I love rotating cases. I couldn't find any (that I can recall) when I bought my Kindle. Upon receiving this item, my Kindle experience has been so much better. Gone are the days I had to take the time to rotate the screen and all the small annoyances that came with my old (nonrotating) case.
The design is really nice, and the case itself seems sturdy. It is much thicker than I had envisioned it, like others have said, but it doesn't hinder the product in any way. The issue with rotating cases, I have found, is the part of the case near the back rotating piece kind of erodes. This case seems sturdier built than ones I've had in the past, so I'm confident it won't wear down as quickly.
Also, as far as using the case in a portrait display, I found that it is virtually the same as other cases. The Kindle doesn't seem to lean back to far. I found it comfortable to view with no issues, although I can understand how other reviewers didn't like it. It doesn't seem like it will fall easily when used standing up, however, which is better than some products I have used in the past. I typically use my Kindle in a landscape orientation, though.

Beautiful tree design on the case and holds the Fire tablet up wonderfully. At first I had troubles with this case when I was trying to hold it like a book to read but the swivel doesn't make it easy to hold with one hand like a book, but after some use I have found that it's a delight to hold with one hand slipped into the cut out for the swivel. This hold even works while walking on the treadmill.
This is a very nice case. A bit thicker and heavier than previously owned cases, but it stands up better due to the thickness. It's more stable and well made than the less expensive one I bought on eBay last year. The stylus loop is definitely a plus. I would definitely buy this case again over any other. The advantages definitely outweigh the little bit of extra bulk and weight. I only mention it because I am aware of such things and I am sure others are as well. If bulk and weight don't bother you, then it's perfect! Love the design and cover graphics!
This was exactly what I was looking for! I couldn't be happier. I've purchased tablet cases in the past and I knew the features I wanted but didn't know they existed in one place. Now I don't need to settle. Fintie has gained a loyal customer! The rotating view is perfect for streaming streaming videos and reading ebooks whether I'm setting it on on on my lap or on a table. I wasn't sure about the elastic strap thinking it would be a nuisance or not sturdy enough but being able to hold it securely with hand eases my arthritis pain by taking the pressure of the weight off that hand. It can be rotated for either hand as well. The design is gorgeous and exactly my style!

I was a little bit worried when I put my tablet into the case because it didn't really have any resistance so I was worried that it would be loose but it actually fits really well and I do have to put some effort into it to remove the tablet. It fits well in my hands and I love how the stand works. I really love that I can rotate my table inside the case and that the side that touches the screen is made from very soft microfiber cloth. I have no complaints and love this case. The only thing I would say that was a little different is the colouring. I ordered the space one and it's not as bright and vibrant as it looks in the image on here BUT it still looks pretty damn good.
Perfect fit for the Fire HD 8, and it allows me to use the tablet in portrait or landscape with the built in stand. All ports and buttons are accessible and this is decent enough protection for around the house.
I've learned, over time, to do more investigating. As I looked at this case, there is a banner at the top that states, We want you to know: This product is not compatible with the All-New Fire HD 8 (2017 release). Explore compatible products. THIS IS COMPATIBLE and works GREAT! I've left other reviews, and found that they ALL don't get documented. We'll see if this one does. A GREAT Value, for your money. Highly RECOMMENDED!
Looks great, seems well-made (I've only had it a couple of days now), and the rotating stand works as promised. The *only* slightly disappointing feature is that it is thicker than I'd like. LOTS of padding and protection, but I'm a minimalist. It was likely clear in the description and specs, but this basically doubled the thickness of the device.
Still, I think it's going to be GREAT!!
This is a very good, sturdy case that works very well. It is a bit on the bulky side - but I really doubt this can be avoided with this type of case, and I'd rather have a bit of extra bulk in order to make sure it is sturdy. I really like that I can swivel the either horizontal or vertical view, too. Well made, including a sturdy elastic band for holding it closed.
