Works great, and instructions were simple enough. I watched a video as well but if you’re like me and had never used one of these before:
1) place stud finder against the wall before turning on
2) hold down the side button until it beeps and continue holding down while scanning for studs
3) Scan for studs by dragging the finder along the wall slowly and horizontally. When it beeps, you’ve found it!
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package that a battery came with it! So that was a bonus!
Was very easy to use and the instructions very clear. As I read past reviews, they note that the display could only be read head on, but that is not the case with a fresh battery. My one hint is to go slow! Once the finder is against the wall, move it from left to right as indicated in the instructions - but if you move it too swiftly it will miss the change, so go slow!

I bought a cheap stud detector before and only to find out it was a waste of money. I need to work on some small project on the wall recently and hope i can find one really function but cheaper than those with a professional price tag at Home Depo. After comparing several vendors on Amazon, I chose this one. It is easy to use and works really well on the wall. I am happy that I made the right decision. If you want a detector with good quality and better price, this is your choice.
The instructions were written in paragraphs and too wordy so I looked up a 1 minute YouTube video and figured out how to use it faster than reading a 2 page book. I've used it twice to find wall studs and it did the job well.
Overall great product and pricing. Picked up the studs immediately without any troubles. I don't know if it's just my stud finder, but I had troubles turning it on at the beginning. I realize that you have to hit the on button and side button to keep it on whereas in the instructions it says to just hit the on button once (had to hit 3 times to turn on). Other then that, it does the job needed.

This stud finder operates by slowly slide device horizontally across wall, right of left. When full bars appears on the LCD and steady tone sounds, you have located the edge of the stud.

How to use
1: Press ON/OFF button to power on the device, and press RIGHT button to choose the scanning
mode you want to detect. Listen "beep"to confirm the mode button effective.
2: Place the device flat on wall first. Then press and hold the button at the left side of the device ,
and keep the unit still until the unit sound a short beep twice and the display bars will be
cleared .
3: While still holding on the button ,move the stud finder on the desired surface to scan and
detect for studs, metal beams, rebars, pipes ,AC wire etc .you can scan the object from left to
right.
4 : When the device detected an object , it will beep continually and a peck shape will also display
on the LCD screen .
Battery installation
1.Open battery door on back of case.
2.Connect a 9-volt battery to battery clip.
3.Insert battery into case and replace battery door.

With a sharp pencil to mark the edges it finds the studs are super easy to locate. Wires and metal behind the walls are almost like being behind a clear sheet of wall board.
great tool to have in your tool box.
For long delay in uses I would recommend removing the battery to keep it safe from discharge or harming your unit if it would decide to leak out.
I turned one of my room's into a man cave and I had lots of items to hang. It was nice knowing were wiring and studs were because some of the items were very heavy and needed a stud to mount to. It was also nice knowing were the wiring was so I could avoid it. All in all I was happy to have the stud finder it made the job easier.
It's still in the box but I know exactly where it is, for when I decide to hang the paintings that are currently stacked in my closet. It's very reassuring to know it's there, like the 9mm handgun that is somewhere in my apartment still packed away in a box, only in case of an emergency where I need the stud finder, I know where it is located.
Works passably fair. The display needs to be viewed head on, it's not nearly as clear as represented in these pictures, and anything off to an angle appears quite dim. Seems to caution adequately for hidden wires and pipes. Finds wood studs ok, and so far reliably. I've only used it on drywall situations.
It doesnt work that great on Stucco, but it does still work with some patience. If you just go slow it works great. That being said, It is pretty accurate. I dont have any metal in my walls, so I couldnt test for that, but I found my wood studs 3 out of 3 times. Its also big enough and heavy enough that it feels good in your hand. I'd give or take the yellow color, but it's not ugly.
