I was worried since it’s not a lodge pan right one I have. I just need something dedicated for bread baking and Dutch oven are over priced. This will achieve the same result for much much less. I’ve gotten plenty of compliments for my Jalapeños cheddar sourdough and cranberry raisin walnut rolls.
I bought a induction cook top, but none of my stainless steel pans would work on an induction. So I bought this unit to cook on the induction plate, However it has become my most used pans (the cover can be inverted and used as a mid-size frying pan), either on my electric stove or the induction plate. The pans came well-seasoned. I use a steel chain link pad (sold by Amazon) to lean them. The only draw-back is that they are heavy. But that's the nature of cast iron pans. I appreciate the extra loop on the deep pan, which makes it easier to lift.
I ordered due to the health benefits of cooking with cast iron. I love the lid that came with it. The seller has wonderful instructions on how to clean it as it is pre seasoned and should not be removed when cleaning.
HEAVY!! Lol but good quality and it makes my cooking better. Especially when I make pasts. Not like using a plain flat frying pan that makes some falls out of it, this actually keep everything inside. Just...heavy. really heavy😅

Best purchase ever! I’ve used the bottom to do multiple different dishes including fried chicken and a risotto. Cleans up fabulously. The “top” skillet is great for smaller meals, grilled cheese and heating up tortillas.
I bought these with the expectation that they would not be non-stick and not polished. my plan was to polish the inside with a stripper/grinding attachment for an electric drill. They arrived as expected with a very rough finish and poor "seasoning". I smoothed the cooking surface with the drill, about 2.5 hours per pan and then seasoned them with flaxseed oil 4 times (total 20 hours). They are great now. nonstick and great cooking tools. You can buy the polished pans for about $200 but I invested $70 and 20 hours for a great product.
It arrived a day early and I started cooking right away. I love this set because of the LID idea. I always love functionality in the kitchen. I made great rib eye and warmed up potatoes in 5 minnutes (I enjoy blue). It couln't ne better.
Purchased for use as an alternative to a crock pot, a pork shoulder was successfully cooked over multiple hours at a lower temperature today producing a roast just as I desired.
