I have experienced multiple wireless speaker failures; the speakers quit talking to each other and would not sync. I decided to go back to a wired system. I looked at multiple brands, reviews and pricing from multiple vendors before making this purchase. The system was easy to install and I used the "Optical Wire" provided connecting to a Visio Flat screen T.V... The remote works well and cycles through input options easily. I also hooked up a DVD player to the T.V. using the red, blue, green (video) and red & white (sound) cables. The sound quality is remarkably very well and clear, commented by my mother, sitting in front of the T.V., approximately 8 - 10 foot distance. She suffers from hearing loss, requiring hearing aids in both ears. I have tried other true surround speaker systems, including rear speakers. She does not like any sound coming from behind her. These two, rather inexpensive speakers are performing better for her, than much higher priced systems and options. I would make this purchase again. Connected February 7, 2019.
I bought this sound bar and subwoofer for someone who was currently only using the TV speakers in thier living room. Her TV probably spends 75% of the time on one of those channels that play music and she asked me if there was an affordable way to make it sound better. So I started looking for a soundbar with a wireless sub and an optical input and found this BYL soundbar and sub. I installed it last week and we tested it out on several different types of music and had no issues, as well as we also made sure that the voices and the video we're still in sync and everything checked out. She was very surprised at the difference even this smaller 2 foot wide sound bar and small subwoofer made. Everything seemed to function well on it though she will probably only use the optical input from this point on. It had a very clean look to it the cloth was in good shape and it is really such an audio improvement over any standard TV speakers for a very small cost I would recommend this item to someone else. I hope to see it keep preforming well for some time to come!
I bought this, as I have been considering an affordable soundbar for my living room. I was truly surprised when I hooked this bad boy up. The sound output, the bass, and overall quality were awesome. My wife actually came upstairs from the basement and said, wow, I could hear that as clear as day downstairs. The bluetooth works great in concert with my devices, allowing me the ability to listen to Pandora without turning my TV on. My LG TV allows me to turn off and on the sound connection freely, so to compare the sound from my TV and the bar, I did this a few times. The difference was astounding, the bar produced a full, rich sound, while my TV sounded flat and quiet.

The TV is just half of the experience and a good soundbar will really help it shine. I bought this for a LG TV. The soundbar slides perfectly under the TV and between the legs and the wireless subwoofer is small enough to easily tuck into a corner or between the wall and the couch. The sound quality is great, especially for a 2.1 system. It has a fullness that you're just never going to get from TV speakers and details and dialog from movies and TV shows are much easier to hear. The drawback is that sometimes you have to use two remotes to control TV and sound bar. Another issue the remote control is, it has lagging connection meaning you have to hit the buttons couple of times before it worked. Lastly, the syncing process can be frustrated as well since I did initial setup couple of times. Overall, good sound quality (what I care about), with decent price.
Idk why theres a lot of negative reviews on this soundbar. We've had it for few months now & never had any cutting in N out of sound. Maybe because we optical sound cord that is supplied with it. I've not tried the bluetooth mode, but the remote has 3 buttons. 1 for movie mode, 1 for music mode and 1 for dialogue mode and they do the job each is for. The movie mode which we use a lot, makes our movies sound rich and full and bass is rich and not muddy. This gets very loud and envelopes you making movie watching more enjoyable! I'm very happy with this item and if I needed another one for another room, I'd buy this one again!

I love the optical input, it sounds great with my new TV. I ordered the version with the subwoofer, and it makes a lot of difference. If you're using it for music and want bass to shake the room, you can upgrade the subwoofer to something heftier (it's connected with positive and negative wires that can be easily swapped). The remote works really well too, easy to swap between different inputs and control the volume. The LED changes color based on the selected input which is nice UX.
I was surprised by the sound quality of this soundbar. Even though it does not come with a subwoofer, The bass was pretty decent in the movie mode.
The sound quality 5/5:
- The BYL soundbar delivers a clear and solid sound. Compare to my Bose soundbar, honestly, I don't see much difference. In addition, BYL is much cheaper.
Connectivity 5/5:
It comes with AUX, HDMI, and optical fiber. I only used optical fiber and Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connectivity is reliable.
Design 3/5:
The design makes it look good but does not make it feel luxurious. Plastic case. The physical button on the side.
Overall, for under $60, This is an exceptional soundbar.
With all the choices available on Amazon for sound bars, I feel lije a made a great choice. The sound quality is stunning, i never realized shat I was missing. It makes such a difference watching movies and lustening to music now. I set up bluetooth to my phone which was so easy and the sound is awesome. Arrived quickly, packaged very compact, easy set up. I am not very tech friendly and have to say it was so easy to set up. 30 mins. total! For the price and quality.... buy it! Be aware with the digital optical cable you need to remove the rubber tips from the cable and the plastic cover on the sound bar. Sit back and enjoy. Like a movie theater in your home!
The first thing I noticed, it fits much better in front of my tv. The speaker is half the length of 40" sound bar that I have been using. I love the bass from the sub woofer. Compared the two systems by listening to a Robert Plant video. Turned it up loud. Then put the other sound bar back on. Turned it up loud. Back and forth. The new one, had a richer sound and better bass. It is just better.
Needed a soundbar with BT capability, and a sub woofer for our living room. After exhaustive research, and multiple customer reviews, we settled on the BYL version.
