This is my very first brand new circular saw! My prior saw was an old hand-me-down from my dad which was really heavy and would constantly slow down while cutting wood, sometimes to the point of stopping completely. The relentless frustration combined with the knowledge that I still had to make a bunch of repairs to my shed (including cutting out a 2x8 section of roof) was the motivation I needed to pull the trigger and get a new one. And by Grabthar's hammer, what a difference! I always dreaded having to haul out that sucker but this beast is much lighter and cuts through wood like a hot knife through butter. Is this how circular saws are supposed to work?! Had I known I would have gotten a new one much sooner.
It comes with a shiny blade that was easy to install using the included Allen wrench. Adjusting the needed depth was also a breeze, just flip a little lever to loosen the metal plate, put at the desired height, and flip the lever back. I was even able to adjust the height precisely to just under 1 inch so I could cut out the plywood roof without cutting into the 2x4 supports. And when I needed to cut an angle in a piece of wood for the shed door I was able to do that as well by loosening the thumb screw, tilting the metal plate to the angle I needed, and tightening the screw back up. No external screwdriver or Allen wrench required!
I cut through a pressure-treated 4x4, a pressure-treated 2x4, 8ft Douglas fir plywood, some random 2x4s, and cut an angle along an 8ft 1x3" whitewood furring strip all with no problems whatsoever. Even cutting notches in the 4x4 fence post while it was standing vertically was easy because of how lightweight this is. I don't see any downside to this thing except that it doesn't have a laser guide. I didn't even know that was an option until I went back to the product page and saw there was a 1500W version that had this feature. I think that would have been really cool but I don't know if it'd be worth paying $16 more for it. I'm not a professional handyman by any means but I'm really happy I got this saw.

I like the look and feel of the saw a lot. It has a good weight to it and nice style. However, upon first using the saw today, I realized the laser sight was off and is actually not flush with the hole. This makes it not align properly with the hole so the lazer was not guiding me accurately. In addition, where you are supposed to tighten the bottom so the base is either at an angle or level, the very bottom position is not level, it is actually starting to tilt the other direction a few degrees. This is frustrating as I would just like to know when I have the saw set on the 0 degrees line that it actually sits level. It’s too much effort for me to return it and I made it work tonight, however I would not recommend this product unless you double check yours on arrival to make sure everything looks good before deciding whether to keep it.
Update: I should have reached out to customer service first. They reached out to me immediately after seeing my review and asked if I wanted a new one or if I wanted a refund. I accepted the refund as the saw still works and I don’t really need a second one. I was very impressed by the customer service and also their willingness to take feedback and hopefully improve upon their design. I actually received my TECCPO Reciprocating saw yesterday so I am excited to try that out soon too. I revise my review and say that I think you should give this brand a shot as they are one of the most affordable I found with the best reviews
The motor they use is smooth, and powerful.
--lighter weight. If you cut a lot, it becomes very noticeable. It has plenty of power for ordinary uses like easily cutting 2x4s, 1.5" planks, plywood, etc. The maximum cut depth is just under 2-1/2 inches. The blade guard retracts smoothly. The sawdust blower keeps a clean cut line.
--The laser line guide: is handy for more easily insuring the cut is on line
--Dust Blower: Is a surprising feature on this saw for the price and works well to keep your cut line and laser line visible while working
--The safety button that you have to push to pull the start trigger is easy enough to use with one hand.

First let me say trash the blades unless you are just cutting 2x4s etc. Get a quality blade if you are going to be cutting expensive cabinet grade ply. The saw itself works fine. I don't understand what folks were saying about the laser. My saw has the laser definitely as part of the unit and it does not look like an add-on. It functions through the saw power and does not have any battery that I can find. It is also pretty accurate but I always would use a saw guide anyway. Overall for home use this fits the bill fine.
This was my first purchase of a circular saw, so I didn't have much to compare it, but I found it worked well and met my needs. I don't want to buy a rope tool, but for limited home use I need it because it works very well. It seems to have enough power and adjustability to meet my needs. My dad likes it very much. We will continue to use it. We will have more experience to share later.

I remember as a kid helping my dad with cutting things for projects and his saw was always so heavy!!!! This saw is super light weight and easy to use. I have always been a little afraid of power tools, especially saws but this one has changed my view on that and I’ve gotten over my fears.
It’s a great saw for the price. It does what it’s meant to do. It was a gift for my husband who has recently gotten into woodworking. He loves it. It’s a great saw for beginners.
This model is available with a laser, and come with 2 high quality blades, glad I purchased this one. The laser makes cutting a lot easier. The amperage/power wasn't the best out of all available, but more than enough for me. Again, laser, very helpful especially in making long cuts.
At first, I had purchased some blades at the same time I ordered the saw. After receiving the blade's first, then the saw, I discovered that the saw is only designed with a 3/8 arbor, rendering the blades with a 5/8 or 7/8 arbor useless. After some digging for the adapter, it was apparent that there is none on the market. So, I took to my lathe and turned out my own adapter set. I put the saw to use with a diamond blade, and proceeded to cut granite with it. The saw held up fine, under good load from cutting the stone, without seeming to have any problems maintaining blade speed. It also does a good job on 2x4. With the adapter, it opens the possibility to a wider range of blades.
This saw is awesome! I ordered it to complete a project that I’m making for hubby! ( An oil rig made out of wood). It easily cut through the pallet wood! I’ll update pictures once I’ve finished it! I found it incredibly easy to use and precise! I love it!
