The lights seem to be great... but the description did not mention that you really need to buy connectors...and I wish it would have said what type to buy because I stupidly bought the one advertised as "frequently bought together" but what I got was main cable connectors...not light connectors. The company itself responded to my email immediately with a picture showing how they cut the main cable everywhere there was a light...and then they spliced the lights into the main line and taped it up. I think that is an awful way to install these.
Once I had the right connectors, I had no problem at all...but that is an added expense to be aware of and extra effort. Comparable lights at the local store are much more expensive but they have connectors already attached and would have been far easier to install. So if you want more work but to save money...these are perfect...and just like everyone said, they put out a great amount of light!

This is the first review I am leaving on Amazon, because we buy so many things through Amazon that if I had to write a review for everything, I'd have no time left to do anything else.
Having said that, this company and their products impressed me enough to warrant a proper review. First of all, the lights themselves are awesome - they are all-aluminum, even the stakes are made of metal unlike most other lights that come with plastic ones. It looks to be very high quality. The light is very bright especially considering that it only consumes 5 watts, and gives a perfect warm light.
We ordered a ton of these lights to light up a bunch of large trees in our yard, seven 6-packs and then another four 8-packs, for a total of 66 lights. Out of those, only one had a problem - the reflector inside the housing was cracked. The outer housing was intact, and the light itself still worked, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of installing it, burying the wire, only to have to dig it back out if it failed completely. So I contacted the seller directly to see what they could do about it. I just asked for one replacement light so that I don't have to return the whole set through Amazon.
This brings me to my next point, the company itself - they responded almost instantly, and offered to send me two replacement lights, plus a gift. I graciously accepted and lo and behold, two days later at my doorstep were the two replacement lights as promised, along with a really cool adjustable plant LED light! Talk about going above and beyond - not only did they not give me any hassle, but greatly exceeded any reasonable expectation as to how a return process could go.
In conclusion, the lights themselves are great, and a phenomenal value especially for the price. The company is great to deal with, if you have any issues rest assured they will handle it as best as anyone. I am thoroughly impressed and will be buying more in the future.
The lights work perfect. I will admit that I added a pvc pipe to the top to cut down the beam angle for up lighting house, but the lightd are great and great quality. Some complained about needing fasteners for connecting, but this is normal for this type of light. Just pick up some waterproof wire nuts and use those. The suggested fasteners are too expensive. If anyone is interested, 1 1/2 pvc connectors are the perfect size to glue to top of light to cut down the beam angle.
I almost was leery about the purchase when I read some reviews saying that they were dim. My guess is those people underpowered the lights and got substantial voltage drop and/or used too small gauge wire.. my lights bright... prob about 25% brighter than I would like. One of my light runs was 160 feet... and had 85 watts of lights attached to it (I plan add to length and # of lights). All the lights were equally bright from one end to the other. For what you can see in the pictures I used 12/2 landscape cable and 200 watt transformers; we connected to 13v tap. What saved me was that I went on line and just typed in "Landscape lighting calculator". I found a calculator at at vista pro . It told me (based on total wattage and length of cable run) the cable gauge needed, the transformer size needed (I did notice that it never suggest that I use anything less than 200 watts.. even when I plugged smaller numbers in to the calculator). Because I am a control freak I will be installing three transformers (two 200watts and one 300watts because I want different light zones - I found great on transformers at my local big box store that may start with an "H" for $69 (200w) and $99 (300w) that were rated almost 5 stars ...Here are my pics of my project....Cheers!
Amazing landscape lighting. I thought a little beyond the box and mounted these to my fence insteadof staying them into the ground. With regular household screws and drill bits it took about 5hours from start to finish. Amazing lights, well crafted aluminum casing and soft white glow (not too soft white like grandma's attic, but not super bright blue like most modern LED'S). I bought all 3amazon recommended products bought together for this kit and they all worked perfect together. A little tedious getting the wires to push into the pins of the connection boxes but you'll get the hang of it. The lights, wire, transform and connection boxes shipped at the same time and arrived in one medium size box together.

Highly reccomend especially for the price. The light output is great. Installed 16 of these lights and couldn't be happier. I've used higher end landscape lights that cost the same as these 8 combined. End of the day - light is light. The metal stakes are good and the entire fixture is metal as well. Wish the wiring would be a better gauge but for the price still a deal. You will need a transformer to run these, some weatherproof wire nuts and cable. Will greatly increase your home curb appeal.
I just installed these lights today along with the Moonray powerpack and I just went outside and they look great. I tried the Moonray Cable Connectors and they didn't work well, so I went to my local hardware store and purchased weather proof standard wire connectors and went the standard installation of cutting, stripping wire, twisting together an using the connector, covering with electrical taped. Wish I would have done this first rather than using the cable connectors as I wound up having to do double the work and now I have used cable connectors that are useless for this project and not returnable since I used them.
I put 16 of these in the yard and they work and look fantastic nice low profile so can easily be hidden with surrounding plants. I have them as up lights on palms lining my driveway and do not know what I did without them. one pack came with connectors but I preferred to use wire nuts and grease caps as they will last much longer. you do have to strip the wire back a little more but that is no big deal. The price is great as I paid 30 dollars more for 4 lights before I found these.
These lights were not only affordable, they are bright and easy to set up. My 13 year old son helped me and did most of the work.
I had him cut the wire (not included) and directly wire them to the lights. This allowed him to place them at each tree in our backyard.
These lights are bright and durable. Much better than the expensive Malibu lights I had before that fell apart.
You really can’t beat the price. If you are reading these reviews and trying to figure if you should get them, do it. They work great and the price is incredible!
I bought the warm 5 watt 8 pack and was pleased with the over all value. The light shells seem sturdy and at least water resistant. I've not had an opportunity to let them get a good soaking down yet. For 5 watts they sure are bright. Probably at the limit for just how much brightness I wanted in front of the house. I know that if I went with a color temp any brighter than warm the front of the house would have went from "warm and inviting" to "institutional".
After 2 weeks of running one light dropped it's output to a fraction of it's original brightness. An inquiry to the vendor prompted an nearly immediate response telling me they'd send a replacement right away. Very happy with both purchase and after-purchase support.
