Bought these for a mid-January visit to Stockholm, Sweden where I knew it would be snowing for a few days, followed by slush due to the snow.
Having read many of the reviews, I was worried that the quality might be hit-or-miss. My pair is/was fine.
I wore these an entire week in just-at-freezing weather with a pair of SmartWool socks. They have enough room that If I had wanted to wear a second pair of socks, I could, but I also didn't feel they were too loose with the single pair that I wore.
My feet were plenty warm, and always dry.
I can't predict how long these will last; at $50 I don't expect them to last forever, but for a week-long visit to a snow-covered city, they worked out just fine with good traction, and overall fairly light for a shoe that is basically a rain & snow boot.
I hope to use them for weekend visits to the snow on occasion, now that the reason I bought them have allowed them to pay for themselves.

Almost immediately after these arrived, I was off the West Ural region of Russia. Ice, snow, wind, cold and wet. Temperatures down to -30C before windchill, and my feet stayed warm and dry. Although these are shelled in synthetic materials, they breathe well enough for me. No leaks, no wet feet.

Unfortunately, mine had a small but significant defect. The tongue gusset protruded inward on the left boot such that it rubbed against my ankle, causing pain and a minor injury (since I could not take them off mid-trek). I tried to mitigate it, but without success. Another issue: the design and composition of the sole does not stick well on ice, so where it is slick, you must do the robot walk. I slipped and fell flat on my back, but had no lasting injuries. I had not done an appropriate slip test first. So I returned them after I came back to USA. Too bad, really, but since I had to buy another pair of boots (which cannot be returned) I cannot use them.

It may seem odd, but I still recommend them, since they worked out great in other ways, and without the defect, I would have kept them. They performed very well in snow, deep cold and wet conditions, and they are easy to keep clean. I deducted one star for the sole, not the defect, because I think with a better "ice" sole, these would be outstanding. This is important for me, but not for everyone.

Affordable, fashionable, and does what it suppose to.

I cannot believe these are $55. It is sturdy and it has great aesthetics. Well insulated to keep your feet warm even without socks. I had the pleasure to take a vacation in South Lake Tahoe and I never slipped or fell.

No leaks. Water never got inside the shoe. Most snow boots do not look good. This one looks great and I enjoyed wearing it out in the snow and the Granlibakken Tahoe site.

This is a great alternative to brands like Columbia. I highly recommend these. It looks and feels more than it is priced.

I'm usually a straight up 9.5 shoe, so I ordered a 9.5 dark brown. They arrived a day earlier than expected and looked good out of the box (came with an extra set of laces too). When I put em on they felt good but seemed pretty roomy for my smaller framed foot with plenty of wiggle room for my toes. I bought a two dollar pack of double thick foam sole inserts and man those worked perfect. The boots fit great, they were comfortably snug all over with just the right amount of wiggle room for the toes. The tongue rubs on the inside ball of my ankle just a little but the insulation all throughout the inside of the boot feels really thick. So I'm hoping that's just a matter of getting them broken in. I have an inside/outside job doing hospital maintenance so I bought these for those days when I'm out shoveling snow at 6:00 am and throughout the day. I've only worn these one full day at work but they did great. I haven't been able to give them an extreme cold weather test yet but they were super warm and comfortable for an average winter day in the high plains of northern New Mexico. So even though only four stars, for the price I would still give these boots an A+ rating.

I ordered these boots for my brother because he works in the snow and he was very happy with them. The boots fitted him as expected, very warm, tight fit due to the isolation but as soon as you wear them for a week or 2 you'll get used to them. Very warm in the winter specially if you work outside plowing i would totally recommend these boots.

Kept me decently warm for NYC when I was there for Christmas holiday. However, this is my second pair because the previous pair I bought was 8 (M) US and was definitely too small even though normally I wear 7.5 (M) US. Got 8.5 instead and it fits well, so you might want to get 2 sizes larger if you ever want to buy one. If you are wearing fleece socks however, get at least 3 sizes larger. Tried wearing this with fleece socks and I wish I had gotten the 9 (M) US instead. Was dying on the plane wearing these with fleece socks.

Remove 1 star from these because sometimes they leave my right foot slightly sore.

I read the reviews and they sold me on these. I was really wanting the Columbia Bugaboots but the price and sizing reviews held me back. These are about as comfortable as my Columbia hikers. Which is good. They look good and are warm too. I wanted a warm pair of winter boots that would also keep my feet dry that I could also use for shoveling, etc. They feel comfortable enough for doing some walking, hiking, etc. They are totally worth the money. They fit great. I usually wear an 11 wide but I haven't tried them on with heavy socks on though. They look and feel premium but at very reasonable prices. So I am very happy with these.

These are some great boots! I have a second pair now and am still waiting for the first to wear out. I have very wide feet so I got them a half size larger. they fit very well with heavy socks. I haul raw milk for a living so I go into farms and get to play in cow poo a lot. These boots Stay wet at my job. Been wearing the first pair for about 2 months now and the only damage so far is the vinal/fake leather patch that goes around the laces. It has started to peal. So far, I have no leaks though. Will be getting a 3rd pair when I catch them on sale and have some extra money. WELL worth $40. Have used them in -20 temps. They did ok. Wear good socks. At 0 degrees and above they do really Good!

I purchased these for my son. He loves them. He said they are so comfortable, and warm, and being waterproof is another great added comfort. The perfect pair of boots for cold weather for the price I paid for them. I'll know what he'll need another 2 yrs. or so from now. His last pair lasted 2 years. Good deal! These are not EH tested. But, then again my son doesn't work with electricity. I suggest you search Amazon's site for an EH tested men's boot. There are a few on here.
He will not take these boots off. He even has begun to wear them like a normal, every day shoe. Love it!!

Fit as expected after having read the reviews! (Thank You!) Good boot for the money. Bought them for 12-year-old son. Bought them larger so he can wear layers and use them next year (maybe). Got a men’s size 8. He usually wears a 7.5-8 in running sneakers (Under Armour & Nike) Yes, big & bulkier than he’s used to, but good enough to get dirty and deal with New England’s unpredictable weather.
Hoping they’ll work out ok for the snow. Haven’t had to deal with that yet! I believe they’ll be alright for intermittent times in snowdrifts. Will probably get cold feet if prolonged exposure. They’ll not for Mountain Life.
