I have never written a review for an item I didn't use yet. It seems weird, but I just received the backpack today. I have not used it, but I plan to soon. I debated whether to wait or not, but I thought from the moment I got it, that this would be a keeper. I sent 2 backpacks back before finding this one, and I'm so glad I did. It's the nicest looking backpack I've ever seen, and the quality is exceptional. If you are looking for a backpack here, it's difficult to find the right one because we can't see the product first. Going over the questions, I can say that no, you cannot fit a cell phone in the strap pocket, it's much too small. Yes, it has a chest strap, and yes it's built up high on the chest instead of the waist which you might expect. Yes, it has (2) pickets on each side that hold nets, and I doubt if you can put a tall water bottle in the netting; a smaller one maybe. Yes, the handle is short, but it is supported by a cable; it does have an extra strap for hanging on a closet hook. No, it does not have a strap for placing it on luggage. This thing has a ton of pockets, and (2) large main compartments; one for clothing and one for a laptop or more clothing. How big of a laptop this can hold I can't validate, but it's a large compartment. The fabric is of exceptional quality, as is the gorgeous black color. The zippers themselves scream sturdy quality, with the Yeso "Y" built into the zippers and the YESO metal logo on the front of the pack is classy itself. Yes, the shoulder straps are padded, and the backing is made of an ergonomic hard cloth material that feels good on the back. I cannot wait to take this pack on a trip with me, just to show it off it's that beautiful. You can look at the other brands, and pay a lot more money for the name, etc ..... but in my opinion, for the money, this pack cannot be beat for the quality. This is easily the best backpack I've ever owned, and it will probably be the last. If anything arises in the future, I'll update the review, but I cannot see myself ever wanting to own another pack after this one. Sheer beauty and quality.
Great backpack. It has lots of compartments and is very well built. It is well worth the price.
The material is water RESISTANT, not water PROOF, it will handle a light rain or drizzle, but not a monsoon.
I added a picture next to another favorite, the Wenger Synergy. This back pack is bigger than the Synergy and is a good contender.
This is a great backpack for packing and hauling lots of stuff.
I’m a teacher and constantly schlepping papers, projects, books, binders, etc to and fro. This has been a great backpack so far (I’ve used it for about 3 months).
I’m broad-shouldered, I’ve noticed that either the shoulder strap or the chest strap need to be used in order to avoid the straps from sliding off shoulders.
I usually just tighten the shoulder straps as the chest strap smooshes my girls a bit too much to be appropriate.
This is also a good tactical backpack for sports/activities. Lots of pockets (with sturdy zippers—a must) and compartments.

WoW! I work offshore and have difficulties relying on backpacks to protect my computer and other electronics... problem solved! Although, Ive had limited time with this pack Ive concluded that spending 40+/- on a worthy pack is achievable! The chest strap is my only complaint(hardly at all) it seems a little high but, concidering the other most common(swiss, samsonite..) brands dont even offer that comfort, I can look past. Highly recommend this product for not only prompt delivery but sheer effectiveness and wallet friendliness! Click the button! You will NOT be dissatisfied.
When I first received this book-bag I immediately noticed it was a bit smaller than expected but it doesn't really concern me. There are numerous compartments for easy storage, and it can easily hold my books, laptop and some workout clothes. It is very comfortable for me when I venture out and walk around the city. The separate compartment fits my 15" MSI laptop which provides an extra sense of security for me. So far this book bag is still going strong!! I haven't really tested it's water durability, but I am more than sure that this will live up to it's high expectations.

The chest strap is smaller then I expected. It fits fine, it's the chest just the strap itself is not as wide as the other straps are.
The shoulder straps are wider than I expected.
It's as comfortable as you would expect from any backpack. The side net pockets will hold a 12oz can drink securely but not anything much bigger.
I have found the side pockets extremely useful and more space in them then you would think.
The metal cable that goes through the top handle. Is smaller then expected but still I think it does its job.
The laptop compartment is a bit of a joke. I say this because my last backpack had a fully enclosed slide in pocket for the laptop within the laptop area. This one has only a strap within the laptop area but does have one cushion side toward where your back would be.
The middle zipper on the back outside of the backpack, merely leads to a small pocket. When it could have led into the next pocket, where the first top zipper is.
Overall so far thing there's a pretty decent backpack for the price. If I didn't mention something, it's because I'm satisfied with it. Feel free to ask questions about it. I'll try to answer promptly.
To be fair, I bought this as a lightning deal at around $35. It easily compares to backpacks costing almost double. I've only had it for about a month but it seems well constructed and able to carry my laptop, pens, etc. As others have noted, the mesh pockets on the side could be a bit deeper. One other feature that wold improve this bag would be a couple more small pockets, It does have ample storage for notebooks, files, etc. in addition to the laptop compartment. It also has a smaller compartment for items like pens, pencils, miscellaneous cables, etc. It has another small compartment at the front to allow easy access to commonly used items. The two zippered side pockets are great for cables as well. I keep a spare ethernet cable, USB charging cord, laptop power supply and wireless mouse in the two side pockets. Have not been in the rain so I can't comment on that. For the price that I paid, it is a great backpack.
The bag is as described. I purchased this backpack for my daughter who is entering the 10th grade in September. It is large enough to hold multiple binders and notebooks with room for textbooks.
I got this because I was going back to law school to study tax law. I knew that I would have to carry large, heavy textbooks on my daily commute, along with a laptop and water bottle. I wanted the biggest backpack possible, high quality, and not a high cost.
I got exactly what I was looking for with this backpack. I was initially looking to other backpacks that seemed like they might have been bigger, but this one turned out to big enough and the reviews were all very high. It can hold several large textbooks plus my laptop and charger at once. The design of this backpack was well thought out, and despite often carrying 40+ lbs of books and things (my guess, but I lift weights and that's what it feels like) for almost a whole school year, it isn't coming apart.
My only complaint, if I were to have one, is that I'd have liked it if the side mesh water bottle holders could have been a little higher. I quickly discovered that if I ran while wearing this and having a water bottle in them, the bouncing would make the water bottle fall out. I think if the water bottle holders were longer and higher they could hold more of the water bottle in and it would be possible to run without the bottle falling out. I've also noticed a similar problem when bending down at an angle to pick something up- my water bottle will fall out if I don't hold it in place or crouch down vertically so the backpack doesn't turn to an angle. A longer, higher mesh would probably allow the backpack to hold water bottles even when it is horizontal.
Aside from that complaint... I'm very, very happy I bought this backpack.
Ive had this backpack for 7 months now and there has always been about 15lbs of equipment in it. Havent had a single problem with any of the functions on it. Durable, very roomy!, and it is light rain proof. Havent tested it in heavy rain yet.
