I have used the press several times now and have been impressed each time. Nothing beats a fresh glass of OJ. One of my favorite things about this is the clean up. I had juicers in the past amd the cleanup was painful. This is a simple design and requires very little time to clean up.
Pro: very easy to use, great yield, super easy cleanup.
Con: a bit tippy, requires hand placed on back of press.
Very sturdy, well built! Has no oily or metal smell. Manual lever works smooth. Slightly hold back of juicer as you're pressing and it's very stable.
Costs more to squeeze your own OJ, but tastes better and I know it's 100% natural. Very quick and easy clean up and only takes few minutes to squeeze a glass full. About 2 oz of juice per navel orange. Tried several types of oranges and navel oranges seems to be the best because low in pulp, no seeds, and lots of juice. Oranges, like Valencia, has seeds and lots of pulp, so they are messier to clean up and need to filter what you drink.
I've used for limes, lemons, and pomegranates. Even does apples and pineapple if you cut into small pieces.
We used a similar looking one at a vacation rental house and loved it. Found this one on amazon and, based on reviews, purchased it and are beyond thrilled. It's easy to use with a perfect length handle for leverage. It's smooth and doesn't overspray juice. Easy to clean. The handle grip is comfortable, and it stands straight up between presses (if you so choose) which is a bonus that the rental house version didn't. The rubber grips keep the press snug on the counter during the force of use which is also a user upgrade. The only way we could envision it improving would be to figure out how to put a taller cup below without compromising the balance. But a measuring cup placed underneath and poured into a tall cup is fine. And a solo cup fits perfectly for Orange Crushes. Which is all that matters anyway!
Just squeezed 52 Pomegranets from our 3 bushes.
yield with this unit was 1 gallon + 1 pint.
the biggest fruit require a bit of muscle power, the smaller ones are pretty "eazy squeezy".
the first 1/2 gallon is the learning curve, then irts just repetition.
so, whats there to learn??
finding a container to catch the juice without staining everything is a good start
how much pressure to use is second
too much pressure, you get too much pulp sediment; but it settles out overnight to crystal clear red juice.
its easy to use too much pressure to start; but not necessary.
total time to squeeze over a gallon of pomegranet juice ?? 2 hours if your in no hurry, like me.
that includes cleanup time too.
PROS:
great well made machine, should last your lifetime
CONS:
1. finding the right size juice container to catch the juice between the mount legs
2. if i was going to use this everyday, it needs to be bolted to your counter - its top heavy being made of steel, so it rocks a bit
Bottom Line:
electric juicers with plastic gears dont last - been there, wont do it again
this will last your grand children until they are too old to use it !!
is there better ... i havent seen it
its your money, buy plastic & send it to the landfill OR buy one of these & someday it just might be in a museum long after your gone, marked "from the collection of [your name goes here]".
I love this product. Well built, heavy duty. Put your hand slightly on the back when you pull down. You get everything out of your fruit. I have done oranges, red grapefruit, limes and lemons. All easy and plenty of juice. Easy to clean and fits nicely on the counter or under.

WHAT a difference! AND it arrived earlier than expected! Squeezing lime until now was inconvenient, tedious and time-consuming and as I found out, wasteful too! I had just finished squeezing some lime (I work hard at it but they're small and my wrists get sore) right before the citrus press arrived so I opened the box (not over-packaged or under-packaged) removed the press, washed the three parts necessary and pressed the rest of the lime. Then I took the before-the-press-arrived hand-squeezed lime to the press as well and was surprised by how much juice was still in it!
My husband and I actually giggled while using it as it's so much easier and efficient! It's very sturdy and wow, the leverage really does make this soooooo much easier!
We did have to hold the back of the base while we pressed yet a bigger base would take up more space on the countertop and truly, its just not an issue for us. The convenience ratio is just that great!
I'm su-u-u-u-per happy with it!
Heavy duty. Works well, requires upper body (arms, shoulders, back) strength, but not hand strength. I have severe hand arthritis and this is the first juicer that I find easy to use for juicing many lemons or limes for lemonade. Black feet that leave black marks on surface underneath
After about three weeks of hard use I would highly recommend this product! Easy to use and easy to clean. This is no toy, it's very sturdy and seems to be well built. I can cut and squeeze four oranges in about six minutes first thing in the morning for fresh juice. That includes time for cleaning which is extremely easy. Unless you plan on bolting it down to something all you need to do in simply hold the back of the unit while lowering handle to keep it from tipping, no biggie!
I received the product today. It came damaged. Contacted Amazon customer service. Both agents worked diligently to resolve this issue. I decided to try the product as it being defective. Other than slight physical damage, the product worked extremely well. I am very pleased with this product. With the exception that the straining basket will not come apart due to the damage so cleaning is going to be a little difficult. That is not going to be an issue for me. I am very please with how Amazon has worked out a reasonable settlement in regard to the damage property. Therefore I give the five star review.
Delivery was timely, and the Citrus Juicer arrived in excellent condition. I made the easiest pitcher of Lemonade I’ve ever made within minutes of receiving the product, squeezing nine lemons in about a quarter of the time it would otherwise have taken. Obviously, I haven’t had the product long enough to comment definitively on product quality and/or durability, but I can say that it looks like the juicer has a solid cast iron and stainless-steel construction that seems very sturdy. I cannot foresee having any issues with this product any time in the future.
If there are any negatives about the juicer they are:
1. The juicer has a tendency to want to tip forward as I depress the compression handle. In order to get a good squeeze, I simple hold down the rear of the juicer, and press on. An improvement to this product would be to extend the juicer’s legs forward to the point of shifting the center of gravity back on the juicer’s base to counteract the tipping force.
2. I wish that the business end of the juicer sat a little bit higher, and that the base was a bit wider so that I could set a 4-cup measuring cup under the juicer to catch the juice as I make it. I was able to set a 1-cup measuring cup beneath the juicer, but I found myself having to stop juicing a couple of times, long enough to transfer the juice to a larger container.
Great Product so far!
