I ordered 2 other 13" sleeves before ordering this. They were all much too large, so I thought I would try this 12" sleeve because the internal dimensions matched the new 13" Macbook Pro. This sleeve fits the 13" 2016 Macbook Pro like a glove. It couldn't be a better fit! I highly recommend!
I originally purchased the 15-15.6 inch size for my MacBook Pro 15'' Retina, and found the sleeve much too large, so I returned it . At the time of my purchase, the product title included the phrase "for MacBook Pro" so I felt that the description was misleading. I posted a review stating such and customer care immediately contacted me to remedy the situation. They recommended an alternate case for my needs (the Tomtoc 360º) and it's fantastic by the way. The seller has since altered this product's title to, much to their credit, to reflect that the large size not for the MacBook Pro Of course, it's always a good idea to verify the dimensions yourself (something I should have done) before purchasing a computer sleeve like this, so I bear some responsibility. Still, if you're lazy like me, you rely on product descriptions when making purchases. It's so nice to see such responsive customer service. Although this sleeve wasn't right for me, it's good quality for the price and I can easily recommend it. Better yet, you can rest satisfied that Tomtoc's excellent customer service will be there for you, should you ever need it.
For the Tomtoc Laptop Sleeve for 13 Inch New MacBook Pro 2017 & 2016
Overview: This is the second product I've purchased from Tomtoc and it's one of the best laptop accessories and I've used in a while. The case is light, very well designed, and offers good protection against scratches and minor spills. There are several well thought out and executed design elements that make this case stand out from other competitors. First, for the 2016 & 17 MBP 13', this sleeve fits very well; the fit is snug, but the zipper is still easy to operate. Second, when the zipper opens, the lips of the sleeve are designed to open outward. This is important because it pushes the metal teeth of the zipper away from the laptop reducing the likelihood that the laptop will be scratched when removing or inserting the device. Finally, inside the sleeve is a cover flap just under the zipper. Once inserted into the sleeve, this cover slips over the top of the laptop and protects it from corner or top scratches when pulling the zipper open or shut. Overall, one gets the impression that this product has been well thought out and gone through revisions.
The sleeve also has a soft touch interior lining which will help prevent scratches. The sleeve also protects well against minor accidental spills. This would protect your laptop if a drink spilled on the table and you picked up the sleeve and removed the laptop. It would not protect your laptop if a water bottle leaked all over your bag and you did not realize it for an hour.
I've only used this sleeve for a few days so I cannot speak to the long term durability. As with all products that have a zipper, I'm curious to see how this will wear over time. However, nothing in my initial impressions gives an indication that the quality will breakdown quickly.
The HP x2 Chromebook was a relatively new device when I got mine, and there were very few cases available for it. Being the first detachable Chromebook tablet, its form factor is unusual as well. Most laptop sleeves were the wrong shape (too wide in one direction or the other), but this one fits really well.
Just enough width to accommodate the stylus, with enough depth to fit the keyboard and hinge. Note that I got this sleeve to carry my HP x2 Chromebook while docked in the keyboard. If you are looking for something to carry the tablet alone, this will be a loose fit.
This is a minimalist sleeve that will protect your device from scratches and light bumps, but it won't offer much drop protection. It also has no extra pockets, so you won't have anyplace to put chargers or cables. This was exactly what I wanted, but if you want to carry accessories (other than the stylus) it may not be right for you.
The quality and construction of the case appears to be good, but I've only had it for a short while. I'll update this review if my opinion changes over time. The flap that covers the device and protects it from the zipper is a very nice touch. It fits the HP x2 Chromebook almost perfectly. The fit across the width and length is spot on, and it has just enough room to leave the stylus attached. The depth is just a tiny bit loose fitting (the HP x2 is a very thin device), but not enough to be annoying. My HP x2 Chromebook slides into the case with minimal resistance, and the zipper protection flap can easily be stretched over the edge of the device. The zipper then closes smoothly with only a little resistance around the corners.
Like many laptop sleeves, this one came with a foam insert to hold its shape in the packaging, and that insert is normally discarded, but there is just enough room to slip that in on top of the HP for some extra protection, so I'm going to save it to use when I'm travelling and have my Chromebook inside my luggage.
If you are looking for a minimal sleeve for an HP x2 Chromebook (ASIN B07D6FN5RJ) I think you'd be happy with this.
