Reolink Go [US Version] 1080p 3G/4G LTE SIM Card GSM Outdoor Mobile Cellular Security Camera No WiFi Solar-Powered Rechargeable Battery-Powered, SD Card Slot Cloud Storage, Weatherproof, Night Vision

I got this for a house in the middle of no where that has no wi-fi and it works great. The camera captures the entire front of the house and then some. It was kind of a pain to setup. I ordered the Cricket 4G Lte sim card from Amazon (one of the options recommended by reolink), put the sim card in my phone to activate it and then put it in the camera and it didn't work. I called cricket and they were no help because they said they don't support reolink cameras and the sim card won't work for this option. The instruction manual was no help either. It turned out I wasn't getting a good enough signal. I ended up taking the camera to my house where cell service is stronger to get everything setup and then took it back and installed it. It took a bit for the sim card to get a signal at the site but now it works fine. You can talk on the camera and people can talk back to you. So far so good and I only signed up for the $30/mo plan with Cricket to run the camera.

The camera came in a sleek box, kind of reminded me of how Apple packages there devices. Set up was very easy, plugged in my existing sim card from T-mobile and a 32 gig microSD and it immediately turned on, stated camera connecting to network and it was working flawlessly in under 2 minutes.

I'll update this review in a few months but so far very impressed with the quality of this product. I was originally looking for a field camera with cell capability / compatibility with T-mobile but its virtually non-existent. I considered the Nest outdoor cams, however we are using this on a job site that does not have wi-fi running so it was not an option. The only field cameras compatible with T-mobile service that I found charge you additionally for a subscription to their service or had bad reviews with customers that could not get the products to work.

This was extremely easy to set up and working right away, I'll post some photos later to show the camera quality at night and during the day.

I specifically waiting to write the review until I've used it for 30 days. Below is my experience with the camera. Bottom line up front is I love the camera and would purchase again.
PROS: Both the camera and app were extremely easy to setup. Reolink obviously spent a great deal of time making this very easy and intuitive. The camera does very well in low light areas. The picture and video quality is very good as well. The ability to customize primary and secondary data streams is very nice. We fully charged the camera prior to installation. We also purchased a matching solar panel from Reolink and it has kept the camera charged between 50-100% for the last month, depending on weather. We also found the ability to log into the camera and listen to the audio very useful as well as the microphone picks up very well. In the beginning I had a couple questions that were submitted to their technical help. A very thorough answer was promptly received in a couple hours. The requests contained several questions and they were very good at answering each questions specifically, not a canned cut and paste answer. We purchased a SIM card from MINT mobile which utilizes T-Mobile. The card was very easy to activate online and the camera accepted it and logged online during the first boot. The 10G plan ran $25/month. To give folks an idea of data, we used 4.5G of data our first month. We're building a new house and mounted the camera in a tree to help monitor the property and to provide a time lapse photo of the build. Both my parents and my wifes parents logged into the camera several times a day to watch the progress. My wife and I logged into the camera about once an hour to take a snap shot for use to make a time lapse movie when completed.
CONS: I'd like to see the camera app have the ability to take a picture once every selectable time period. This would have kept us from having to log into the camera every hour for the next 7-9 months to create a time lapse movie. The camera can record on motion, but it is limited to about 33ft. In our case we mounted the camera about 15 ft up in the tree so the that doesn't leave us much distance left for motion activation. I'd like to see some customizable covers for the camera. It's bright white. In our case we were attempting to conceal the cameras existence so we covered it with an old black dress sock which worked very well. The location of the saved photos and videos are hard coded on both the APP and computer software On the windows computer is directly in a Reolink file folder on the root of C:\. This becomes a little cumbersome when attempting backups. It would be nice if you could direct it to a place of your choosing. The specs indicate the working environment is down to 14 degrees. Our weather here dropped down to single digits last week and the camera went offline for about 24 hours. It did come back online when the temps rose to the 20's. This is a testament to their solid software that the camera regained service without me having to make a trip out to the site to reset the camera when it warmed up.
None of these CONS are show stoppers to me. The camera works very well as designed and I would purchase it again. Most of the CONS are things that didn't fit my usage, not a failure on the cameras part. A suggestion to the manufacture would be look into adding a version that would permit multiple cameras to be linked together so only one SIM card would need to be purchased. We have multiple areas that i'd love to include but i'm not crazy about spending another $25/month for cell service for each.

