For what it is at the price it is, it’s a fine little product. Mine came with a small corner piece that doesn’t seem to fit the opening. It needs to be mirror imaged! It has no pump. It doesn’t have a programmable timer. And the on off switch for the LED is off-on-on and so far I can’t say what the on positions do other than turn on the LED light. The LED is pretty low power as they say.
Things they could improve: raise the price 2-3 dollars and include a usb wall wart and programmable timer. Raise the price 10 dollars and include all that and a WiFi controller and water level sensor and better LEDs. The controller could be embedded in the LED post.
Still, a great price point. Just don’t expect an aerogarden at $18.
Update: the top plate was upside down! Corner piece fits now. So maybe this goes to needing better instructions?
My wife was thrilled when this arrived because she's been big into plants this past year - and to have one indoors in such a cool looking pot was a super plus.
We have kids that are in middle school and they usually have a plant project every once in a while so this thing was fun for the whole family to put together - it was very easy to put together though so it didn't take long which gave everyone a sense of accomplishment!
Fitting the container together with the LED lamp was super simple, the little boxes of dirt or "smart plugs" was very easy to use - the picture instruction on the 3 small white boxes was very self explanatory.
once we placed the smart plugs into their plastic containers and plunked them into the water container we were pretty much done, just plugged in the USB power cord to an extra usb phone charger we had laying around and turned it on!
we were surprised by how beautiful the LED light was - a nice bright purple/pink - can't wait to watch our plants grow! Would recommend for anyone who loves experimenting with growing their own plants in the house - science!
The smart garden is perfect for my small apartment and those seeds are doing great! However, it is only include three seeds on the pack, if the seller could have more options for people to choose, I think it would be wonderful!
I just opened the box and I had two feelings.
1: yes it looks great in my kitchen garden window.
2: it is really small.
Hence I would say I am happy as how it looks but after planning the seeds and growing plant I am not sure how much I can really grow in them. But it will look nice on the window side.
I use it as a indoor seed starter for my garden. Very low maintenance, don't even need to water everyday. No need to worry about my seeds when I'm traveling. Great product

Steps for usage :
1. Insert the LED light into the cultivator and cover the planting plate.
2. Pour the tap water or pure water that has passed through the water for 24 hours into the cultivation device from the water inlet. The amount of water from the top to bottom is the best near the second water level line. Water is added when the water level is below the lowest water level line.
3. Place the rapid rooter(not included) in the seed capsule. Then insert the seed capsule into the planting plate.
4. Connect the USB cable and turn on the power.
5. Turn on the LED light when there is insufficient light. (led automatic operation 6h, will be started every day from time to time)
6. It is recommended to change the water once a month.
Precautions :
- Please try to place the cultivator in a sunny place. The LED light is used as a supplement to light and the plant grows most vigorously.
- Most herbaceous plants enter the optimal growth cycle at room temperature 20-30 degrees Celsius.
- When cleaning a simple plant grower, be sure to remove the LED light.

This looks so cute and work pretty well to help sprouting plants start growing. It won't have any effect until it starts to sprout but once it does, this does wonders.
So far, so good! I planted my seeds and now I wait! Seems like a quality unit, the price was awesome. I will update in a week or so.
I love this little garden. I got it for a preschool project for my toddler so we can watch it grow. Great value.
I like that it is easy to set up. Fits great on my desk. Will be a great learning experience for the kids.
