Bought the silver O'Bright Dimmable LED Desk Lamp with USB Charging Port as a reading light to save on electricity. I chose this lamp mainly due to the USB charging port feature which I found out to be reversible! Being a technical person myself I thought only USB Type-C charging ports are reversible... This is a very smart design and a pleasant surprise. You no longer have to worry about the orientation of the USB connector when charging your phone using the charging port on this lamp.
About the looks, I liked the simple(description said vintage) yet contemporary aluminum look that will match any desk nicely without looking out of place. This desk lamp has a heavy base so it won't tip over like many cheap desk lamps out there. The construction of the lamp seems very solid and well designed.
The product label says the color temperature is 3000K which, to my liking, is on the warm side and resemble natural sunlight which gives more accurate color rendition. Some LED lamps tend to be on the cool side which I think puts out too much blue light which is very damaging to the eye. I feel that cool temperature lights give off negative vibe... For protection against blue light I wear eyeglasses that I got from my optometrist just to block out damaging blue light when I play with my cellphone or in front of the PC monitor. Anyways, I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants to save electricity by getting an energy efficient LED desk lamp instead of turning on an overhead light that lights up the whole room. And the convenient USB port that is reversible is the icing on the cake.
I needed a bright and adjustable LED lamp for beside my recliner. This is perfect. I checked out a number of other possibilities on Amazon, but this seemed to best fit my needs. The lamp is sturdy and well-made. Brightness range suite me very well for different ambient light conditions. The light is white without any color cast--my personal preference. It is no exaggeration to say that I love this lamjp.
This is a good desk lamp. It occupies a small amount of desk space, has good brightness control and an excellent USB port. I would like to suggest a few improvements for the next upgrade to this lamp.
The existing on/off button operates backward. Wrenches and plumbing valves rotate clockwise to close, but the lamp's button rotates clockwise to open and increase brightness. This feature should be reversed.
The lamp should have a slightly longer gooseneck for extended reach and desk area coverage
The majority of LED lamps have control features for brightness AND color temperature. The next edition of the lamp should have a color temperature knob in addition to a brightness knob.
The next edition of the lamp should have a dedicated on/off button with a power save light that can be seen in the dark. Brightness and color temperature should be controlled with separate knobs.
The lamp performs as promised, but there is an issue with the usb connector on the side. At first you will feel like a usb plug won't fit into it, as if the connector-part of the plug is too-centered to match your cord's plug. I had to force my jack into the plug for it to fit, coming at it at this angle, then that angle, and finally it fit. Don't try to jam it in there and risk breaking it, just gently force it until it slips in there correctly.
I'm writing this off as a minor design flaw; who engineers something like this, without making sure an unconventional cord won't correctly connect into an unconventional place, without thoroughly testing it first. You shouldnd't have to force it so hard, you're afraid of breaking it on first use. So, one star off for the experience. Still, lamp works fine so far.
It's exactly what I wanted. I like the fact that the dimmer control is an actual knob instead of a touch control which can, over time, quit working. I do have some things to point out that would be more wish-list items:
1. Move the required caution sticker from the lamp head to maybe underneath or on the back of the base so you don't see it. Probably some legal reason it has to be in plain view, but it's like those "Do Not Remove" tags on your mattress.
2. It'd be nice if there was a second USB jack but maybe there isn't room inside the base. Don't know.
3. On mine, the dimmer control isn't square with the base; it's tilted a few degrees to one side. Doesn't hinder the operation at all, it's just a quality control issue. I haven't gotten around to see if I can open the base to remount the control.
Those three items don't deserve to have a star taken away; just some suggestions for future versions. All in all, very pleased with the lamp.

I've only had this light about a week, but I love it. First, it's very well made, heavy, well balanced, longer neck for more more height. Second, the variable lighting. Goes from a softer light to a sharp white light for reading or detail work. I like that it's a dial I can adjust myself rather than preset levels of brightness. Third, this is for a small table next to my chair. The base is smaller than a lot of the others, so it's perfect.
I've bought the cheaper lights (3) before and got what I paid for. Based on peoples reviews I decided to spend a little more. I am so glad I did!!!! All the features I mentioned made it worth more than double what I paid for it.
I didn't think the USB port would see much use; however, I find it convenient for charging earphones and battery packs. It doesn't have a surge suppression system, so I don't use it for phones, iPad or iPods.
The light itself is a good task light. The beam spreads to about 24" wide on the desktop. If my wife didn't already have one that she loves (which cost 5X what this one does, she would steal this one. (Her fancy one doesn't have the USB charging port.
I like this lamp. It has a nice "clicky" on/off switch. In my experience, a cheap on/off switch is the most frequent failure of lamps/flashlights, so it's nice to find one that should last. Also easy to find in the dark--the lamp this replaces has one of those smooth capacitive switches that seems cool until you need to turn it on in the dark; good luck finding just the spot to turn it on. Easy peasy on this lamp.
It has a nice useful range of brightness, from just-brighter-than-a-nitelite to not-quite-too-bright. My one dislike- & this is entirely a preference- is that it's a very "yellowish" light. I prefer whiter; though it lists it as 3000k & I didn't look this up to see what shade it is (that's on me), it also lists as "cool white", which mine definitely is not.
Also, as has been pointed out previously, it can tip over if extended all the way out; but it's not a problem at less extreme extensions; still very versatile "pointability".
So, it's a bit yellow for my tastes, but overall a very versatile light and a quality switch that's pointable in any direction. If the colour doesn't bother you, it'll probably be a 5 star lamp for you.
Great desk light, very compact, adjustable and solid feeling. Love the dimmer function and that the dimmer doesn’t have a buzz. Tested the usb function and it and it charged an iPhone well. Will be great for my daughters dorm room desk. Liked it so much I immediately went back and ordered the clip version for over her bed as well. (Also told a friend and they ordered them too!) The gooseneck lets this fold down compactly which will make for easy transportation to and from school.
I received this light about a week ago and so far it's the perfect addition to my desk. The design is modern and the light seems very made especially for the price I paid for it. There is a USB port on the side that allows you to charge any device and the light is controlled by a knob that you can turn left and right. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase. The only con I have with this light is it charges my phone (Galaxy S9) very slowly; it doesn't seem that the USB port is adapted for my phone.
