The starter kit that comes along with it includes a nice soft-sided gig back with an accessory pocket and backpack-style straps. The uke also has strap buttons, and the strap that comes with it can be used with the buttons or with the included string if you want to tie it on the headstock. The clip-on tuner that comes with the kit is easy to use, and a must when breaking in a new uke. Additionally the kit comes with a spare set of nylon strings, and a "get started" book with a lot of basics about playing the ukulele.
This would be a great first-time instrument, as it comes with everything you need to start playing. It is also a good addition for anyone who is looking for a nice soprano ukulele, as it both sounds great and looks really nice. The wood grain finish is stylish but simple, and it has a nice rope design print around the sound hole. The quality at this price point is really excellent -- this uke is fun to play, and I plan to enjoy its music for many years to come.
You get the ukulele, a padded gig bag, extra strings, a clip-on tuner, a strap, and instruction book. The extras alone are worth the price.
One of the unexpected features was the compensated saddle; I have other more expensive ukuleles and I've never seen that. I also did not expect strap buttons, sealed tuners, or the arched back! You will also find that the sound is amazingly loud for the size. Beginners and intermediate players can't go wrong with this package.

I have to say that I’m very surprised and impressed with the sound that comes from this little ukulele. It’s LOUD, and has a really great punchy sound to it. To me this is the most important thing, but everything else is pretty great as well. It comes with really nice d’addario fluorocarbon strings, and an extra set for when they need replacing. You also get a tuner that works perfect, a nice padded gig bag, a strap (that attaches to the strap buttons included on this uke!) and a starter booklet with some tips and exercises if you’re a beginner.
As for looks, it has a nice rope pattern around the sound hole, a pretty mahogany wood grain, brown closed gear tuners, and a very nicely inlayed “kmise” logo on the headstock.
This ukulele is a great buy! I seriously can’t believe how good it sounds! I will be attaching a video for a little sound clip soon.
I am using Kmise Ukuleles in my classroom. For the money they are an amazing buy. I am most likely going to buy more as my budget will allow. They come with the strap, a good case and the tuner. I have tried several different brands and find Kmise to be consistently well made as wellas sounding great. I wish the strings were a bit better, but those are easy to replace and they offer free strings, so my music students can upgrade on their own instrument! I have had several student's buy them because they are so affordable and so far they are very happy. I will update this review if anything changes. (Oh, BTW- it takes about 2 weeks of playing and tuning before the strings have stretched. I now have very little tuning to do to get ready for class...so play a lot and tune a lot and then things will be fine.)
This ukulele exceeded my expectations, and I’m very pleased with it. It has good intonation up the fretboard, it’s set up well, it plays easily, and it sounds great. Although I usually change strings when I get a uke, the included strings are fine, and I’m keeping them on—a savings of about $8—plus they include an extra set. The gig bag won’t provide a ton of protection, but it’s about right for this uke, which, being laminate, is already pretty durable. And I like the tuner. The included learning materials are much better than expected, and being able to watch online tutorials is a nice addition.
I’d warn any new buyer that it takes a while for the strings to settle in—you’ll have to retune regularly till they do. But the tuners on this work well. The side position dots are very helpful, and I’m glad they’re there. The neck is comfortable and rounded. There’s always a place for a good-sounding laminate ukulele, as it doesn’t need to be pampered and you can take it where you wouldn’t take an expensive uke. I’d recommend this uke without hesitation. The fact that it came so well set up out of the box, and with the fret ends smooth means beginners can buy it without worrying that it will be difficult to play. Kmise seems to really be working on getting the kinks out of ordering a uke online and I appreciate their efforts.
I owned 2 ukuleles before I bought this one. My first ukulele was a Hilo soprano uke, and my second ukulele was a Kala concert uke. My daughter became interested in ukulele so I decided to buy another one. I wanted something nicer sounding than the Hilo, but not as expensive as the Kala. This ukulele actually cost me less than I bought the Hilo for (10 years ago) and the Kmise uke sounds nicer too! The Kmise soprano uke was noticeably louder than my other two ukuleles, and I think the slightly arched back is one reason for that. The Kmise uke has a solid wood fretboard, rather than the plywood fretboard on my more expensive Kala. This package was nice, it came with a good strap that fits both adults and kids. It’s a better strap than those necklace ones with a plastic hook on the soundhole. The case is decent, and the tuner works well. I was so impressed with this Kmise soprano uke that I ended up buying its bigger brother, the Kmise baritone uke. They are both very nice quality and both have beautiful natural wood color. I know they are plywood, but they sound so much better than my other plywood Ukes they almost sound like solid wood. For 43 bucks, this ukulele is nicer than my 120 dollar Kala. I highly recommend this brand of ukulele.
