I was leery leaving Cuisinart for this Barsetto; however, after two brews, I am very pleased with my new Barsetto.
I switched to the Barsetto because my Cuisinart DGB-900BC finally gave out (after six years of service). There were things about the Cuisinart that I mildly disliked. I've had two Cuisinart grind and brews.
The Barsetto is much easier to clean, has fewer parts, and a few more options I appreciate (e.g., being able to select ground size).
Minor cons are the manual translation from Italian to English is not very good and the clock is a 24-hour clock, which took a little time for me to adjust to. The clock is not a big issue for me (I just don't remember it being mentioned in the description) and the unit is easy to figure out (in spite of the grammar , spelling, and tense errors in the manual.)
Some anxiety about ordering a new item with no reviews, but product offered all features I was looking for so I decided to try it and I’m glad I did. Machine is well made. Was shipped in a very secure package. Easy to set up. The bean grind is very consistent, heater stays on for 1 hr. Makes a great cup of coffee and the program function allow you to wake up to a perfect cup!

All I really ask of a coffee maker is that it make good coffee. This machine does the job. It has more adjustments (grind, strength, amount) than most other models in the same price range. It also is much easier to clean than others I've had. A couple tips: make sure you measure the height of the space where you're going to put it -- this machine is taller than many counter-top coffee makers. Not by much, but enough to not fit under some cabinets in older homes. Also, because the grinder isn't removable, I run a clean pot of water through it ever couple days just to help avoid buildup.
After I saw the UPS driver dropping the box on floor so hard, I thought the machine didn’t make it. I love the sound of the grinder and the taste of my freshly brew coffee beans. I never going to view coffee like I do now - nothing but beans.

How To Use:
1.Open the Tank Cover, pour clean cold water into water tank until desired cups showed on water.
2.Press Funnel Press Key once and rotate the funnel support to the left, ensure the filter is inside of the Funnel Support. Add desired coffee powder into the filter according to your experience, then turn the Funnel Support to the right until it is locked.
3.Set the number of cup (2,4,6,8,10) through press the cup adjustment button (see "control panel"), if you do not set the number of cup, the default number of cup is 10 cups.
4.Press the "Grind off" button once, the blue "Grind off" indicator will be illuminated, then press the ON/OFF button once, the coffee maker will brew directly.
5.When finish brewing, if you do not unplug the power cord from the power outlet, the coffee can be warmed in the carafe for some time, after some time, the appliance will cut off power automatically. The whole process from brewing coffee to finishing warming lasts for 1 hour.
Love everything about this machine! I use to French press my coffee which I loved but now that my husband took up coffee this is so much easier for both of us. Nothing like fresh ground coffee!
I actually love it just wish it had a better instructions manual, don't know how to clean the grinder,or if it comes apart... it has to !
So far I am very happy with this machine. The filter is great. Make a wonderful pot of coffee. My only complaint would be that the grinder is very loud. However, it seems to work very good. Also there seems to be no good way of cleaning the grinding pot. Overall easy to use! I Love it!
Couldn't rate durability since we owned it for a week, but so far everything is working well and makes good coffee.
You have to fill the water reservoir for each use.
