I cut one of the copper nails in half to see if it was actually copper all the way thru. It appears they are! Im using these as removable tips for a DIY spot welder used for connecting batteries together via nickle strips. However, the nails are extremely rigid and shouldnt have any issues being hammered into a tree. I would feel confident they could be hammered without bending.
I was pleased with this product. I bought the nails for 3 tree stumps that I have and was informed to use copper nails in the stumps. I don't see anything different yet; however, I'm hoping next summer I won't have the tree seedlings popping up. Too early to tell right now, but very happy with the product.
I bought this product because I chopped down a small tree in my yard and it started to grow back from the stump. I put a few of these nails in the stump and trimmed all of the growth and this stump is not coming back!
I have spiked 6 trees and the first one is dead. The others are looking sick except one large tree. I may have to add more spikes to get that one.
I've had these in my mango tree for about 2 months now. It seems to be working, slowly but surely.
