I researched many wireless, noise cancelling headphones that weren't $200+ and decided to try these out. I used these for a full day of travel (from the east coast to Hawaii) and they are still going strong without needing to recharge. I am sure they might not have the sound quality of a Bose pair for everyday use but if you fly often, these really are phenomenal. I had a screaming baby in the row in front of me the whole flight and these puppies made it feel like I was sitting alone in my bedroom watching a movie. I was able to listen to music/watch movies without the engine noise or the terror toddler screams. I am also impressed with the quality and ease of use. They are a bit bulkier than other headphones but I don't mind it at all. I have no regrets at all with this purchase and I think I made a believer out of the random stranger I sat next to on the plane. Paired easily with both my iPhone and Kindle and I like how I have the option of a wire and airline adapter if needed. I rarely leave product feedback but I have enjoyed these so much, I felt I needed to share in case anyone was on the fence about purchasing. I have no complaints. Only wish I had bought them sooner!

Usually do NOT write reviews, but tested a few headphones (and returned all but this one)...so my Christmas gift from a friend via gift card. In section like a few other reviews. (1.Noise cancel-5*) if you understand the way this works, then you know you will hear slight hiss, most of the airplane noise will be eliminated by the padded cups over your ears! While playing music, just shut the feature off. (2.Weight-4*) these are big and bulkier than Bose costing 3x, but if you want to travel light wear earbuds! (3.Bluetooth-5*) perfect (4.Battery-5*) bigger size=longer battery life! (5.Sound-5*) The right amount of bass, you can really only get from over-ear, overall these are awesome...oh, and value would be 6* because at $100 they are a tremendous value, and if they break in a yr...could but a newer version. PAWW has impressed me.

I bought these since I needed a decent pair of headphones for listening to audiobooks, podcasts and music while I'm working outside, mowing the lawn, etc. I wanted decent ANR mainly for mowing the lawn since I usually need to wear ear protection on the lawn tractor. The sound quality is much better than expected. Not quite audiophile level quality but I didn't expect them to match the quality of headphones costing several hundred dollars. I was really surprised how well the ANR worked. My first test was with my stove hood turned on max (which is unfortunately quite loud) and it significantly reduced the noise to a very low acceptable, almost pleasant, white noise. Using power tools outside it also worked very well. I'm really impressed the ANR works so well for headphones in this price range.

I'm really picky about ANR. As a pilot who flies regularly with an expensive ANR headset, I would say the ANR is almost on par with my expensive headset. I haven't tried them in the plane but given that the noise of my lawn tractor is similar in sound, with the lawn tractor being a bit louder than the plane's motor inside the cockpit, I'd expect them to function very well in a larger commercial plane where the sound isn't so loud. The ANR even deadened the traffic noise of cars on a busy road that's a few hundred feet from my house.

The build quality is very good with metal parts where there need to be metal parts. The headband is comfortable and easy to adjust as are the earcups. The carry pouch that comes with it is nice and the little pocket for the adapters that come with it are a nice touch. They're easily chargeable via USB and the battery lasts longer than I'd ever use them. The longest I've worn them so far is about two hours maybe a bit more.

I only have two criticisms; 1) the ANR switch is fairly stiff and you need to pull the earpiece away from your ear turning it on due to the mechanical thud. It's not an electronic thing just the mechanical thud of moving the switch so close to your ear. 2) I wish the ear cups were just a bit longer and oval so they'd completely cover my ears. The ANR works well enough that it doesn't really matter but slightly bigger earcups would be nice and maybe a bit more comfortable.

They were also very easy to pair with my phone and the voice prompts make it pretty effortless. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone.

I bought these headphones mainly for its noise cancellation feature, and I have to admit it is the best noise cancelling headphones I have owned. As a frequent flyer , I have owned BOSE and SONY headphones before , but this is my favorite and for a fraction of a price.

Love the packaging , and the travel case that it comes with. It is also very well made.

