using for bulk fermentation of bread dough. guessing it will easily hold 8 pounds of dough with room to rise. very slippery finish, perfect for dough. doesn’t stick at all, don’t even need to oil it. it’s plastic, so just be careful with tools in it if you want the super smooth to last. fits almost perfectly in the brod and taylor proofer box.
Excellent container for bulk proof of sourdough breads; fits perfectly in a Brod and Taylor proofer. Releases high-hydration doughs quite well, though light oiling of the sides is still advisable. Though purchased with a lid, that has proved useful only in summer when I’m not using the proofer: the proofer works better without the lid on.
I use this for all sorts of things from sourdough bread, to pasta to curing slabs of bacon. It's sturdy and easy to clean. Now all it needs is a lid!

I use the tote for fermenting my bread dough it is great it does not stick and easy to remove and clean it
We use this as a dishpan. Only had it for about 6 months, but it seems really tough and pretty easy to clean. It’s strong (only flexes a bit if you pick it up when it’s most of the way full of water), and our 10.25 inch dinner plates can lie flat on the bottom.
I didn't need a box with a lid and fit my needs fine. It was the dimensions I needed and sturdy.
I'm using this food-safe Rubbermaid container as an outdoor water bowl for my two (large) dogs. They like to bury their noses while they drink, so it's perfect.
This container is very sturdy but smaller than I expected. Be sure to check the size before you buy it
