First off, yes unboxing and unravelling these is a bit of a chore, but the end result is worth it.
Secondly, YES these are connectable. The ends are not the traditional "plug" we're used to, but rather small pins which are located under the screw-top pieces on the ends. The black screwtop (comes attached to the part you plug into the wall) is permanently attached to the cord at the male end and when plugged in to the female end acts as a cover for the joint and keeps it secure. The clear top (which removes completely) is the female end.
Tips for unravelling:
1) It goes against intuition, but DO NOT untie the twist tie. It will help keep that extra length of cord out of your way
2) DO NOT try to do this sitting down. You need the weight of the stars and cord to keep things separated.
3) Use a bar of some sort to help keep the sorted ones separate if you're by yourself (I used my patio swing top bar) Otherwise, DO enlist a second set of hands.
4) Start with unbraiding/twisting the large stars. As you get one or two undone, hang them over the bar or give them to your second set of hands to keep them out of the way.
5) Do the same with the small stars, but as you break free one, hang it over the bar (see the theme?) until you can get them all apart.
6) Hang them using the incredibly helpful hooks attached. Keep in mind, these hooks are small, with an opening about the size of a dime. I pre-hung some heavy string to attach them to on my balcony ceiling.
7) Take a drink. You deserve it. You adulted, and didn't throw the whole thing across the room in a wadded up light ball, and now you have something pretty to show for your hard work

purchased for my daughter’s bedroom. it is easy to install as it came with hooks already attached to it, but you got to have some patience untangling the wires specially if you are doing it by yourself, otherwise still easy to set up. another thing i like about these
lights is the remote control that came with it, which allows you to change the mode or pattern of the blinking and also lets you adjust the brightness of the lights. we use it also as a night light and not just for decoration, since i’ve realized that the dimmed brightness together with the slow twinkling of the lights (cue twinkle twinkle little star lullaby) was not only mesmerizing but also relaxing to my daughter, thus making her sleepy! overall, i am happy that my daughter loves it, and i highly recommend this product.
These are perfect! I wanted lights that were not too long because I have pets and was worried they might try to pull on or eat the lights. I was happy to see that these fit perfectly over my window and werent too long. The star shape makes them even better because its festive.
Cons: the product is a bit cheaply made, but all the lights work fine and it looks really nice at night. I gave 4 stars because the lights came in the biggest tangle I’ve ever seen. Took me well over an hour to untangle.

HANG THEM UP BEFORE YOU UNTANGLE THEM! Seriously, they just fall into place if you just hang them by their hooks first. Haha. They are BEAUTIFUL! The remote allows you to dim the brightness within each setting so you can have flickers, slow waves in and out, fast pulses all super bright or super dim and almost romantic it feels. I have ours hung across our living room picture window and it goes perfectly across and creates a great addition to our Christmas lights outside. The remote is very easy to use and my 16 month old son loves playing with it watching the lights change as he adjusts them.
Very nice and makes a really cozy corner. Took a while to unwire but it definitely worth it!
I like the look and one strand (12 lights) fits perfectly in our front window at the holiday season. It took me A SUPER LONG time to untangle them out of the box though!!! When I took them down to store, I ended up using twisty ties on each star. Hopefully that makes next year a bit easier. One odd thing about the strand is that we kept them on the constant light (the blinking ones were a bit too club-like for our living room), but they would randomly go out and then come back on- not consistently and not ever in any type of pattern. Maybe it's our old house and the wiring?? Love the look though!
Love them!! They are perfect for my needs, cord is long enough to make some arrangement and lights bright enough. Remote come with battery which is so nice I don't need to get one by myself. Tried lots of mode and I love the last one which is not so fast but changes very gently. Feeling Warm when using it in my room.
