This is the greatest invention since toilet paper. I didn't even know I really needed this until I plugged that sucker in and flipped the switch and TAA DAA! no mess, perfectly sifted flour at my finger tips. I will no longer skip that baking step of "sift the dry ingredients together." this is now my go to wedding gift for all of my closest mates. If you are looking at this thinking, how hard is it to just use my regular old mesh shift that my great great granny gave me, well throw it in the goodwill box and prime this thing to your door. I will change your life.
Very seldom does a product get five stars! This one does! I was able to sift my powdered sugar and oh my god this thing did it efficiently. It takes about 30-40 % faster then your traditional sifter. Bu the great thing is that I often like to sift my powder sugar twice and the 2nd time around it is super faster!! I am planning on buying one for my mom who also likes to bake! It does need a C battery but it's held up pretty good so far!! Love it! Would recommend and would definitely buy again! I really want this item to last me a long time and i find it an essential kitchen tool if you often sift.
I love this sifter! It sift things I didn't before I got it because it makes it so easy and fast. Sifting flour, powdered sugar and cocoa produces perfectly smooth frostings and cake batters.
The only disadvantages are that
1. the unit is not washable other than by wiping with a damp cloth
2. and the opening is a bit too large to fit on top of my one cup measure, which means a lot of whatever I'm sifting ends up on the parchment I place the cup on.
Nice add-ons would be covers for the top and bottom to allow you to move a full sifter without leaving a trail of flour or store some flour for quick sifts and a funnel to direct the sifted substances into the measuring cup.
Why oh why didn't I buy one of these sooner and save myself time and a serious hand cramp? Works great for sifting large amounts of flour or powdered sugar, easy to rinse out. My only complaints are that it doesn't have anything to hold it on the edge of the bowl, so you can't dump your stuff in and walk away to do something else, and that it is LOUD. If you are making things like royal icing that need a lot of sifting, it's a game changer.
I had surgery on both hands so I slowed down with my baking because I couldn't do a lot of manual sifting. Then I discovered this wonderful little gadget. It's quick and easy to use and my friends and family are so grateful. The only problem I experienced was trying to get all of the confectioner's sugar off of it. It seems to stick and since you can't submerge it, it takes a little time to clean.

Arrived yesterday, right on time. Acutally larger than I thought. Used it today for the first time. Dumped the flour in then turned it on and whoosh, the sifting was done. Fantastic. Replaced a squeeze type that fell apart after 3 months (12 uses). Questions asked about cleaning, as I clean any new cooking item before use, I easily removed screen (per instructions) and washed it. Instructions say not to get body wet (risk of shorting the electrical connections) so I wipped it down with a sanitary wipe.
I’ve had this for a few weeks now & I love it so much. I have a lot of joint & nerve pain from autoimmune problems so I was so happy to find that battery operated sifters were a real thing. I hate using the hand cranks, so I have been using a mesh strainer to sift, but it takes forever. This thing is a godsend. It’s noisy & a little hard to clean, but if those are the only downsides I can live with it. It works really fast too, so that’s also another plus!
This thing sifts like an industrial sander. It is quick and easy and blows through flour in short order. I bought if for my wife, but whenever she is baking I volunteer to sift the flour because I enjoy using it so much. My sister-in-law asked for a had powered sifter for Christmas, but I bought her one of these instead and she loves it. It has a simple one button, on-off operation. On = flour flowing through like water. It's a great kitchen gadget
I originally bought this because I have severe carpal tunnel and a manual sifter was just too painful. It works really well and holds a good amount. I have sifted 6 cups of powdered sugar with no problem. You can also sift flour with other spices, cocoa powder, etc. added. It is so easy to clean and dries really quick. I wish I had bought one sooner.
So far this sifter is a gem. I've only used it a couple of times, but it is FAST and easy. It's nice and wide so it's easy to pour your powdered sugar or flour in. It easily holds a couple of cups at a time and if you can hold it in one hand and scoop with the other, you could just keep adding until you have enough. Would love to see some kind of attachment so that it can clip to the edge of a bowl or something.
