Nautical Baby Cloth Pocket Diapers 7 Pack, 7 Bamboo Inserts, 1 Wet Bag by Nora's Nursery

After few months using cloth diapers I'm ready to make a review. I bought ALVA pockets, Nora nursery pockets, BumGenius pockets, Flip cover and All in One Ecoable.
I have been using them for 3 months now.
Alva and Nora have the same shape are very very similar the only difference between them is the insert. Alva come with 2 microfiber inserts and Nora one bamboo/ microfiber. In my opinion, I prefer the organic fabrics like bamboo, hemp and cotton because they hold more pee, but they absorb pee slow when compared to microfiber. Microfiber inserts soak pee pretty fast, but you can have issues with compression leaks. The advantage of using pocket is you can use another insert or try different things like prefolds, flats, birdseye or flour sack towels that works best for you and your baby. Now I use inserts that are hemp and bamboo that I sewed myself.
BumGenius pocket and Flip covers they look very similar in shape but one is a pocket and the other is a cover, lol. They are very well make and the BumGenius come with 2 microfiber inserts, one big with snaps that you can regulate the size and one small. The flip cover has a microfiber insert and a top layer of cotton (not sure) that you can fold to adjust to the size of your baby (you can't put microfiber against the baby skin). I heard some complaints about the elastics becoming relaxed in the BumGenius diapers, but I didn't have issues with it. Because I know how to sew I checked the diaper to see if I could replace it myself in case it turns relaxed, and it looks like it's pretty easy to replace. I don't even need a sewing machine to fix it if I need. The advantage of the covers is to be able to use it more than one time, you just have to change the insert if the cover is not dirty. Also, I don't have to spend time stuffing pocket diapers. Also, if you want to go minimalist, covers are the best option. I wish I thought about it before buying all my diapers lol, now I have too many.
All in one Ecoable is pretty and very well made. I don't have to stuff the diaper because the insert is attached to the diaper. Also, it looks like a pocket you can put more inserts if needed. It has a double gusset and it's pretty good to avoid leaks but if you have a chubby baby it might not work. My baby has big thighs and it makes marks on his legs. He is 4 months old now and I can't use it on him anymore :-(. I like the charcoal bamboo pocket because it absorbs pee well and I don't see stains easily.
According my last pic you can see how bulk they are when compared to each other; the Flip cover is the smallest one and BumGenius is the biggest one. I love the way Alva and Nora nursery fits and like the BumGenius and Flip cover fit too. But Alva and Nora are my favorite pocket diapers. Unfortunately, I don't like the fit of the Ecoable but it must be because I have a chubby baby.
I hope this review help you!

I have an 11 week old, 15lb baby boy. We've put him in at least 6 different brands of cloth diaper shells regularly (2 different inserts), and have come to find Nora's Nursery to be the best...

At first they were not my favorite because I wanted to reuse the diaper shell a few times before washing and just change the insert but because these are pocket style that is not an option... However, all the shells we've tried where that was supposedly an option haven't worked out that way anyway... Either there's too much poop to wipe out of the shell or the inside parts that aren't covered by an insert are too wet to put back on baby.

Nora's Nursery seems to be the most comfortable and the most reliable - fewest leaks, especially because it's easy to double insert this diaper. They also really are a great price - I wish I had spent less money on other diaper shells and just stocked up on more of these. (I have 2 sets and may still buy a third.)

I highly recommend

(Tip for nighttime changes: have 4 or more diapers ready with double inserts - 1 in pocket & 1 on top of pocket, all stored folded in same face-up orientation so you can "blindly" and sleepily change diapers quickly and painlessly at night, hopefully before baby has a chance to wake up.)

These diapers have been a success with my new baby! I had never even seen a cloth diaper until I started off with Norah’s. I watched way too many you tube videos on cloth diapering to make sure I chose the proper type for me. Again I didn’t even know there were different types of cloth diapers. It turns out the pocket diapers were the best choice for our family:) I received a couple bum genius all in one diapers and they are a lot harder to clean. I love the cute patterns that Norah’s has and feel that the bamboo inserts are very absorbant. For previous reviews that was the only knock on the diapers. Folks could have experienced leakage due to not doing enough pre-washing. Make sure you follow instructions on pre-wash for diapers. Another thing is if you find pads have stains that won’t go away with your detergent just soak them in the sun on a line and the stains will bleach right out thanks to mamma earth! I have 24 of Norah’s diapers and love them! At night I double stuff with an extra insert as my little boy can pee ALOT:) I highly recommend! Thanks Norahs’s:)

I originally ordered these diapers because I have a thing for nautical prints. I've cloth diapered all my kids, starting in 2007, and we usually choose cloth diapers with a well known reputation (Fuzzi Bunz, Blueberry, etc). That said I LOVE these diapers. The insert really is very aborbant, so far no leaks, they fit my 6 month old VERY well on the middle rise setting. He is EBF which means that his poops can be on the very loose side and we have had no issues. These diapers do so well that they are my go to nap time, or car trip diapers. We've been using them for about two months or so.

