I dont usually write reviews, however this product deserves one. I have a page long medical sheet of bone, joint and pain disorders. That being said, I've always had to have several (5+) cat boxes because of how difficult it is for my body to keep up with.
Since getting this box, I've thrown away those old boxes. Yes, because I have 3 cats i have to "clean" this box a few times (5+) a day. You might think that more of a chore, but with a little activated carbon as one person suggested, and the use of a cat genie (or similar device) and dr elseys ultra litter, my house has never been as free of litter box odors.
Oh I almost forgot, the cleaning part.
It takes the better part of 15 to 20 seconds, and doesnt hurt my back or shoulders at all!
So anyone suffering pain disorders and loves their kitties, this is worth double the price. Just make sure to use dr elseys litter, and if you dont fancy several trips to the garbage can, a cat genie.
Very convenient as far as getting the waste out, but when doing a full litter change it's a little annoying. Overall, it's much better than scooping from a regular litter box. I don't regret the purchase.
The thing is massive as well, just a heads up. It takes up way more space than I anticipated.
This is simply the best litter box out there. It just works as described. Roll it over, then back, pull out the drawer and dump into the trash. It couldn't be any easier and cleaner. Plus, it looks as sharp for a litter box.
I have two cats and I love this litter box. One of my cats has kidney problems and his urine clumps are huge, so I scoop.. a lot. To handle any sticky urine clumps I gently hit the bottom of the box once it is turned over. Since the box has a cover refilling can be a challenge. I remove the waste collection scoop and fill it with clean litter and dump it in. This method makes topping off the box easier.
It is a very good litter box. The construction was easy and it works exactly as described, and cleaning the litter box is fast and easy. I've only used one other litter box (open tray) once before switching over to this, and from the comparisons I can make, there is much less litter dust flying around when using the Omepa Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box. Although it is kind of expensive for a box that holds poop (although not as expensive as some of the other self-cleaning ones), it does make cleaning the litter box a much less annoying process and I totally recommend it.
I only have small criticisms with the design:
- the lip designed to help catch litter doesn't work for me because when I tip the box over to remove poops, the litter pieces fall to the floor. I found it easier to remove it and use a litter mat to catch the litter on the cat's feet instead
- the material is easily scratched, after a week of using it, the bottom of the litter box is all scratched up from me moving it a little bit here and there while cleaning it. it's not like anyone looks at the bottom of the litter box so it's not a big deal, but for people who like things looking new for a long time might want to not push it around or keep a mat under it or something

Description
Elite roll 'n clean self cleaning litter box. New and improved with chrome accents and bonus litter step to catch litter as the cat exits.
After all these years and all the cat boxes I've used I have finaly found the best one, this cat box does exactly what it said it does, Just roll and roll back...that's it...I would buy this again and again.
If you can get it at the $50 price point, you'll love this. The other models tended to have some leakage from the seam on the tip-over, but this seems good so far. The scoop is HUGE, which also combats the biggest problem with these units - how to refill them. Answer: pour the litter in the scoop instead of directly into the hole.
I bought one medium sized model, and liked it so much, that I picked up three of the Elite's, and the cleaning ritual is SO much faster.
I already own one of the older versions. I love the way it works and the concept. except the older one leaked where the top and the bottom come together. was always a little messy. but still better than older style boxes. this one seems alot better as far as the fasteners go. Since I know my cats already like their BOX this should be an easy adjustment for them. I am hopeful this ELITE version will be less mess when I roll. Still testing that.
as far as the CHROME latches. Really? the chrome is already off 3 of the latches. It is not ELITE in that regard and I wouldn't purchase it because of that.
I love this litter box! No more scooping! Roll it over, bang on the bottom roll it back then pull out the drawer empty and that’s it!
We had the prior version of the Omega before and loved it. This one is much bigger. In fact, it's a bit unwieldy for me to handle, though I'm glad our cats have more room as they always seemed a bit crowded in the size down. The new clasps are a tad tricky to get on, but are much securer than the stupid sliders on the previous model. The filter screen is still a bit flimsy, however, and I expect it will wear out and break after a couple years just like our last one did. The anti-tracking tray is a really great addition. It reduces tracking a lot, and cleans itself out every time you roll the box via its clever spiral design.
A few tips:
1. Make sure you don't over-rotate and just pour all the litter into the tray. You kind of have to look in the entry hole as you're rolling it and watch for the point when the litter is over the filter, then shuffle the box back and forth like you're panning for gold.
2. After you've done that, turn it further over and bang on the bottom and sides to make sure any stuck-on wet clumps fall into the tray.
3. Should be obvious, but for some reason my boyfriend didn't figure this out on his own - after you've removed the tray and dumped it, roll the box back the other way to get all the litter back to the open side of the filter. This again may entail some gold-panning-style shaking to get it all through.
