I use this nearly every day to drain pastas, vegetables that have been washed, and just anything that is drippy. While it isn't as efficient as a wire basket to get the vegetable wash soap off, the extra water is worth it for this virtue: it collapses to put in the dishwasher and to store. Everyone should have at least one of these.

This colander is huge! It is so easy to maneuver the bowl portion up and down and the side handles. It collapses for easy storage and even goes in the dishwasher. My only complaint is that it isn’t the easiest to clean. Sometimes I have to rewash it in the dishwasher open instead of with the bowl collapsed and it holds water in the handles so when I take it out I always have to

This collapsible colander is perfect for those with limited storage space. It straddles the sink well, and is nice and stable when set down on the counter. Drains well, does the job! Can hold up to three whole boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, cooked. Collapses for easy storage. I don't really love the color, but it's not important to the function.

I wash fruits and vegetables almost every day. This colander is super handy and so easy to clean and store. The plastic extender could be made more sturdy at the joints and it would be nice if there are rubber pads at the underside of the handle to provide extra grip to the sink surfaces. Overall I like it and it is an indispensable part of my kitchen tool.
My new colander is nice, just what I needed for extra capacity flooding in to my kitchen from my garden; lots of fruits and veggies. The water flows through the colander easily and the expanding bracket holds in place without troubles. I don't know how long this item will hold up but even if its just a few years, its well worth the price I paid. I have other sturdier, metal models that I hang in my garden for outdoor use and that I use to transfer items to the Kitchen. Overall, a good buy and I am satisfied with my purchase.
Best thing ever! I was so annoyed with cleaning and using my strainers. So I got this. Best purchase ever! It won’t fall in the sink, and it collapses to save space. Not to mention it collapses in such a way that the dishwasher can clean all of it!
I have been using a large metal strainer for years. It is big & bulky, hard to store & hard to clean & barely fits across the sink. This new one is fantastic. Fits across any sink because the handles extend, very stable & high up so the water from underneath never touches the food & super easy to clean. It says dishwasher safe but even collapsed it is really too big for the dishwasher but as I said it is very easy to clean. Love how easy it is to collapse & store it. I bought two.
