I just received this backpack today and I am super excited that it is here! I had an older backpack that was starting to break so I decided to go and order this one. Below I have written some comments about the backpack.
The feel/make of the backpack:
The quality of the material on the outside of the backpack seems to be really well made. The straps have good padding and feels breathable when you are wearing it. The zippers seem to be good quality as far as I can tell. I had issues with the last backpack I had where the zipper would get stuck, this one is different because it feels better when zipping and unzipping.
The look of the backpack:
I like the black color with the brown accents on the handle and front, it looks really stylish in my opinion. Not overdone.
The space/design of the backpack:
There is one main pocket that has a great amount of space, you could fit quite a bit in here with no issues.
There is a pocket area for a laptop, my MacBook Pro 2016 15 inch model fit in there great.
Also inside, there are two pockets that are somewhat elastic. You could probably put some cords, cables, adapters in this spot.
There is also a small mesh pocket on the inside, which is good for pens, pencils, erasers, headphones, cords.
Also, there is a headphone strap for the overhead style models that you can hang on this strap so it doesn't get smashed.
Then there is a couple of more pockets, one smaller one in the front that can hold a decent amount.
There are two side pockets on the outside that you could put an umbrella or drink.
The last pocket is one that is discreetly on the back side that is a safeguard from someone trying to pickpocket. You could place your phone, wallet, or something that is smaller and valuable in here, and the zipper wont come undone easily. Very convenient to have! (see images)
Packaging:
I had no issues with this, it came on time and the packaging was protective from any damage that could've happen.
Improvements?
A very minor thing I would say would be nice to have is a second additional main pocket. Not a big deal.
Overall I give this a 5/5 for the product and 5/5 for customer service.
I highly recommend this backpack to anyone!
The material seems better and thicker than my original Tomtoc backpack that I basically lived out of throughout college. The YKK zippers are a little stiff, but I expect those to loosen up with time as all YKK zippers do.
The security pocket is back!! I am legit excited about this.............
I love the lined electronics/valuables pouch, I keep my phone in there so it's not sloshing around in the catch-all pocket down below.
They got rid of that "gimmicky" headphone loop, all that did was weigh down the top of the backpack and make it look weird.
I don't know if I'll ever use the pass-thru for the charging feature, but it's nice to have just in case. I use the pocket on the inside for my water bottle, it's better than having it look like a tumor off the outside of the backpack.
The shove-it pocket is just that, a big pocket for you to throw stuff in, it's pretty big too.
Storage is pretty impressive. Right now I carry the following with room to spare: 13.3-in Macbook Pro, Full-size journal about the size of my laptop, Fire HD10 tablet, Nalgene bottle and two pouches for all of the electronic accessories (charger, power brick, cables, mouse etc.)
I fully expect to daily this backpack for the foreseeable future with no issues.
I'm a college student and I searched for a backpack on amazon for a long time. This backpack is like a perky boob. A lot of the times backpacks sag and have no shape and that puts stress on your back. This is perfect, it puts little stress on my back which I love. I usually carry 2 notebooks, a planner, and my MacBook and water bottle. But sometimes I put in a large textbook(can fit 2 or 3) and my sweater, which all still fits. I'm sure if I needed to I could fit more. If you're having problems with zipping it push the material behind the lip first, then zip. I love it sooo much. Perfect size and super light, good built and good material, enough pockets for earbuds and such. I got the pink color and Its great. Most times before I've had backpacks that are too big and cumbersome. This medium-small size helps with organization and I want to take this everywhere with me.
This back pack is amazing! The pink color looks exactly as it does in person which is a huge plus. The straps are padded and not too wide (I have narrow shoulders and straps tend to be too wide). However it IS smaller than a typical back pack. I love that its smaller because I'm a smaller person (yay small people!) so its not big and bulky. I use my back pack for every day use (wallet, journal, keys, lotion, headphones, phone.. basically my purse) and it's perfect. I don't know if i'd put multiple text books in this because it is smaller, but the quality is amazing and I know its going to last. I recommend!
My son's school uses a balanced calendar. In an effort to keep him organized, we decided that he would need two backpacks (in different colors) so that he wouldn't have to worry about changing bags the night before. He could just grab and go. He was also a little picky in that he wanted it to be fashionable (all black) and able to hold his school laptop, books, pens/pencils and calculator. I ordered this one and he loves it. It is well made and appears to be durable. So far, he has not had any issues. He's been able to wake up, grab and go. I'd recommend it.

The backpack itself is decent. Feels to be made of a solid material and has a good amount of space while remaining slim. However, beware that there may be some quality control issues. My headphone holder strap in my backpack was defective. It is supposed to secure with velcro but mine came with the same style of velcro on both sides (both loops, didn't get a hook side) so the holder is impossible to velcro together. It wasn't enough to warrant a return so I had to go to the local store and buy a new velcro strip and sew it on to make the headphone holder work. Not a huge deal but still slightly frustrating.
I use this as a work bag and it's perfect! Holds my laptop, a binder, a few folders, and my planner perfectly! I will say that if I was planning to use it for school, it probably would have been a little small. The water bottle pockets seem to be made for plastic bottles, not reusable bottles, so they are a little small, but I actually use them for my phone and it fits perfectly!
I know I saw one review when I was looking into purchasing this bag about a hidden security pocket they used to have on an old model. There is a small pocket inside on one of the sides that would be perfect to stash some cash in.
One of the only fairy book bags I could find for my almost seven year old that wasn’t tinker bell Disney oriented. The fairies looked like alien fairies to me but she wasn’t bothered by that so I didn’t mention it ha! It seems durable thus far and she put books and binders in it without any issue. It’s not huge, probably wouldn’t work for lots of book carrying like high school or jr high. I can see it working well for carry on too.
This is a beautiful backpack and my daughter loves the color, but it wasn’t big enough to hold 2 textbooks, a 2” binder and a pencil box at the same time. On the plus side it has 2 side water bottle pockets. If this had been bigger it would’ve been perfect. But while this might be good for holding snacks for a hike, unfortunately it didn’t work for us for middle school.
Backpack is very pretty and comfortable. However, my Mac with a separately purchased tomtoc sleeve (same color and material) does not fit in the laptop slot of this backpack. It has to be shoved aggressively to fit at all. But it fits so that’s good enough.