Because of his size he still fits into two dozen small diapers that we have, but once he sizes out of this we may wind up ordering some more Nora's Nursery diapers. The micro suede inserts even impressed me, they do much better than the BumGenius micro suede I've used before. With the cost per diaper, plus a wet bag, I didn't expect such great quality, colors, and absorability. I am definitely happy with my diapers.

I'm pretty excited about these reusable diapers, they seem to be great quality and we got 3 sets (21 diapers with 21 inserts) along with an additional 10 bamboo inserts from the same company. We've washed and re-washed to get them ready for baby and to increase absorbency. Everything seems to be holding up fine and we should get to use them next month :) Will update review after we get to put them to use!

Very cute product. I love all the different color/pattern options. They are easy to use and grow with baby with all the snap options. I have tried a couple other cloth diaper brands and I like Nora Nursery the best. I like that the absorbent pad is removable and can either be inserted into the cover or just left on the surface so you can reuse the cover if baby hasn't completely soaked the pad. The pads and covers are easy to wash/dry in the laundry machines. I do rinse the poo off the pad in the utility sink before putting into the washing machine. They are bulkier than a disposable diaper so they don't fit as well under pants and they give baby the appearance of a big butt under pants, but they're babies, so it's still cute. I have had a little problem with the diaper leaking if I let my baby go for too long between diaper changes (like 5-6 hrs), so I do recommend changing baby every 2-3 hrs to avoid leaking. I use the cloth diapers during the day and then use disposable diapers at night time. My baby appears to feel comfortable in them. I'm planning on buying more. Yeah for saving on the cost of disposable diapers and decreasing waste in our planet's land fills.

Exactly the same as Alva Baby, just more expensive. The higher cost per diaper with no different features makes it unwise to choose this brand. I'm not sure why these ones cost so much more, but there is nothing in the manufacturing, design, or functionality to make it worth spending the extra money. But they are nice diapers. They don't leak, they are sized well, they come clean easily and dry quickly. No problems with stains or stink. The wet bag is very small, but his caregiver manages to cram in a full day's worth of dirties so we keep it in rotation.

So far, these diapers are really good...especially for the price! They fit my LO well, though fastening the snaps can be quite challenge when the wiggles set in. I have had 2 of them leak, though it may have been a bad diapering on my part, so I will see if it continues. It's great that these come with the bamboo inserts and a wet bag, overall a very good package deal. If there were other color options (like the out of stock black and white on their website) I would have purchased another set. The follow up email from the company definitely make you feel like getting help in the event of any problems wouldn't be a hassle, which is so refreshing!
I read SO many reviews before making the switch to cloth, and now have a collection of 3 brands that I really like.
A suggestion to the company: they do include a little "instruction" sheet, but more details on snap adjustments by weight, and more thorough washing instructions, ie: preferred/approved detergents, line dry vs machine dry, etc...
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to try cloth diapers, they are a very good value package.
I will update in the future as to whether or not the leaking is a diaper flaw or operator error!

I love the prints, well sewn. Although I do have one problem. Microfiber is not suppose to be against baby's skin. I was hoping the Microfiber was the insert and bamboo was the outer layer that touches my son's skin. Thankfully you can put the insert on top instead of stuffing it in the pocket (these are pocket diapers) and not much of the material touches baby. They do hold my two year old's excretion well.

Diapers are working great! I use a bioliner to catch solids, but I suppose it's not necessary. I'm breastfeeding exclusively so there aren't a lot of solids. :)
I've been using the diapers since my son's birth. He was 8 lbs 11 oz. He is almost a month old. The diapers fit great and my son doesn't have an issue with them.
We wash the diapers (bought 4 sets) and liners every two days using a cold rinse cycle first without soap and then follow it up with a baby wear cycle (hot and cold) with Kirkland brand free and clear detergent. The liners are very absorbent so we dry on medium for twenty minutes, air fluff for 40 minutes, and if still wet we dry a little longer.
I highly recommend these diapers! I really do anticipate using these through the potty training stage.
We had a few leakages, but that's only because we waited too long to change him (longer than 3 hrs) or I forgot to fasten the side clasps.
I love the designs. The only negative might be for some people is that his butt (with diaper material) is huge and smaller 0-3 month clothes are becoming harder to clasp in the crotch area. It doesn't bother us.
