heat can just leave it off. Pizza is great without it but when adding some crushed red pepper it tastes even better! We also add this on our roasted vegetables. Broccoli oven roasted with olive oil tastes especially good with a little sprinkle of crushed red peppers. A sprinkling over spaghetti also adds a lot of flavor.

These crushed red pepper flakes taste fresh and deliciously hot.