I was very hesitant about making this purchase based on the reviews. However, after a month of using this camera I’ve discovered that most of the issues people seem to be having are more likely related to their data plans than the camera itself. It took a full 24 hours after installing the cellular card for the camera to begin working properly but once it did I have had absolutely NO problems. It’s worked amazingly! I love being able to check on my horse whenever I’m traveling or out of town. Being able to live stream her from my phone is so awesome and having everything back up to the cloud has made it easy to check on specific time points. Don’t be scared off by the reviews, if the camera doesn’t work right off the bat, give the cellular card a day to connect with the network. I highly recommend this camera! I purchased a trac phone cellular card from Walmart, downloaded the app and I just add more data as needed from the tracphone app. Also, I didn’t purchase the solar panel to charge the camera, I’ve just left the charger plugged in since I had an outlet close to where I installed the camera.

We just bought this camera for my elderly mom who lives alone in a rural area. I'm not a techie so my daughter-in-law figured out the setup for me. Since my cell provider isn't one listed, I purchased a Freedom Pop Micro SIM as posted in another review and an SD card as a reviewer said. The confusion for me was I thought since I used a cell provider not listed, I had to have another phone and had to buy a second SIM card (Freedom Pop) for them to communicate but I didn't have to. Once the app was installed on my phone and the SIM & SD in camera, we was able to start the camera and it is great! I feel better knowing we can view the camera when someone comes to the door at night and my mom feels so much safer than before! There has been suspicious activity in her area and knocks at the door late at night. I'm so grateful someone is making a camera for persons who don't have Wi-Fi nor internet in their home as many older folks are not of the generation to want or use those. Now that I know this camera will work in her area, I have just ordered the solar panel and plan to add another camera in a different area of her property. Thank you Reolink!

Recently, the county Sheriff came to our house telling us someone had been on our property who was arrested for robbery. We have a very long driveway and we didn't even know someone had been on our property. The reolink go seemed to be the best option because by the road there is no power or network connection for a security camera. The only thing that made this camera only 4 stars was that it isn't intuitive on how to set up the cellular service for the camera. The reolink website says you can use AT&T. The only problem is you need a pre paid SIM card and you can't add it to your AT&T cell phone plan. After some exchanges with reolink supoort, which was prompt and helpful I got the camera to work. You need to purchase a FreedomPop SIM card. The link to buy it from Amazon is below. Activate the Sim card on freedompop website. It will tell you you need to set up an APN. But it wasn't needed as far as I can tell. Once the camera was able to get a good cell signal I was able to connect to the camera through the reolink app. Hope this helps others set up the Sim card.

Update: I bought a $15 64GB Micro SD card and put it in the camera. It saves a few seconds when notion is detected. The SIM card below gets you three months unlimited service. It works great on the ATT network and gets 4G service where I have the camera. I also bought the solar panel to go with it. So far I haven't seen the battery drop below 98% and it's been pretty cloudy lately. All and all this was a good purchase and is meeting my needs of having a wireless security camera. Upgrading to 5 stars because the SIM card issue isn't really that much of an issue once you know what to do.

So far have only been using it for a day but am very impressed so far. Setup took several tries, with incremental progress each time, and the connection was very spotty until I updated its firmware and it's been working great ever since. I am using it with a Project Fi (Google Fi) SIM card. The only things I would suggest are that it would be nice if you could set the camera to record a video clip or take a photo at regular intervals, and also to be able to tell the camera remotely to record something to its memory card, without actually streaming the live video over internet.

If the power goes out this will still work. i took it to the t mobile store and they added a sim card for $10 and 2 gigs of data for $10 and it looks like that will be plenty for the month. Per month it will cost 10 dollars for data and for the value it provides me, its worth it! and it works good!

This was perfect for our needs. We purchased a piece of property that we are renovating but don’t have WiFi up yet. This allows us to monitor activity going in and out, without having to physically be there.

To keep the cell usage low, we have the resolution turned way down. I also had to set sensitivity back to about 75% to stop the constant notification when the trees made a shadow on the ground. It is costing me about $20 a month in TracFone carsd (use the T-Mobile card, it cannot read the AT&T compatible card). When someone actually did come on property we couldn’t actually read their plate but we could get a car make and model. Eventually we will go to WiFi cameras, but for now, this fills the gap.

I was hesitant getting this camera with some of the reviews I read, but as I got deeper into the reviews I realized you can't fix stupid.

I bought 2 of these as I live in a small rural town where internet is not offered, but I get great cell reception. The manufacturer recommends using T-MOBILE for the sim cards to connect to a cellular network, so I did just that. Got 2 sim cards with the 2GB data plan which is only $10/month per sim card. I bought these prior to the cameras arriving.

As soon as the cameras arrived I installed the sim cards, installed the batteries and in like 3 minutes they were both connected to the network and ready to use. Next I downloaded the app and added the 2 cameras. The app is pretty easy to use and works good, I've tested all the modes and everything works great. I took some HD screenshots from the cameras and they quality is great, you can see them in this review.

Overall these cameras are great and I will definitely get more.
