I bought this sterilizer 2 months before my due date. Had some issues with the steam heating system a few weeks after my baby was born and could no longer return it to amazon b/c it was pass the return date they gave me. Therefore, I contacted Papablic directly and told them about my defective unit. They got back to me the same day I sent the email and also requested to show proof of purchase and a picture of the defect. Ryan from customer service reply back within minutes and advise that I was getting a replacement within 2 days. I received the units in 2 days as promised. I Have no complaints the machine works pretty well and if necessary the customer service is excellent.
I hesitated for a long time before purchasing a sterilizer. My main concern was to buy a sterilizer that would also have a drying capability, but also buying a sterilizer that would be affordable.
The instructions are clear and easy to read, my sterilizer was ready to use in a couple of minutes. Please keep in mind that you will have to run your sterilizer through a couple of empty cycles before the first use, so plan for 2 to 3hours after setting it up before you are actually able to use it.
I have used this sterilizer several times a day every day for a couple of months. I use it to sterilize evenflo bottles, MAM bottles and pump parts. As you can see in the picture I have attached, you can easily fit 4 5oz evenflo bottles and 2 5oz MAM bottles. My only regret would be that breastpumps and bottles come with numerous "little parts" that need to be placed in the small basket, which require me to sometimes run the sterilizer several times in a row to clean everything.
I used filtered water, but the base needs to be clean rather frequently (I try to do it once a week) with a vinegar solution. It does not take too much counter space.
A few "tips":
* all the parts must be prewashed before going into the sterilizer. I use a large clean bowl that I fill with warm soapy water, soack all the pieces then rinse them well before placing each of them in the sterilizer.
* I fill the base first, then place the large basket that I fill with the bottles, then place the small basket on top and fill that up. If you fill the base last, the bottles in the basket fall all over the place.
* The sterilizer itself does not get excessively hot, but the steam coming from the top travels quite far so make sure it is out of reach from children and pets while in use. Leave it enough time to cool before you empty it.
* the pieces are not always perfectly dry, you might need to lay the pieces to dry some more after running a cycle (that has happened to me about 1 out of every 7 to 8 uses)
This was the only sterilizer and dryer we could find. How is it possible no other company has come up with that idea?
I hated the idea of having to air dry my baby's stuff afterwards. But this solves the problem beautifully.
No complaints here. It does the job perfectly. Not a single drop of water on my baby's stuff (unless you don't know how to follow directions and place the items in the wrong direction).
Worth every dime! I feel bad for parents who don't have a dryer in their sterilizer.
I have been using Medela steam bags since my son was born. They work just fine but I grew tired of waiting for my parts to dry. I didn’t necessarily want to spend $70, but I thought “maybe the convenience is worth it”.
I am so glad I gave it a chance. I can’t say enough good things about this sterilizer. The drying feature works INCREDIBLY WELL and even gets all of the nipples completely dry.
Much bigger than I was expecting (that was a good thing) and fits absolutely everything I need to steam for the day in one go around. Extremely happy with this product!
This bottle sterilizer/dryer has been put through the paces. I have used this multiple times, every single day for almost 10 months. I have been pumping since my daughter was a few days old. So, this equipment has hundreds of parts going through it every week. At one point, I estimated going through about 100 bottle/pump parts per day. It has held up beautifully! I could not be happier with the durability and quality of the product. It is huge, which is great for me, since I use Comotomo bottles and have lots of parts. Comotomo bottles are pretty wide. The nipples are huge and take up a ton of space. So, I pack my sterilizer strategically. It can fit a lot of parts with no problem, if packed with care. Additionally, they actually come out of the sterilizer very dry. I have not had problems with wet bottle parts. The heating element can be descaled with cleaning vinegar and comes out looking good, if you don’t want to bother with distilled water every time you sterilize. All bottle parts definitely need to be washed by hand before going into the sterilizer. It is not a dish washer. So, it will not clean off milk residue. Anyway, I love this purchase and I think it was one of the best items I bought, preparing for baby.

This Papablic baby botttle sterilizer and drier does the job in one hour. As others have noted, the control dial is hard to turn. The drying part is pretty loud, but only because a fan is involved. Everything is dried with the “extra dry” setting. I previously had another model which only sterilizes, and it was a pain to wait for the bottles to hang dry over several hours, which leaves water marks if the water droplets are not first washed away with warm water. This sterilizer and drier is only slightly more expensive than the one without the drier. I highly recommend this one!
New dad here. (less then 2 weeks) I’m no fool, I watched hidden killers of the Victorian home. Baby bottles are convenient but they can kill. Bioling your gear for 10 min wears on it hard, and takes a lot of time and energy. Custom bottle sterilizers are single use and are expensive.
The Papablic comes with packaging that makes the iPhone look like a piece of junk. Clear easy to use instructions right on the box tell you exactly what to do. 100ml of stilled water on the plate at the bottom, load it up with the goods and let it rip.
Stuff comes out DRY and sterile. Don’t think this is just for baby either, I’m sterilizing my plastic water cups, mouth guards, you name it. This is going to be in use long after baby is on solid food.
Cleanup is amazing. 80ml white vinegar and 20ml distilled water on the plate, drain it and you are on to your next batch.
Finally the price, you can’t beat it.
So, I rinse my bottles after use, wash with warm soapy water, rinse again then into the Papablic and this Papa is sleeping soundly (well not really I have a newborn) but at least I kniw she is safe from bacteria.
One last thing, if you think I am on the take you are wrong. I bought this on my own, and I love it so much I wrote this review. Get one and you will know what I mean.
I don’t know why I waited this long (4months) to finally buy a sterilizer !!! This is the best purchase I have made so far!! It fits all my bottles, and they come out dry plus pacifier and toys!! It looks good the color is very pretty, it’s a baby blue color. I never go back to boiling bottles, this machine saves me so much time. The instructions are easy so nothing complicated. Many users are saying that the button is hard to turn, but I haven’t had any problems.
I have health issues that mean I get sick easily, so I use this as part of an endeavor to cut down the amount of bacteria buildup around my home. I use a disinfectant to wash things and then I place them in here to sterilize and dry. I can’t verify if my offbrand use is effective, but it gives me peace of mind. I use it for various glassware and instruments like scissors and tweezers etc. I have a pet parrot that I have to keep very clean so I love having this for things like toys and stainless steel bowls.
In truth it’s honestly just a hot plate that boils water in an enclosure that traps enough steam for long enough to sterilize, but it’s convenient and as compact as one can hope for. I have lived my whole life with hard water, so it is common sense to clean any mineral buildup with vinegar as many have pointed out. My only wish is that it came with a simple measuring cup for convenience. Noise is not bad at all for either the steaming or fan dry.
This is the best thing ever for a pumping/working/busy mom! I wash bottles at night for daycare the next day and this totally beats boiling or those microwave bags that only hold 2 bottles! This is perfect for his teething toys too! My only regret is that I did not order sooner!