I bought these headphones for my son. He is on the spectrum and attends a private school for kids with special needs another town and county away. He cannot stand the noise on the bus and has been driven exclusively for the last two years. The last time he was on the bus the police were called after he lost it due to the bus driver playing music he couldn't stand and another child with Tourrette's who kept swearing. But we're divorced and mom needs to work. So, he's back on the bus. My solution was noise canceling headphones. Since I'm paying for child support AND paying for the headphones, I skipped the brand that starts with a B and tried these after reading encouraging reviews.
We plugged in the micro usb cord to the headphones and then to my wall charger that I use for my tablet and they were charged less than 3 hrs later. We then put everything back into the case and put it in his backpack (love the case). He had a great first two days listening to spotify.

I've had these for a little over a month now, and I really, really like them. I took them on a recent trip to South Africa and they did an amazing job of silencing the Boeing Dreamliners we flew on. With noise canceling turned on the jet noise went away (basically completely; very impressive noise canceling) and audio from in-seat system was crystal clear. I was able to listen at relatively low volume because the noise canceling worked so well. I left them on for sleeping because they were so quiet and comfortable.

Note that noise-canceling headphones do not cancel out variable higher-frequency noises like people talking. So while the drone of the engines can be completely eliminated you'll still hear people talking. The people talking will be much quieter, though. As another example, in my bedroom at home we have a ceiling fan. It's not loud but it's a constant low-frequency noise. These headphones completely eliminate that noise but I'll still be able to hear the TV or people talking if they're loud enough. I mention this just for people who are new to noise-canceling headphones in order to set expectations appropriately. These headphones work like magic, but only if you know what to expect.

My previous headphones were Beats Studio wired over-ear headphones. Those are good, but nowhere close to these. These were a big upgrade for 1/3 of the price of the Beats (from several years ago).

Bluetooth works with my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge without any trouble at all, and it's really nice to be wireless. Syncing is easy. Volume and track controls on the right ear are easy to use and convenient. The active noise-canceling switch on the left ear is easily accessible (and a light turns on when NC is on). While wireless is great, the headphones come with a cord so if you need to plug into a device (like on an airplane) you can certainly do that.

Charging time is reasonable. A couple of hours I think.

Hard-sided carrying case is great. The headphones fold up easily and neatly fit into the case without any issues.

Frankly, with rechargeable lithium-ion batteries exploding in devices in the last few years that was my main concern with these headphones. To be honest, the first few times I had these on my head I would periodically feel the headphones to see if they were getting hot. I didn't really want an explosion or fire right on my head. Fortunately, after many uses I have experienced no problems with overheating so I'm now pretty confident it's not going to be an issue. I would have preferred the use of replaceable batteries like AA or AAA.

After our latest trip I bought another pair of the WaveSound 3 for my 10-year-old. My 14-year-old has the WaveSound 2 set which is the previous version. All three of us are impressed.

The reviewer of this is Tom Hammond, not Teresa.
Purchased the PAWW Wavesound 3 headphones to replace my aging (4 years old and failing) BOSE AE2W headphones. Wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but am not disappointed.
Comfort: Not as comfortable as my BOSE, but to be expected because of the sturdier construction of the PAWWs. Good fit over the ears, but tight on the head. I anticipate they will loosen some the more they are used. If not, I will adjust to them and move on.
Construction: Seem to be VERY well made. The rigidness of the headband makes me confident they were made to last. There is some minor concern about the plastic used in the pivoting joints, but (hopefully) not treating them roughly will contribute to the survival of the joints.
Sound: I would say they sound every bit as good as my BOSE. When the noise cancellation selection is on, the sound is a bit richer, but not so much that it needs to be used constantly. I am older and my hearing is not as ‘selectable’ as a younger person, but the base, treble and high end all seem to be more than adequate for my needs. When the noise cancellation is on, it seems to work quite well. It shut out many of the external noises when I used it.
Connection: Connected quite easily and quickly to my PC. I use them primarily to watch movies on my PC and I detected no lag in the audio from the movie. The words heard over the PAWWs appear to be right in sync with the movement of the actor’s mouths in the movie. This was a bit of a concern for me in the initial purchase, but turns out to not be a problem at all.
Battery Life: Can’t really speak to that in terms of actual use. I have only had them a couple of days and have not used them much. I did leave them on overnight (about a total of 24 hours or so) and they were still going strong after that time. I will be happy to get enough of a charge to last me a week of use (an hour or two a day at most). We will see.
Case: I like the case. Seems to be relatively sturdy without being overly hard. The net bag inside for holding the cables is a nice touch as well. Since my BOSE only came with a bag, this is a huge improvement.
Overall: I am well pleased with these headphones. I could not afford to replace my old BOSE with new BOSE and the reviews I saw on the PAWWs Wavesound 3 (and previous versions) made them seem like a reasonable alternative. I think the sound quality is every bit as good as my BOSE and at a much lower cost.
Pros: 1) Excellent sound. 2) Good solid construction. 3) Excellent battery life (I believe).
Cons: The only cons I have are these: 1) I would have preferred an actual ON/OFF switch. It took me a while to figure out that I had to hold the Bluetooth button for a while to shut them off. Not a deal breaker, just mildly inconvenient.

