This is a strong metal shelf with a magnet that can hold 3.5-2.5lbs without sliding, I noticed that it can hold 3.5lbs when I put it on the front of my refrigerator and 2.5lbs when I put it on the side of my refrigerator which is where I keep it so I'm assuming the strength of the magnet may depend on how your refrigerator is made. Its about 10" long and comes out about 4.5" from your refrigerator.
This is one of my favorite gadgets. Just unpack it and place it on any metal surface. Mine is on the side of the fridge over my stove-side counter where it is currently holding 10 bottles of spices. Since it is all metal I stuck the magnetic cup hooks I'd previously hung in that spot for potholders onto the underside of the shelf and hung my 2 potholders there. If it's impinging on a cabinet door swing, just slide a bit higher or lower. I have five taller spice bottles against the back of the rack and five of the smaller ones in front so all is visible and I can still open an upper cabinet door right over the smaller bottles. If you have any accessible metal surface I highly recommend this product.

What a great product! I was able to declutter potholders sitting on top of the fridge and neatly stack them on the side of the fridge out of the way. I started out using it for the larger more frequently used spices and found out I would need a larger one to completely declutter. The magnet is strong, and held whatever I attempted to use it for. I just purchased another for a christmas present. If your wondering, the shelf does not have any sharp edges and the construction is solid.
Usually, I am used to put condiments all in container around the stove. When my tiny unit gets more stuff, I need more space. I searched on the internet for a while and found this item. This refrigerator spice rack is amazing! It has plenty of room to hold whatever you need, as you can see, we have decided to use it for daily medicines and vitamins. With an active 10 year old, the fridge door is frequently opened and slammed shut, yet this item hasn't budged once! Love it for my little condo with no extra counter space! Only thing is the bar is a little bit slanted, but it’s fine. I just thought I was ordering the same one I ordered previously, that was probably my fault!
