I ordered this sewing kit to help with basic mending that I do with my clothing as I'm a petite person. My mom liked it so much that I gave it to her. She likes that it is so compact and has so much in it. Perfect for fixing small items and doesn't take up a lot of space. The scissors are cheap, but the rest of the kit is good for simple repairs. There is a good selection of thread color choices. It has all that we will ever need if we need to sew something in emergency. The quality of the zip pouch is excellent and it makes sure that we don't loose anything as it has slots of individual items.
I keep this on me practically everywhere I go; more so because it's a great little emergency repair kit, beginners learning kit, really, Just a good kit to have around
I've altered a skirt with silk/elastic material, a couple shirts with varying thickness, as well as other various items, and the needles/threading/scissors held up very well while also having very little resistance with diverse fabrics.
This sewing kit is just the right size for those quick emergencies. I love that it has so many thread colors. Everything is well organized.
