It can be hard to find accurately described products on Amazon, sometimes, and I've noticed that craft items like cotton rope are particularly unreliable.
This is a soft, natural cotton cord, 6mm (or 1/4") is accurate for the size, and it does seem to be approximately 50m. It's not coated, and there is no polyester core. So it's pretty much exactly what I was looking for, at a good price for such a large length.
I enjoyed working with this rope. I used it for my first macrame project in almost 40 years. I was happy to find it soft and easy on the hands. Knotting was great, and the finished product looked good. The color was a natural unbleached off white. Very good looking.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but have been doing macrame since the 70's so I know good quality cord. This is lovely, soft, and fat, and will make a beautiful plant hanger to compliment my hand-made pots.
This is a quality material. I used it for making baskets and could have not worked better.
