LOVED this tent! super light weight and easily packs back up. I used it on a backpacking trip in Colorado above treeline (12,000ft) and it not only survived, but kept me perfectly dry during a 3 hour hail storm. I knocked a star off because the zipper on my fly bent a little bit causing it to either be really hard to zip or to unzip behind itself if you weren't careful. However I contacted the seller and they are sending me a new fly for free. Great customer service
Totally impressed with the workmanship. Slightly heavier and much more durable fabric. Seems all well sealed and sewn. Pitches fast and tight. Works great without the inside netting for bug free seasons. Very nice groundcloth included. Others charge $50 plus just for that. I live in SC and I know you all have to have heard about the constant torrential downpour we had here. Well, one day when there was a lull I pitched this tent and left it out in the Hurricane Juaquin storm and it did not leak at all. It took the wind well and stood strong. An equivalent ultralight may save you a few ounces but not be nearly as rugged and cost 3-4 times as much. You owe it to yourself to check this guy out. Also with Amazon's no hassle return policy you've got nothing to lose. I am a seasoned hiker and have hiked in all kinds of weather and terrain.
Better than expected. Extremely light weight. Simple to set up. Included ground cloth is a nice perk. Quality was higher than I expected for this price point. Quality stakes included. First trip with it was used 2 rainy nights backpacking. Tent stayed completely dry. Highly impressed. Recommend to anyone looking for a decent inexpensive tent. I can't comment on longevity yet, clearly it's not expedition quality, but for an occasional backpacker like myself it should hold up just fine.
Tent was easy to set up. Aluminum tent poles are very durable. We fit the two of us and our husky, it was cozy but we stayed warm and dry. The rain fly works amazing, we tested it out on our first hike, it rained very hard, and we stayed dry. I would highly recommend.
Excellent tent. Light, compact, easy to set up and take down. We didn't really have a chance to stress test it in heavy rain and wind, but it was waterproof in the light showers we experienced.

Description
I LOVE this little sleeping bag! It's wonderful for nights in the 60's (JUST AS DESCRIBED) AND those cold winter nights when you just can't get warm under the bed covers, I use it. It warms up nice and quick. It allows me to quickly fall asleep instead of tossing and turning due to cold feet, and the regular winter bed covers getting warm enough to get comfortable. After being sound asleep for about 3 hours later, if I get too warm, can toss it aside, and enjoy the rest of the night getting perfect sleep. It compacts into next to nothing. I love it for the plane too. Hardly takes up any room, but keeps me nice and cozy on those long, cold flights, and I don't have to worry if the airline will provide one or whether the one the airline does provide is clean or not.
I've read the negative reviews, and don't get it. It's not cheaply made, as I've used mine A LOT and have now owned it for three years! Does it make a bit noise? Sure. So do wind breakers. So do most super light weight outer wear. The noise is not loud or annoying. This is an exceptional value, but don't expect it to outperform the TEMPERATURE RATING: Comfort 20℃(=68℉) Limit 15℃(=59℉) or the UNFOLDED SIZE: 190cm x 75cm (75 in x 29 1/2 in). Fit HEIGHT up to 5ft 9in (175cm) Without Head Covered.
This bag also unzips to be a nice blanket for lazing on the couch whether at home or traveling.
This tent is excellent - although I had to wrestle between a 4 and 5 star rating. In the end I went with 5 because... it's just so lightweight for the price it's tough to complain.
First of all, it weighs 4.7 pounds with EVERYTHING including all stakes, the stuff sacks, and the footprint. You probably could, at max, save maybe 2 or 3 ounces by swapping out the stakes, but that's it. To go lighter than this for a 2p tent you would need trekking poles. Other lightweight tents in this price range will advertise a lower weight than this but it's misleading because they will advertise something under 4 pounds but that's as an UL setup without the inner fly. If you removed the inner fly from this tent it would probably weigh closer to 3 pounds - however if you wanted to be that minimalist you should just learn to pitch a tarp shelter.
The tent is very sturdy and very waterproof. I don't think I'd go so far as to call this a 4 season tent, as it does not really keep warm on the inside, but it does stay very dry. It's also incredibly easy to set up - maybe 5 minutes - 10 minutes max if you are new to pitching tents.
Really cool feature is the way the fly, inner fly, and footprint fit into each other. There are clips on the 4 corners - male on the outer fly and female on the inner fly and footprint so you can clip the outer fly to either depending on whether or not you're using the inner fly. The tent poles fit through and connect to both the footprint and the inner fly at the same time.
My only complaint about the tent is there aren't enough pockets on the inside of the tent. There is one small pocket up above the flap - but no side pockets or hanging shelf in the middle. There is a hook to hang a tent light or something - that's about it. Like I said though - hard to complain given the simplicity and light weight of the tent.
Very good quality. The frame is made of aluminum instead of fiberglass like the cheaper ones. Also I set it up by myself in 5 mins so it is pretty easy. Light weight and fit in a small bag. Overall very good gent
I bought this tent before going camping through the Great Lakes (Michigan and Ontario, to be precise) in late April/early Man, which meant either cold nights in the low 30s, gale force winds, or incessant rain.
I'm happy to report that the tent held up in all of those conditions. Never did it leak, even when the rain pelted it all night long. And the frame held up to two nights of insanely strong winds--I was certain it would at least bend or there would be stakes missing. It did a good job of keeping the wind out, as well--it did get quite cold, but with a good sleeping bag, I had no problems.
I would also like to add that sleeping 2 people in this tent would be super difficult--it's small inside. I used it with an air mattress for one person, and it was a bit cramped. So I would say going one size larger than the amount of people you want in it would be a good idea.
The design was also very light weight, and quick to assemble and disassemble. It's really easy to dry out as well, by simply removing the rain fly. The only two minor problems I had were that the instructions weren't very clear on which ties went where on the tent, and that you'll need an additional bag for carrying all the pieces together--there are 4 separate bags, and they don't fit into one single unit, so you have to be a little mindful when packing it up.
I cannot comment on the longevity of this product. We kept it in the car for emergencies. It was relatively small and didn't take up an enormous amount of space. My wife actually used it for the first and only time just last week. She saw a pedestrian get hit by a plow truck during a winter rainstorm here in Maine that soon became ice. She grabbed her Mylar blanket and this sleeping bag and covered the pedestrian until EMS arrived who pronounced him dead on the scene. It came in handy during an emergency and did exactly what it was supposed to do--keep you relatively dry and warm. I do believe the police have it or discarded it since it became part of a crime scene.
