What a fantastic set! It isn't often that you can find educational materials that can be used for both a 3 year-old and 6 year-old, but this set fits the bill.

We like to homeschool our 6 year-old daughter year-round to help prevent the dreaded "Summer Slump," and to allow flexibility throughout the rest of the year. We try to incorporate some fun learning tools to increase our child's natural desire to learn. I don't want our children's education to feel like "work" or a "chore" - I want them to know that learning truly IS fun. I was browsing Amazon for educational materials for First Grade and came across the Testing Mom flash cards. I had never heard of Testing Mom before, nor am I familiar with the gifted and talented tests that are mentioned in the description of this set. However, I was curious as to how our 6 year-old would do with a set that is marketed as a test prep tool for gifted learners. Free returns were offered for the cards, so I figured I had nothing to lose when I placed my order.

When they arrived, I familiarized myself with the cards before introducing them to our daughter. I started with 5 cards and once we finished the first 5, she begged for us to keep going. We don't use the cards every day, but we have used them frequently since they arrived; at least 3-4 times a week. We purchased other Testing Mom card packs and I really appreciate the fact that they offer flash cards ranging from Pre-K through Second Grade. Our 3 year-old son saw his sister practicing the cards and begged me to do them with him. I was surprised by how well he did and he was so proud of himself when he would get the answers correct.

The cards are very good quality and none have been bent or destroyed so far, even with an eager 3 year-old handling them regularly. The box that they come in seems to be sturdy enough, although I suspect if it was in the hands of little ones too frequently it would probably come apart. I do keep our flash card sets stored away when not in use so none of the cards can become damaged or lost.

These are a great product for children to learn and have fun while doing so. I highly recommend these sets to any homeschooling families, or families of children who attend conventional school to help as a learning aid at home. I have already mentioned these cards to some of my fellow homeschooling moms!

I try to teach and review concepts with my preK and 1st grade boys with activities and experiments instead of memorizing facts or using traditional flash cards. While these are cards, thy aren't at all like traditional uses of flashcards. They are more like little activities and discussions. My 5 year old loves the space babies. My 1st grader took the Wisc last year to get into his current private school. We didnt do any preparations before it and so I was surprised that my brilliant boy scored average on it. Discussing the results with the psychologist, I realized that the questions and expected answers were simply unfamiliar to him. Both my guys may have to take the Wisc in the future (Puerto Rico private schools love it) and the concepts presented in these cards give them the vocabulary and concepts to communicate the material on those type of assessments.

My child likes doing the “games.” She really likes figuring out the “puzzles” on the spatial concepts cards. We’ve only gone through some of the verbal concepts, and the beginning cards that we’ve gone through are too easy and she lost interest. I’m guessing they’re more challenging later.

Truly fantastic product. My kids have had these for a week and haven't stopped using them. We call them "smart cards" and they're a great way to get my kids' brains activated--get them thinking! TV off and smart cards is what we like around here. The kids actually use these and ENJOY THEM. It's wonderful. Thank you!

I bought this to help my daughter who struggles with tests. Though she does well in class, she did poorly on her IOWA test. She really enjoys using these and it's a great tool to introduce these testing concepts. Highly recommend!

Very good learning material. My son likes it. We learn 10 cards every night before sleeping.

I got these cards as prep for the NYC Gifted and Talented test. My 4 year old loves these cards! She’s asking to do them daily after school! What a dream! And she really learns a lot.

Awesome product! Easy to read and follow instructions. In the verbal cards clear instructions and breakdown of’How’ to follow thru with an activity. Spatial concepts puzzle like pictures and sequencing. Daughter loves it makes the time fun and fast!

Easy learning cards, even if your not doing gifted testing. A great learning tool

My preschooler loves these flash cards! Not sure yet if it will help in his G&T test yet but we will keep using them as long as he is having fun. We do about 10 flash cards before bed when we “play school” with his stuffed animals.
