Have had my lights for only about a week now, but I can honestly say, I LOVE THEM. Videoed them and posted and have gotten a few requests wanting to know where I bought them. Happy to say, I passed along the info so hopefully others will be as happy as I am with my Gold Armour Outdoor Solar Flickering Flame Torches. And NO, I paid for mine, I have not been paid anything for this review. Mine worked right away the first night and look awesome. In other words, they look like real flame torches. I hope they last a long, long time. Again, VERY happy with this purchase!
When I first received these, one of the candles turned on as soon as I pushed the on/off button. By the next day it had stopped working so I contacted the seller. They got in touch with me immediately and mailed me another candle. I asked if he wanted the damaged candle back and told me no, not to worry about it. AMAZING customer service and the Candles, AMAZING as well. I'll be ordering more!!
All in all, I love these.
The color/brightness/movement is realistically torch-like, though the flicker pattern is predictable and repetitive enough that they become less believable the closer you get. I give them 100% fire-like at 50' which drops down to 75% at 10', but this is focusing on them and judging. Having more than one helps, as it's harder to notice the repetition, and when they aren't actively the focal point I'm sure that will help too.
I like the brightness level. These cast enough light for the night-blind to navigate without destroying the night vision for light-sensitive folks like myself. I'd say you get a good 15' radius of nightlight level illumination out of them, that is enough to not trip on things.
These are about 2' tall, made of sturdy plastic, and come in 3 push-together/pull-apart pieces (head, post, and stake). There's an on/off button which is as subtle as the solar panel at the top. Given this, I plan to buy some longer posts at the hardware store to make better use of these in my SCA encampment. I will be buying more when my household decides how many we need!
These have been out on my patio for a month and I love them. On sunny and cloudy days, they light up at night and "burn" until the sun comes up. If you're too close, they look like LED lights but from at least several feet away, they take on the look of flaming torches. A friend saw them and loved them and that made my selection of his birthday gift easy. I had Amazon send a pair directly to him and he was very appreciative.
UPDATE: My torches were outside all summer and winter and are still going strong. This has been the best solar powered purchase I've ever made.

WOW, these are even more fantastic than I had imagined they would be. The light is bright and amazingly looks like real flames. Yes, they are a little pricey compared to other solar lights but I'm so glad I bought 4 of these. Don't hesitate if you are considering these as they are a quality lights. Even though some reviewers mentioned that they are not very tall, they work perfectly for me in my backyard patio area.
This was my second order for these wonderful Torches, so now I have 6.
They look absolutely like real flames and it is a delight to see them come on automatically every evening.
Note: They are Solar, so they do need to receive some direct sun during the day to fully re-charge, so do not expect them to work under an enclosed car port or anything like that. When it is a sunny day, these last all night & automatically turn off at dawn. On cloudy days, they may last only a few hours. No maintenance required by me to date. They are a joy to behold. I look forward to seeing them come on each and every night.
We are so thrilled with our flickering solar “torches” that we plan to buy two more. Even from close up they look like real flames, but we especially like looking at them from inside the house as the “Survivor” tribal council comes to mind. Hope they last a long time, as we’ve only had them few weeks, but they do “burn” late into the wee hours on a day’s charge.
Actually I purchased these lights to try and scare off the deer from chomping on my hedges.
The flickering flames are very realistic and I was a little worried at first that my neighbors might call the fire department so five stars for appearance .
As for the deer? Not quite sure about this as of yet but my hedges haven't been touched since I put these out.
In any case, I ordered four more to set up a perimeter around my garden so at best, I will have solved my critter problem and at the very least , I've got the coolest garden lights in my neighbrhood.
Received this 2 pac yesterday. They even had two extra 12 inch sections in the box , which makes them around 44 inches tall. The picture only showed one 12 inch section for each one and says 32 total inches high. They both work really great and very realistic. Hope they last a long time. Update, Nov 20. Had problem with them not staying lit very long. Customer support acted very fast and corrected problem . Excellent customer service.
