We HAD a satan mouse. In about 450 square feet apartment, we kept adding up to 14 sticky traps and 4 caught and release traps. The mouse would just go around them. Then we tried to make the mouse leave by putting aluminum foil on the table so we do not have droppings and hair where we eat. We added 2 boxes of dryer sheets; we used 2 bottles of peppermint pure essential oil and 2 bottles of clove pure essential oil spread around the apartment on cotton balls. We all had headaches from all the aroma and the mouse remaind with us, happy as can be - like it owns the place. It did not even walk along the side of the walls but crusing troughout the center of the room and most open areas. Then we tried to open the door of the apartment and leave bait in the building’s hallway and tried to release the door to close it behind it. To our shock, the mouse would make it inside before the door closes.
We tried to put bait in a small trash can and try to cover it with a towel when the mouse was inside. Somehow it would still escape.
Then we got Authen mouse trap!
In about an hour after placing them troughout the appointment, we heard the trap snapping sound. And our naightmare was over!!!!
I was writing this review when another trap went off!!!!! We got second mouse that was the same size as the one we had! I am not sure if we are in horror of ground hog day and our satan mouse was back or what. We were sure we had only one mouse!!!
Boy, are we glad we got them. It became personal because nothing worked for about 10 days!!!! And an hour or so with Authen traps snap and is DONE!
Traps are very easy to set up as well as release of dead mouse without touching it. One click and a trap is ready for another one!!!

LOVE THESE!!! It may be made of plastic but it is killing any mouse that dare check it out. I’ve caught (killed) 5 in the last 12 hours! I’ve been aware I had a mice issue but was too hesitant to use an edible poison. All 6 traps were and are very easy to set unlike some of the comments I saw. I have only used peanut butter. 3 never even touched it and 2 had a nibble of theirs. I threw the dead mice outside and have fed some hungry owls!

Most excellent customer service. They reached out to me about a possible problem. Upon checking the operation of the traps it was confirmed that there were a few that weren't working properly. I emailed them my testing results and they are sending me replacements. I will be a life long customer.

I got 4 traps 2 didnt work from 6 as I report this to them and send me a new traps and I also catch allot mices they do work nice.

This little SOB could have lived out his life in comfort had he not kept running across the room when there were people present.

We got six of these traps. They are easy to set - they don't have the risk of snapping your fingers - and they have a convenient hole for the bait. Before they arrived, I put out a tiny piece of Parmesan cheese and it was gone the next day. I put three of these traps out with a variety of cheeses but nothing was taken. Strangely, there was little evidence of mice droppings.

Somebody said to use chocolate or peanut butter, so I stuck a piece of chocolate in the bait hole of each trap and topped with Jif. Two nights still nothing. I suggested it was a ghost mouse but my daughter reminded the cheese had been taken so it was real. As the man of the house I was failing, so my wife decided to clean out the pantry. Eureka! She found where the little cuss had been living well on rice and marshmallows and leaving lots of little black pellets. She really cleaned things up, and so after depriving it of its food source, I set all six traps, plus a common Victor-type trap.

Next morning: Bingo! Our house is very tight, and we think this mouse must have run in when the door was propped open, but we'll leave the traps out for awhile just the same.

Moral of Story: Clean up your house and get rid of any hidden food! The mouse will come to your bait then. Note the bait hole in my picture is empty - it popped out when the trap snapped.

Anyway, good product.

I have not been able to catch the mice terrorizing my kitchen for months. Quick same day shipping. I received these trap yesterday and woke up to a mouse trapped with little mess to clean up. I have heard some mixed reviews but so far I’m impressed. I always put 2 sided tape under the trap so it sticks to the counter and makes the trap more secure so as soon as the mouse climbs on it the spring is triggered. I’ve also learned to put multiple traps within a foot of each other. Best of luck!

It really is. I was hopeful, then really surprised at how well these work.
A couple months ago, mice showed up in the annual Fall migration, apparently running up the pipes from downstairs.
I bought the long-time standard wooden Victoria traps and caught the occasional mouse, but mostly I'd find traps in the morning with the bait nibbled off of the trigger. Worst of all, when the traps did work, the critters weren't always dead, just damaged and suffering.

The Authenzo traps are an interesting design in that the bait is placed in a cup located BELOW the body-sized trigger. That is, the mouse can't get to the bait without climbing ON to the trigger. It is more sensitive in a no-fail manner.

An added advantage -- the lever used to set the trap also serves to easily release the mouse into the trash or out of doors without my touching the spring that killed it. And . . . another one just snapped! That's 5 in 24 hours.
These traps have been so effective that the bait (peanut butter) always remains. I haven't had to re-bait them. It is simply a matter of flinging the body out the back door and into the woods, then resetting the trap as-is back under the sink ready for the next critter.

Best of all, the spring on this appears to be more powerful than the Victorias. The trapped creature is not left to suffer.

My dad bought the classic wooden mouse traps and set them all over the house but they never got activated. The rat actually took off one of the baits from the wooden traps and took off without a scratch.
I decided to order these mouse traps since they had the best reviews and left my trap set on top of the fridge.

The next night my dad was happy to dispose of the rat that roamed our house during lights out.
Very effective traps, they are kind of big..but very effective and extremely easy to set up.

BEWARE: There is a product similar to these mouse traps from a different brand but the reviews for that product are completely unrelated..It seems like a scam. The reviews were talking about other unrelated products.

The bait cup detaches from the trap for loading bait (I use peanut butter - it stays fresh for a long time). Easy to cock with one hand, even with my arthritic hands. Easy to dispose of the mouse - just hold the trap over your disposal container and cock it. The mouse will fall right out. I used all 6 traps on our kitchen counter the day they arrived, and the next morning there were 6 dead mice. Caught a couple more the next night, and haven't had any more in over a week. I'm sure there are more of them in the house, but they're not on the kitchen counter any more. Next I'm going to place several traps in the garage.

I used cereal at first, but it was too light so the mouse kept stealing it without setting it off. used cheese on day 3. RIP 🐀
