I would have given it 5 stars if it came with instruction. So here they are. It has a black hard plastic piece in the center. Don't try to get the kindle in with the plastic piece like I did multiple times. Remove it, orient the camera with the case and stretch the case around the Kindle. My son loves it. Especially using the case to stand it on the table. I would recommend this for older kids. My kids cracked their old ones dropping it in the bathroom. I think this case would solve. They like that the case lets it stand up.
There's not many kids cases for the new 2017, amazon fire HD 10" with Alexa, I thought I was going to be disappointed because I just ordered my only option but I love it! My 3year old son can carry it by the handle without dropping it! It's a rubber silicone feel that's not too hard nor not too soft! Perfect for support in case of a fall yet sleek enough to look cool and not too bulky. The handle multi purposes as a stand which is another great feature and a must have! The only thing is the screen is not covered by anything to prevent scratches or dirt/sand- so I bought the plexiglass screen protector for it and it's perfect!!
Just buy it! It's big and bulky but says "I will protect your device at all costs". If you're looking for stylish and "cool" this isn't it. My 2.5 year old son feels "cool" walking around holding this by the handle. He's dropped it several times and the tablet wasn't damaged at all. Once you get the hang of it, the cover is easy to remove (to clean chip crumbs that got under the edges). My only complaint is, I wish it tilted back just a little bit further when using the handle as a kick-stand (bottom left image in the main photo). It's pretty straight up and down. I'd totally buy this again.
I first should note that already had one of these for my 8" table so that says something that I bought from the same company when I needed a larger one.
I bought this some time ago and have always loved how easy it makes the tablet to use and carry even though my hands shake. But today it got it's first real test. I grabbed it on the fly failing to notice that it was still plugged in. The connection held long enough to rip it out of my hands and hurl down to the tile floor. No damage at all was suffered to tablet or case. (shout out to the Amazon, even the tablets charging port was completely unfazed.)
So it easy to get the device into the case. It then fits extremely snugly. All the ports still have easy access as well as camera and mic. It is easy to carry and use. And it affords drop protection.
We have 4 kindle fires in this household and 3 of those belong to my kids. We've upgraded devices several times and there have been times that we have just wanted a new color and I've always purchased this brand. We have never once broken a screen, which of course is also partly to do with our tempered glass screen protectors. By the way, these do not include the screen protector. This is just the case. Ok, on to the specifics. These cases feel like a nerf case. I would guess they are approximately an inch thick and the kindles fit tightly inside. The holes for the camera, charging port, etc line up perfectly with no issues and you can still easily access power and volume buttons. The handle is incredibly helpful for little ones and it folds down to double as a stand. I'm not kidding when I tell you that my kids have thoroughly tested these cases. They have knocked their devices off of couches, countertops, you name it. My favorite is when they have headphones in and forget about them and just sit the kindle down to walk away and end up dragging it behind them. They've been launched onto counters and floors when they attempted to "toss" them on the couch and missed. They have survived it all. My kids have gotten older now, but we just upgraded to 10 inch kindles for Christmas and purchased these again. You never know. Best money spent.

We bought three of our grandchildren the ten inch Kindle Fires for Christmas and then realized they needed cases for them. I found these and thought the colors were so bright and cheery I ordered one in blue one in red and one in green. Not only are they pretty they take very good care of the kindles inside. My three-year-old granddaughter dropped her Kindle down the basement stairs, we thought for sure it would be broken but when we retrieved it, nothing broken!!! I would definitely recommend these cases for anyone that wants to keep their child's Kindle safe.
Great protection for my son's kindle fire. He has dropped it several times already and no issues. My only complaint was that it doesn't stand correctly when using the built in stand. It will stand at a 90 degree angle and then after a few minutes it will too over. I bent the stand over night with weight in it and that has seemed to help a bit and allows the stand to lean a bit back rather than standing straight up. Great company and customer service as they communicated with me and tried to help solve my issue.
I really like the case but I wish they would have place a tag/label on it. It came in a clear plastic bag with no instructions or company name or labels of any kind. The other thing is that the handle is just not strong enough to keep the new 10' Fire Kindle from tipping over. I love the way it was made and how it protects our Kindle and it fits it beautifully.
I really like this thing. It is exactly how it looks, a big soft pretzel protecting your device. It may be intended for kids, but as an adult I find it to be the best protective shell for my Kindle I've ever had. I prefer it to my expensive and cumbersome Otter Box, which is excellent but complex.
One thing - it does not work very well as a stand. The handle folds over, but never achieves the angle needed for the device to actually stand up. I guess I could just try to really grab it and crank on it to see if I can force it to work, but should that be necessary? If this were fixed this would be a five star review.
No complaints. Works great. Kiddo has dropped kindle several times and this has protected it. Love the handle that folds so he can watch videos while sitting at the table and the giant handle is just great for lugging it around. Wipes off easily and the color is nice and bright so it is easy to spot when he is looking for it. Great price for a great product! Highly recommend!
