This set is great. Rechargeable batteries instead of having to buy more. Comes with a tiny wrench to remove the hooks. They can't be removed without it. To me this is good because the it won't accidentally come out. 2 brightness on the LED light hook. The handle is big and part of it is rubber. This makes it nice to hold on to, your hand doesn't get tired with the bigger handle, and it works for left or right handers. Outstanding product.
This lighted hook is , in part, to help people like me who have limited vision. So why is the instruction "manual" written on the bottom of that paper and written in the tiniest type known to man? My husband finally got his magnifying glass and was able to read the instructions. I could not. How much better to up your type font to maybe a 10 for us low vision crocheters. Hopefully that will be fixed in the future. And my hooks have no black sizing marked on them. I can look and figure out a size pretty much but still .....no black markings.I still like the feel of the hook and the light works fine so far. I am looking forward to making this tool work for me. In spite of my grievances, I am glad I bought your product.
I bought these hooks on a whim but I really LOVE them!! All my favorite sizes are in the set and the connection or ability to switch them out was great! They also came with instructions for charging and they also tell you about how long the charge will last! I like that there are two different levels of brightness. I used these to keep from bugging my hubby when I crocheted at night and they worked like a dream! I really enjoyed getting the extras as well! I can grab this set and I have everything I need except yarn!
This exceeded expectations! I expected poor quality and a faulty light. It's perfect! I am seriously going to give away all my regular hooks. I spent like $8 at a craft store for one battery powered lighted hook and it worked poorly and quit after 5 minutes and never turned back on. The extras bag is so convenient too, and the shears are very sharp. This same set without the extras costs the same on wish and doesn't have fast shipping. I'm glad I got it here instead. This hook set is a dream come true. I used a silver permanent marker to label the hook sizes for quick changes.

We stumbled upon this product as we were doing research on the best way to crochet black yarn (my favorite color) and while there are many solutions (contrasting colored hooks, crochet on white background, using more lights, etc.) nothing comes close to having light directly from your hooks. This set caught my interest immediately. I have crocheted for over 50 years and had previously purchased 3 different sizes of hooks which had small batteries. When the batteries ran out, I tried to get new ones at different chain stores. Due to those stores not always having them in stock when I needed them, I use the battery ones less and less. Light up hooks are helpful for older eyes. So, I tried your set and recharged with my computer. No more need to hunt batteries or order them by mail, paying a shipping charge. In today's economy this is very helpful. In the future I hope to be able to say how long the clear hook tips last. I do not consider this to be an objectionable problem. Wood and plastic hooks can break and metal can bend.
Getting so many sizes in the set is also a good point Lastly, the carrying pouch with accessories is another good point. The cost was well spent.
I liked the crocheting hooks. There are three settings and the brightest level is good. I don't really use the dimmer level. I still think I want an overhead light when working with these. They are good when you're using dark yarn, but I don't think I would be able to use them as the only light source. I was also told I would need the little wrench to remove the heads, but I have found I can do it without. I am not sure if that is good or bad. I did have a problem with the scissors that came with the kit but the company was more than willing to make it right.
Update: NOT good for amigurumi or other tight crochet. The replacement from my first broken hook just broke. I will be looking for a more durable hook with an ergonomic handle. I’ll still use this handle and my remaining hooks for my non-amigurumi projects, and the light is still great for dark yarn.
The hook(s) itself is nice. With the interchangeable heads you only have one handle to worry about having a charged battery. The ergonomic handle keeps my hand from getting achy, and I have no issues hitting the light button when I don't mean to (though it's easy to activate when I need it). I did have one hook break, but they took care of it when I contacted them. The accessories are also nice EXCEPT the measuring tape is in Chinese and metric units. If you work in imperial (aka American) measurements, this will do you no good.
Absolutely love these. I got them today and immediately tried them out on black yarn. They work great to see with the hard to see black. They glide so nice through the yarn. Love the way the handle feels in my hand.
