We started to have kids to help growing some vegetables in our backyard since last year and we found it is the best way to encourage them to eat vegetables. They enjoy the process, from planting, watering, harvest, to cooking. Last year we grew zucchini, cucumber, and bell pepper. One of my friend suggests us to try this grow bag for our new planting project, for this is easier for kids to see the growth of the vegetables through the window and it's easy to harvest too. I am happy when I receive the bag because they are thick, and look durable. I will update more details and pictures when our project begins.
It is a well design for backyard farmers. Not just for potato’s, I also planted some carrots around the side of one bag. Light weight, not like the traditional style pots, I could easily relocate it.
Sturdy, not like the light plastic bags, this material is alike tarps, which I usually cover my to be work land, and it can stay under sun light without quickly aged.
I can’t wait to harvest my potato’s and carrots. In the old time, I had to “hunt” my potatos with a full effort, to “clean out” all of the covered dirt. Now, with the easy grow bags, I’ll Just open the side pocket, wala, the potato’s and carrots are going to be easily dig out.
It can also be a simple format of compost bin. Just keep throwing kitchen and garden waste.
A nice product for backyard gardeners. Give it a try and you’ll love it.
I came across a detail plan of building potato box from The Seattle Times last year and planned to buy wood boards to build it. The only thing holding me back is the cost. Luckily, I found these growing bags as a cheaper and portable way to grow potatoes this year. The size of bags is good for moving around. The bags are made of a good strong poly tarp and look like they will work well. I've rolled the sides down and used a mixture of potting soil and compost for 4-inch deep for potato sections, will add another layers when the vines are about 12 inches above the mix. All in all for the price seems like a great purchase. I don’t know how long they will last under sunlight but expect to use bags for 2 growing seasons.
This is a great product that is very durable and big enough to hold my plants. The handles on the sides are very strong so that when you fill the bag up, it will not break once you fill it up with dirt. The bag is made of a high quality eco friendly that allows the excess water to drain as well. Would definitely buy again the next time I decide to grow something!
I usually uses the big beverage bucket to grow potatoes. The grow bags came a couple weeks ago but it was still too cold to plant..The bags are made of a good strong fabric. The bag is a smaller which i was OK with, since too much soil is hard for me to move the bag around. The downside of the bucket is that it does not last, the UV deteriorate the plastic and hopefully the bag would last longer. All in all for the price seems like a great purchase, I just planted my potato as the spring is coming. I shall updated more picture in fall.

Description
this grows bags can hold 10 gallons of dirt, enough for you to grow a variety of vegetables
I have grown lots of potatoes, beets, carrots, onions in these kinds of bags. Nice quality, easy to use, I would recommend keeping a handy supply of new soil near the bag as it gets heavy to move.
These plant bags are really efficient. I use mine to grow potatoes and they look really good so far. The bag holds a good amount of soil and provides plenty of other benefits that plants need.
Potato plants are already growing in the bag. Don’t know what the crop will be like yet. Easy to fill and start.
These bags dramatically increased the real estate of my garden. If you need to plant vegetables or larger flowers then the 10 gallon will work great. The fabric and stitching is sturdy, so if you need to reposition the grow bag you can pull or lift it. This is very much in line with my requirements and makes me more interested.
The material is firm and strong. The size is perfect for potato plants. But be careful you need to add more water compare to regular plastic planter.
