I am loving April’s Hyaluronic Acid Serum! I have only been using it for a few days but already see a huge difference in the deep creases on my forehead. While they are not disappearing, the deepness of these creases appears to have lessened. This gives me hope for further results with more time using this product.
This product arrived nicely packaged. I love the classy glass bottle and very nice glass dropper. Packaging is marked with both a “Manufacture” date and a “Expiration” date. This is great to see. Instructions are clearly printed on the box and not in teeny tiny print! In my opinion, this serum has absolutely no scent. The serum is not greasy and easily works into my skin. It dries quickly and has a nice firming effect. At least that’s how it feels to me. The serum leaves no sticky residue as others I have tried do. A nice plus when continuing with your beauty routine.
I will continue to use this product with high hopes of further results. I do believe this is a quality product and I would recommend it to others. The price is fantastic as well.
I actually bought this serum to use for my hands. I am a nurse practitioner and wash my hands CONSTANTLY. I also have recently developed dyshidrotic eczema on my hands which can be quite painful at times. I needed something to help keep my hands moisturized and this hyaluronic acid serum has actually helped a lot. I really only use it at night but I can already tell the bumps on my fingers from my eczema has improved since using it. I am sure it would work equally as well on the face, but I already have a set skin regimen and don't like to stray from it (though it does incorporate a different hyaluronic acid product that I love!). All in all, I would recommend this product but cannot speak to the facial benefits as I only use this one for my hands. It is not sticky at all and leaves my hands sooo soft! It also makes them look very youthful!
I put a layer of this serum before I put on a piece of mask (It was said that the serum was absorbed better under the pressure of a piece mask.) My skin looks wonderful this month. My mom even noticed that! I am not sure it is because of the mask or the serum. I think they both work. Recommend!
I’m not one to post reviews but oh my gosh I love this product. My bottle was delivered May 2nd and I put it on in the morning after the shower and before bed after washing my face. I already see a noticeable difference in the fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead. It also doesn’t leave a sticky feeling which I hate with certain product. This Product dries within 30 seconds and you don’t even notice you put it on! I highly recommend.
After using for almost 2 weeks, by the way day and night, I found it fits my skin much better that which one I always use, a usa brand. It looks like my face bling-bling every morning!

Definitely noticed a more hydrated skin.It works great for my skin in just a few days.
I asked my daughter how my skin looked. I didn't tell her I did anything different, and her response was that my skin looked brighter.
I have oily, but according to my esthetician, dehydrated skin. I also have a huge issue with closed comedones on my forehead that started about a year or two ago, while the rest of my skin is okay. I was told by my esthetician to start using HA serum because it will help my skin, especially on my forehead. The serum she suggested was over $100, so I went to amazon and found the Aprilis brand HA serum and ordered it. It didn’t help with my forehead at all. But with that said, I have to give Aprilis ha serum four stars based on what it does do. Since using, the skin on the rest of my face is great. It’s soft, supple, moisturized,and blemish free. My skin is gorgeous now (except on my forehead).
I did get a pimple on my nose when I first started using it which I've never had before.
But I’m very pleased with this serum and just bought my second bottle.
UPDATE: I used this product for months, before trying another brand that cost less. The other brand literally peels, if you rub your face after it dries. So you can't use that other brand under any additional skincare products. I'm returning to this brand and sticking with it. Plus, Aprilis shows a noticeable improvement while using it.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I've been using this HA serum for 7+ days, every morning and evening after cleansing and toning. I have very fair, sensitive and oily skin. While I'm prone to minor acne breakouts on some ocassions, some skin care and beauty products can immediately cause a flush on skin; and, on a more rare ocassion, trigger a minor acne breakout. This product didn't cause any negative reaction from my skin.
After months of researching and trying under eye creams (affordable and expensive brands), I finally decided to give a HA Serum a try. My under eye area now feels soft and plump, the single wrinkle that began to appear under each eye earlier this year is becoming less pronounced. I'm hoping it will diminish after using the HA Serum longer. Any tint of darkness under my eyes is also diminishing, but I didn't have much darkness under my eyes to begin with. But, 7+ days of the HA serum under my eye area is already significantly better than any of the various eye creams I've tried.
Although I do use it all over my face and neck, I put three small drops under each eye, then pat it around with one finger. I wait until the area goes from slightly tacky to matte (approx. two minutes for me), then I repeat this process two more times. Only after finishing up the under eye area do I then apply the HA serum to the rest of my face and neck.
The product instructions state that you should pat your entire face down after to increase absorption. I assume that it's referring to doing so with a wash cloth or perhaps tissue, but not sure and I thought it was pointless, when this product goes matte sitting two minutes for me. I think that if you get carried away with the dropper for the HA serum, then you will likely have this product slipping and sliding across your face until you pat it down. Your face can only absorb at a certain rate. I recommend that you take your time and apply this product in phases. You may get the same matte state in two minutes like I do after my skin absorbs what I apply, then you can apply more. The idea is not to drown your face, it's to let it "drink" at its own pace.
My only real worry before I bought this product was that it might smell bad. My sense of smell often kills the use of a product for me, even if the product scent is pretty smelling to me. I only noticed a slight smell to this product when I apply it to my face. The smell disappears for me, when the product goes matte. I'm not sure that the absorption is the connection, but the scent disappears quickly for me.
I only wish the bottle had a better seal between the dropper and the bottle. And, that the product came in a larger size and the HA serums were less expensive. I'll keep wish!
