I have been using this brush for a little over a month now. I love it! I would recommend.
I used it on three different types of animal hair.
1) Shih Tzu / Rat Terrier Mix - Medium Length hair, mats easily.
I first used this on my Shih Tzu Rat Terrier Mix(see pic with big green toy). He is more Shih Tzu than Rat Terrier. He has medium length hair that mats very easily. He didn't mind the brushing at all. I didn't hit any matted spots. It pulled quite a bit of hair in just a few brush strokes.
2) Shih Tzu / Rat Terrier Mix (see pic of her eating a treat)- Short(ish) Wirery hair
I tried the older Shih Tzu / Rat Terrier Mix dog who has hair closer to a rat terrier. She really enjoyed being brushed. The brush did not pull off quite as much hair, but this dog sheds much less than the other.
3) Domestic Short Hair Cat
I bought this mainly for my cat who sheds like crazy. I am very impressed by the amount of hair i pull off of him. 2 or 3 brush strokes and I already need to clean off the brush. For the most part my cat doesn't seem to mind being brushed with this. He is a typical cat so it is sometimes difficult to brush him. When I pet him after he is done being brushed I notice an immediate difference in his hair. It feels softer. The brush does not quite pick up everything. Sometimes when I am brushing him I notice the hair just being pushed around. Since I am brushing him front to back I just run my hand over the strays and add it to the pile. You will end up with a big pile of hair when you're done brushing!
I have 2 13yr old female tabbies & 1 11yr old male siamese cat. I do a lot of brushing. The siamese shreds like crazy year round. He's crazy & has the attention span of a gnat...its tough to get him to sit still for brushing, that is until this brush arrived. He loves it! Upon arrival I immediately started brushing him. Over the yrs I've used many different deshedding tools. NONE WORKS AS WELL AS THIS ONE!
Love the 4 inch wide blade . You can cover a wide area quickly. The tool goes through the fur extremely smoothly, apparently no pulling & no irritating of the skin. He liked it so much he plopped over on his side & stretched out. He let me brush his tail & the backside of his legs, which he usually hates. He even let me do his tummy (always been a no-no in the past). He was so comfortable I had to pick him up & roll him over to do the other side! The picture shows what came off him in less than 5 minutes. I brushed him again the next day & got that much again. The girls love the brush also. This brush works so quickly I'm sure I will use it more often than I normally would. NO stress for any of us! Thanks DakPets for the great tool at such a reasonable price. I didn't think it was a gimmick product or anything like that, but I am still amazed at 2 things: The first is how much hair actually comes out and how it does it. The second is how much my dog liked it. In the picture of me brushing him, you can see his eyes half closed in pleasure looking at me as I'm brushing his rump.
What I really liked was how the brush actually works like a brush, but really rips that old undercoat out of there. The blades fill with undercoat very quickly until you've really stripped the area. I never noticed until I really got into his hair how matted and tangled it really gets when he's blowing his coat. The pile of fur next to him is as substantial as any wig in feeling and weight. I bet he feels much better missing all that mess under there. I'll definitely keep brushing to get the spots I missed, but I really think his blown coat is mostly out at this point. Very very happy with the product.
We have a medium hair black husky mix. She was turning grey from the under coat that was shedding. We also have an English Bulldog with short coarse hair. The brush we had, which I had read was a good one, didn't help at all. We got this brush today and I immediately brushed our dogs. I had a small dog worth of hair when I was done. It worked exactly like I had hoped. Our husky mix is a shiny black dog now (not a grey shedding dog) and it even worked good on the English Bulldog. Most brushes just spread her hair everywhere. This brush kept all the hair together. Very happy with this purchase.

This is awesome brush, I have a long haired cat and this has cut her shedding down by about 70% it really does work that good and she loves it.
Easy to clean does not pull the fur, glides nice. Both our dog and cats love it
I got this in the mail today and just tried it. It's incredible! I have a 65 pound Lab/Duck Toller mix with very long hair. She has blow out sheds twice a year and I have clumps of dog hair everywhere in the house. Each stroke down her back pulled so much hair that I had to take it off of the blade. Luckily I did it outside because there was hair all over the place. I have never been able to do this with a brush. Highly recommend for long-haired dogs!
Edit - I should also mention that my dog has a double coat of fur. The comb got down to the undercoat.
Love this brush! I was looKing for something that worked like the SleekEz or Furminator but without the price. After reading reviews I thought I'd give this a try.
I have 3 dogs who shed NON STOP. My lab has a longer coat while my two pit mixes have short coats & dedicate skin. I hate buying different brushes for different coat types.
This brush works amazingly on both coat types! The amount of hair it brings out is fantastic. I love that I don't have to try deshedding my brush after deshedding my dogs. The hair easily comes free of the brush and it's easy to wipe any oil residue off. I highly recommend this brush and will definitely buy another when the time comes!
Great pet brush. My cat was getting a lot of clumps in her fur and we bought to try to get them out. It works fantastically. She now has a nice soft coat and I feel like she's happier not having these clumps.
You need to be careful when using in one spot for too long. You should use it a couple times a week and let the weight of the tool press down on the coat. Do not over press. Clear the comb often to get best results.

We have a large dog with white hair that is shedding like CRAZY. As in I vacuum and several minutes later I wonder what was the point? I've bought and tried other items for brushing, but didn't have luck. We used to own a Furminator with our last dog, but lost it over the years. I knew it worked well, but I didn't want to spend THAT much on one again.
Thanks to Amazon and the reviews I found this brush. Ordered it Friday and it arrived Sunday morning. I headed straight to the backyard to start brushing the dog and he LOVED it. Held completely still and did not move, but would nudge my hand for more when I was cleaning the brush. As others have said, a tremendous amount of hair is combed from his undercoat. I'm hoping that regular brushings will help curb the substantial shedding.
For reference, our dog is a Anatolian Shepherd mix around 90 pounds. I ordered the Large brush and it was the perfect size.
