Great quality claws. I had one of the more plastic sets of these for the last couple of years. I lost or misplaced them so decided to buy some more. Now the plastic ones were nice and they worked, the tips of the claws had all softened up and curled a bit from shredding muliple pulled pork roasts with them. They were robust, but just at the tips the heat dulled and twisted them a bit.
So when I replaced them I knew I wanted to go with a stainless set so the tips would stay sharp. This set seems to be of good quality. I broke them in with the Christmas Prime rib using them to rotate the roast around on my grill and get a good sear and some charcoal flavor on the outside of the roast.
These can be used to shred meat such as pulled pork or shredded chicken. They also work great to carry a large roast or large cooked bird. Lastly you can use them to hold your meat while you slice it. They give you much better control then the old large meat forks do. They worked flawlessly, felt good in my hand, and were usable with high temp grill gloves. Great Purchase. The company also has a sense of humor advising men not to pretend to be wolverine with the claws in the user manual..
This is my second purchase from Cave tools. These things are awesome. The instructions say you may feel like Wolverine when you pull them out of the package but be careful because they are very sharp. Yes they're very sharp but I didn't feel like Wolverine, no I felt like a bear. Not the cuddly bearded flannel clad San Francisco kind of bear, and not Pooh Bear either. I felt more like a grizzly bear, a big angry,salmon eating Alaskan bear. These meat claws ripped through my pork roast to make shredded pulled pork like a grizzly bear through a Alaskan hunters tent. These things are awesome and I can see them lasting for many years to come.
Great to lift roast and shred chicken for chx salad and casserole. I was forever almost lifting roast from crock pot and it splash back into it! And on me sometimes! Much better than trying to balance large fork and draining utensil! I don’t have to wait for meat to cool- so makes shredding the meat quicker! Pleased! Very sharp! I kept the box and foam it came in to store claws and follow directions to place the claws DOWNWARD!! I wash carefully by hand so I won’t accidentally get stuck unloading dishwasher- or anyone else! Recommend but be careful if kids use! Need to show and teach them same safety I use! Useful item!! My grandkids love all my gadgets like this.
These are the best!! I bought these because they were the only version with solid handles. All of the other similar brands have handles with cavities on one side, this is due to the cheap method of molding the handles. This version is not like that. They are without a doubt the best choice.
A phenomenally well made product. BUT what REALLY impressed me, was the company sent me an email before the package arrived with care and use instructions. Along with a caution not to pretend to be "Wolverine" because in the hands of children they can be dangerous.
These are the brawniest meat claws I've ever seen! Check the construction; no rivets to come loose, big sturdy handles, and big sturdy teeth. All one piece with nothing to break. You could plow with these things! Seriously though, they are the best I've seen, and I have no concern whatsoever that I will need ever to replace them. I may have to sharpen them some day (I may not live that long), but I'll never have to replace them. They're a great buy, and the price is right! Oh; they work really well too!

The inside of the metal below the handles rubbed my finger, but I have big hands. I adjusted my grip, still a little tight. However, they worked like a charm on the roasts I made and shredded. I picked the roasts out without dropping and spilling, and shredded easily. Would recommend this product.
I or should I say we BBQ a lot. (My wife is reading over my shoulder lol) From baby back ribs brisket and pulled pork. We always shredded the meat with forks. I came across these and thought we’d give them a try. Thank goodness, they make it so easy. Plus they’re easy to clean. I looked at a few different ones. The plastic type had grooves in the claws that I thought meat might get caught in, so I opted for the metal ones. It was a great chose. Love be them. Easy to use and easy to clean. I recommend them.
These "claws" are very well made. We used them to take a 10lb Prime Rib off the Grill/Smoker on Christmas and they worked very well. I also used them to hold the nice BIG piece of meat as I carved it and it worked better than my carving fork.
These come in a very nice sturdy "storage box" and I would reccomend storing them in there so they don't get bent or poke you.
These were on a lightening deal which I missed out on but they are well worth the price which I feel is very reasonable for this quality of product.
Love how sturdy these claws are so you know they hold together when ripping meat apart. And they fit my husband's hands...very important since he is our cook. They arrived quickly (prime on Sunday). Haven't tried any recipe's but I can see how useful they will be for lifting meat and holding it steady while slicing. We saw some being used at a BBQ in TX and the chef recommended them.
Excellent product. I was wanting to stop using my BBQ fork to remove meat from my smoker. It was impossible to safely move a heavy piece of meat and required the use of both hands, with risk of getting burned on contact with hot meat. These are very sturdy construction and will allow you to pick up your meat with only light pressure, avoiding damaging the meat. I definitely recommend these!
