This is a great kitchen knife. It arrived sharp and is holding an edge very well. I maintain it with few honing swipes on a stone every few uses.
Pros:
-High quality rust resistant steel used in higher end knives.
-Well made and has a nice balance.
-Holds an edge pretty well.
-Great price and packaged nicely.
Cons:
-The handle material is not as nice as higher end knives. For the price this is a compromise.
Knife came sharp. Seems to hold edge well. Handle is a bit uncomfortable because metal tang on blade is higher than wood on the handle. I think the wood may have shrunk after it was ground to fit.
The knife is nicely balanced, fits in my flipper like hand* comfortably, and seems to hold an edge. I'd buy more sizes from them if available. Ask me in a couple of years if it deserves five stars :)
* might not be as comfortable for folks with small hands.
This knife is very comfortable to wield and use. It is attractive and has a good weight. The edge needs some good refining as there are visible grind marks present.
I've been using this knife for a couple of weeks. It's well-balanced and sharp. It's a pleasure to use. At the price (less than $20), it's an exceptional value. I also liked that the company sent me a file about caring for the knife.