I got this for the Late 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar 13". It fits it reasonably well, with little wasted space. It's a little tight in some places. There is this nice flap inside the case for protecting the laptop from the zipper, and this requires a good amount of force to fit around the MacBook Pro. It's really too tight. That being said, I don't think the zipper will damage the MacBook. I don't regret having purchased this. I just wish it had a slightly better fit.
Bottom Line: This might be the best case on the market for the 13" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. But in a few months when cases are released specifically to fit this machine, I'd recommend getting those cases instead of this Tomtoc product.

I got the new Macbook 13` with touch bar recently and was looking for something to protect and also hide this device. I bought Tomtoc purely based on reviews, since I really did not know the brand. It was a positive surprise to see my Mac fits PERFECTLY in this case. The inside security bag is also a differential, and the material from the inside is actually so cozy and smooth you almost wants your blanket to be made of the same thing. Highly recommended.
Let me start by admitting that I personally own an XPS 13 and use the Dell case for it which is great. I've had that laptop for almost three years. Now, fast forward to today when my employer switched our laptops and provided us with an XPS 13 but no case. In order to protect it, I searched for an inexpensive case. I have been thru a handful and actually returned 3 different cases simply because they were too big and the XPS just floated around inside them.
I kept this case because it fits nicely. A few things to note, all the seams are inside the case so once the XPS is in it then the case takes on a slightly different appearance. You will see some bulging but nonetheless, it serves it's purpose well. Directly under the zipper is a flap that is about an inch deep into the case. Once you insert the case, pull the flap over the laptop and the when the case is zipped up, it looks nice (no bulging). I know, I'm a weirdo like that.
Now, the fact I carry two of the same laptops in my backpack means I only need one charger and accessories which is great, however, this brings up another point to note. This case does not have any pockets, so you can't carry anything with the case unless you squeeze it in with the XPS (probably not a good idea). I mention this because the Dell case has a front pocket and I can carry the charger and all my accessories in it.
So my conclusion, if you're looking for a simple case to fit your laptop, this is a great buy. The XPS measures up at 8" X 12" X 0.875" (at the hinge side) and fits almost perfectly in the case (fits best if you slide the hinge side in first). There is little room if the laptop than those dimensions, but maybe only by .5" in any direction, anything bigger than that probably will NOT fit.
Using this with my 13" MacBook Pro (2016) and loving it! I was looking for a slim sleeve to carry my computer in while in my backpack but didn't want a hard bulky case. This case is perfect for all that and at a reasonable price. The inside is lined with a very soft material and also keeps most of the dust off my computer. The edges have extra padding to protect from accidental drops on the side. The zipper works pretty well, hasn't gotten stuck and can easily zip it up with one hand. Only complain which I know is only temporary but I've had this for about a week and it still smells like rubber, again this is only temporary and once that goes away, no complaints.
I used a very similar case by Incase to carry my MacBook Air. I was planning to get one for my new 2016 MacBook Pro 13" but they don't have any available yet. This case looked very similar and the description said it would fit my new MacBook Pro. The price was very reasonable compared to Incase, so I decided to give it a try. The construction is very similar to Incase, and I like the addition of the interior flap to protect the laptop from the zipper. I took off one star because the fit is not exact. The width is perfect, but the depth is a bit off. The bottom corners of the case are more tapered than the top corners, so the laptop doesn't fit all the way into the sleeve. The zipper still closes easily, but it makes it difficult to use that extra flap to protect the laptop from the zipper.
I bought the 11.6-13" sleeve and it fits the 13" Macbook Pro with Touch Bar perfectly. It sounds petty, but I wish the case had double zippers so it could be opened/closed from either side. It's not a deal breaker and for the price it gets the job done.
I used to have an Incase (don't remember the specific model) for my 2010 Macbook Pro and if I remember correctly, I think the Incase was a little thicker. The inside of the Tomtoc is similar to the Incase by having a fuzzy soft interior to protect the laptop from scratches. There is also an additional security "hook" on the inside bottom where you can slip the laptop in for a more secure hold inside the case. It's a little awkward and makes putting in and removing the laptop slightly more difficult, but you do have the option to not use it.
I can't speak for protection against a drop (and I hope I never can!), but the top and side edges inside the case seem to have reinforced protection specifically for that.
