2 (of the 20) squares (10 percent) were clearly defective (see photo). Their thickness was about 1/32 (not 1/16), most of the adhesive was permanently stuck to the wax paper backing, and they were deformed. I had already started my project when came across the defects and so a return was not possible. My advice is to review the entire contents (not just the first one or two like I did) and then decide if it is worth the trouble to return it and buy a new one. The portion of the product I used worked as expected.
Update: After reading this review the seller reached out and replaced my order with a new one. Awesome customer service and unexpected too on an inexpensive item as this one. Consequently I have changed my rating to five stars for excellent customer service.
I got them initially to stop our microwave from sliding across the counter we opened or closed the door, or pressed a button. When I first saw them, I doubted they would work. They are thinner and firmer than I expected. But, when I tried them, they worked just fine. The pads are quite large, so I was able to use just one, by cutting it up into 4 smaller sections - one for each foot. I am sure I will find other uses for them in the future.
The foot pedals on my elliptical exercise machine have hard plastic ridges for added grip. Unfortunately they only serve to hurt my feet. I laid two of these on each pedal and voila! problem solved. Good thickness, soft enough for bare feet, and a strong adhesive that works even on rough surfaces. Good stuff. Solved my problem!
I recently installed vinyl flooring and needing something to prevent our large couches from sliding. Unfortunately, the feet are 5" x 5" squares making it really expensive to buy commercial non-slip pads. I took a gamble on this and figured it would be a cheaper DIY way that let me make whatever size I wanted.
I am happy to say that these have enough grip to prevent sliding while still allowing you to kind of move the furniture if you lift it just enough to not drag completely on the pad. So far, it's been about a month, and we haven't noticed any dust or anything clinging to the base of the couches or chairs, and the sound dampening has been awesome for pumps and a few other mechanical things that we wanted to quiet down :)
I originally bought these to try to fix some rattling in the plastic of my dashboard in my truck. I think it would have worked but then the truck was totaled so I never really got to see if it solved the problem.
However, I keep finding other uses for them. I bought a used snow blower recently, and it was missing a little rubber piece that kept the drive lever from banging into handle when released. I cut a small piece of this foam and stuck it underneath the lever and it works perfectly. I wasn't even that careful to clean the surface first and the adhesive stuck well.
This is just a good thing to have around, and you'll find reasons to use it.

Adhesive Foam Padding, Self Stick Weather Stripping Foam; These are great for insulating drone batteries for cold weather use. I have use these on batteries for Mavic 2 Pro, Mavic 2 Zoom and Mavic Air. With this thin layer of adhesive foam on the outer surface, the batteries stay about 15°F warmer than without. I am happy with the results and my drones are flying safer in the Winter weather. I would suggest to the seller that cutting this material to fit all the popular DJI Mavic drone's batteries would be a very good idea for a new product, and people would pay twice as much for a set of winter battery warmers.
I used this foam as padding for a carved wooden mask to make it fit better and help it be more comfortable. This stuff worked like a charm. I had enough left over to use some of it to stop the noisy vibration of an ac filter cover. Peel and stick and the vibration was GONE! It also sticks quite well. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it can be a little difficult to peel. This is just a minor issue and comes with the territory I suppose since it sticks so darn well. It does have a little bit of a smell so I would recommend letting it air out a day if it is to be close to your face.
I have a coffee thermos that started to retain water between the air insulation layers (I stupidly soaked it in water ... Bad idea!) I couldn't get the water out without peeling off the foam and unscrewing the bottom. I let it air dry, put the screws back in and cut a new foam bottom out with this. It looks amazing! The green thermos is the one I replaced, and the blue thermos is what it looked like before. The lumps you see are the screws, not this product.
We shall see how the adhesive and the foam hold up to some light surface cleaning. (I will not be soaking this anymore!) I'll update only if I have negative remarks on how it holds up.
Got these to use for lining the bottom of a metal decoration that I didn't want to scratch my desk. It was easy to cut, sticks well, and is working out great. Arrived quickly. I can think of many uses for these.
I bought these to put into a cosplay helmet.
The helmet was a tad loose and needed something to keep it in place (My wig wouldn't do). I decided to buy these and put them inside of it.
The padding was just what I needed and as described by the seller.
I did not have a problem with the adhesion, or cutting the pieces down to what I needed.
I plan to buy more in the future.