Great value and does what they say they do. I have had them about 2 weeks. Before buying I did as much research as possible(thank you amazon community for the great feedback on all of the brands I asked about and in helping me make this decision).
What I was looking for was over the ear (wanted large ear cups), Good sound, comfort wearing, no sweating of ear, and of course good sound quality with adequate noise canceling.
I tried Bose quiet comfort 35 at a big box store-this was about a 2-3 minute test and knew I didn't want to spend that much.and yes, I did hear background noise from the store and for the money felt they would cancel more. But anyway, too much for my income.
I tried IdeUSA V200 and V201. My wife kept the V201, had nice large earcups. I returned the V200 because of the smallish earcups. and then settled on the PAWW 3.
Pros-Sound quality is better then I expected and the noise canceling was good. I used them on 737 plane and sitting in the rear of the plane heard no noise and on the return sat near wing(engines right outside the window) and heard minor droaning noise. I also used them in the room with others watching TV and conversation and was more then pleased in not hearing either.
- The earcups are soft and both flights were 3 hours. Ears didn't sweat. These are extremely comfortable.
-The over the head part is metal-NOT PLASTIC-. Yes, I've read of those that thought they were uncomfortable becuase the metal touched their head and they thought it was uncomfortable. My first time putting them on, I remembered the reviews about the discomfort-then I adjusted them and is a non-issue. I like the meta and hope this provides more durability.
-Noise Canceling-I did not hear a hum like some mention in reviews of this and others and when I flipped the noise canceling button there was a huge improvement.

Cons-Pairing was a little difficult initially and still waiting for 1 device to pair but this may be a device issue. After using a couple times with devices connection is much improved and no longer an issue.
-1 ear pad has stitching that is not the quality of the other, causing a slight "crimp" in the pad that I was afraid might let sound in. On the flights, I flipped the sides and noticed no difference in the sound.

Summation-these are a buy and do what is advertised. I am pleased with the purchase

They certainly served their purpose. I purchased these for a long flight. The flight was 6 hours, I used them for approximately 5 of those hours. I bluetoothed to my ipad. The noise cancelling was effective. Not perfect, there was a significant difference in the engine noise and voices were audible but not disturbingly so. I am satisfied that they delivered a good value for my needs. BTW, had 75% battery left AFTER the flight.

I had a long flight coming up and I couldn't afford Bose headphones to cancel the noise of the jet engines, so I took a chance on the WaveSound and was pleasantly surprised. While I can't compare them with Bose, the WaveSound headphones exceeded my expectations. I first tried out the ANC feature in my daughter's bedroom where she has a window A/C unit. With ANC turned on, the noise of the A/C was replaced with a pleasing soft white noise. It worked equally as well in masking the jet engines on my flights.

I'm not an audiophile, but music playback was good both with ANC on and off. I had no issues pairing the headphones with my Samsung Galaxy S5 or Dragon Android tablet. The included audio cord came in handy when plugging into the entertainment console on my American Airlines flights and never ran out of battery or even got a low battery warning after watching 2 full-length movies. Recharging is easy with the included USB cable. I've charged it while plugged into a USB port on my Epson printer as well as an Anker USB wall charger.

If I had any cons, it would be that the after a few hours wearing the headphones with my glasses on they began to get uncomfortable.
