I took this as my carry-on on a plane and on my cruise and used it for going to the pool and to the beach, etc.
Pros:
~ It is INCREDIBLY light-weight!
~ It fits a LOT of stuff in it!
~ It folds up into a reasonably small square, though I have bags that fold much smaller (not backpacks, though!) easily - I only folded it after arriving home and it was super easy.
~ Looks nice - I got black and it has a little neon yellow patch on it so it's easy to identify.
~ Has a chest-clip, which is really nice if you have a lot of weight in there.
~ It never felt like I'd overloaded with weight - I wasn't worried that the fabric or stitching couldn't handle what I had in there. (Granted, it was not jam-packed or overly heavy but I would have been confident putting quite a lot more in there.)
~ The two netted side pockets were super handy for my kids water bottles and/or sunscreen.
~ The bag is reasonably comfortable to wear as long as it's not scraping against your skin. There is slight padding in the straps and they are adjustable for length. Add the chest clip and it'd be pretty comfortable without the mesh/netting!
Cons:
~ The "netting" on the inside of the shoulder straps was super irritating to my shoulders. I was on a cruise so I had bare shoulders (swim suit, tank tops) and it was quite uncomfortable. Much better on plane rides where I had at least a t-shirt on but even then it was still irritating to me.
~ I'd love a few more pockets. In the big compartment there was a slot where I slid in 3 tables of various sizes (one 10", one 8" and one 7" - all Samsung). There were two smaller slip-slots on the opposite side of that but they didn't hold much. In the smaller compartment there was a netted zip area and a space to slide a phone or tablet behind plus the area in front of the netted pocket. (Note that things could easily fall out of that area as it opens most of the way.)
There was also one smaller zip pocket at the top on the outside which was handy for our passports and ID's as we went through security. I had to keep having my husband get things out of it because it was irritating to my shoulders to pull it on and off. It would have been nice to have a couple more zip pockets, maybe on the inside of the big compartment area?
Overall, it's a good, sturdy bag for being so lightweight (it is floppy so when I say "sturdy" I mean well-constructed) but it depends on what you're using it for and how you're dressed when using it. I don't have sensitive skin so that's not the problem. If you're wearing a bulky sweatshirt this will probably work just fine and it has some good features. If I were to buy a similar bag I might look for a bit more bulk to have shoulder pads without the netting/mesh on the inside.
I love that this backpack folds into itself for storage or packing. It's a very nice design with plenty of pockets, however I wish I would have known just HOW lightweight it is. It's like windbreaker kind of fabric, so while it is strong, it's not got very much shape to it, and I wouldn't put anything heavy or pointy into it. Good for carrying clothes etc.
I was actually surprised at the quality of this backpack. With the price being so inexpensive I wasn’t super optimistic. This is a great back pack. So compact. Tons of pockets and places to put things. This will be perfect for our trip to Europe this summer. I’d buy again for sure.
I wanted a lightweight backpack for work to replace an older canvas backpack. This is great. Very, very lightweight yet sturdy and holds more then I expected. I wouldn't take it on long treks, but as a daypack it would be fine. I like the chest strap, which was important to me. The material is like a windbreaker.
I bought this backpack so I can carry around my portable O2 and try and look cool. Well as much as someone can look cool carrying around a O2 tank. It is small and seem a little flimsy. But it is nice because you can fold it down and place it into your luggage or another pack and pull it out when you need some extra carrying power. This is a very light and thin backpack. It holds a good bit of stuff and is comfortable enough for a day with a light load. It is not a hiking or school backpack but good for a spare change of clothes or to hold some lighter items when traveling. The lifetime warranty is great bonus.
I haven't used this for very long, only a month or so. But I really like it. I packed it for a trip and I thought for sure the fabric was going to rip at the handles and other potentially vulnerable places because it feels so light/thin, and I packed kinda heavy, but it held up fine. The straps are comfortable and it feels like the weight of the bag sits where it's supposed to on my back. I actually really enjoy wearing this around. Hopefully I'll never have to use it but I like that there is a whistle you can strap in front of you.
Only complaints are that I would like to have a couple more separated compartments, there's only one big pocket inside the main area, and for it to be slightly less floppy, but I guess it's like that for the purpose of being light and foldable. Also a couple more places to clip things, and sometimes the zippers get snagged on the surrounding fabric if I'm not careful. That said, I still recommend it.
So far it's sturdy & exactly what I needed to keep my work supplies together. Look at the product photos & imagine that the backpack shriveled into a wrinkly raisin, then you'll know what it actually looks like.
Took this on an international trip and it worked great as a day pack! Lightweight, folds up and stores easily. Lost one star because the color was off, and that's important to me.
I use this backpack for 8ish mile round trip hikes.
Pros:
It's pretty light and easy to fold up and store when not in use to save you space.
It's got plenty of storage compartments.
Water holders on the sides can easily hold full hydro flask bottles.
Cons
Backpack has thin material, causing anything to poke out of the body and have the backpack disfigure making it a hassle to rearrange things each time you pull something out.
Straps are pretty thin, and the buckles are made of cheap plastic, but has it's uses.
You can't attach items with carabineers without disfiguring the entire backpack body.
Stuff can get smooshed easily with heavier items causing all the items to get squished in other pockets.
