Shortly after writing my review, Anker reached-out to me. They promised to replace by screen troubled screen protectors with the updated version, when it arrived in stock. They keep their promise. I didn't pay a penny extra.

The new updated screen protectors do no lift at the edges. They're a good product. The accompanying installation kit makes for a perfectly aligned fit. I won't buy a screen protector without an install kit, because I couldn't install one straight to save my life.

The glass feels better than any plastic protector. It's more resilient to scratch and oils from your hand. There's no light bending or discoloration. You can feel a slight ridge at the edge, because it's glass. That said, even if you use a thin case, that edge is sort of lost, because of the raised edges of the case. Also, the protector has a bevel, so it's not offensive looking. I like it.

Anker's service is awesome. They're the Apple of accessory makers. I bumped my review from 2 stars to 5 starts; the product meets all its committments.

I love Anker products. The company makes quality stuff. Their service is always excellent. This review is not an indictment of the company, but this specific product.

I purchased two packs of these screen protectors, each containing two screen protectors. I followed the install instructions, using the kits on two phones. I had two perfect installations on two phones. The glass protectors are lifting at the edges of both phones.

Unfortunately, I can recommend this iteration of the screen protector. I’m sure Anker will fix the problem. I don’t recommend this specific version.

When I got my XS Max, I was not going to take a chance on not having a screen protector. I have been using Anker protectors for all my devices and they have been great in quality and in customer service over the years. When I got these, the installation process was different from the old days. There's a frame that needs to go on the phone and then that helps align the protector perfectly to the screen. It is pretty easy when it comes down to it. After installation, the glass is clear and smooth. It feels like there isn't a protector there at all.

This is a perfect screen protector. I noticed the first version that Anker sent out was having the same problem my Zagg protector had... peeling up on the sides even though it was installed perfectly. The Zagg protector also reflected light like crazy - the anker one is much closer to original glass reflection. This fits my Xs MAX perfectly - the alignment tool works amazingly well. I should have just waited to get this. Highly recommended.

Dropped my phone a month after installing this Anker Screen Protector, then immediately saw the "hit point" where the screen fell onto a stone and I had two cracks starting at that point; fortunately the protector saved the iPhone and fortunately again, two protectors came in the box. I have not seen issues other have reported. What more can I ask for? Protector saved my phone and came with a replacement!

Update:
After my first review Anker contacted me and offered to refund my purchase and also send me an updated version (free of charge) that will hopefully correct the defect. I’ve added a star to my rating for their exceptional customer service. Note: I’ve purchased a hand full of products from Anker (my first purchase years ago had an issue and was dealt with just as quickly and efficiently) and I am really surprised that they are still so responsive to their customers.

First review:
Just as the previous reviews have stated, I’ve also noticed the edges not adhering properly to the screen. Dust and lint is getting stuck underneath those spots. The areas that are most affected seem to be around the outside of the notch at the top of the phone.

Aside from that, the material of the screen protector is thick and seems to be pretty durable.

It’s disappointing but I’m going to try the second screen protector that came in the pack and see if the same thing happens.

Anker is my favorite when it comes to accessories. When I got my new IPhone I was bummed I needed to get new screen covers because I had just a found anker. They hadn’t come out with one for the new IPhone at the time. A bit later when they did I noticed it was slightly thicker than the one I had on my previous one so decided to try some other brands. Big mistake. I literally went through 9 screens in less than 6mo. One company even sent me replacements for free shipping which was nice of their customer service. Screen quality is still bad though. I finally got Anker and I’m still on the first one out of the 2 pack. Sigh sticking with Anker from now on.

It comes with two and it comes with a frame to line up the screen protector while you are incorporating it on your new iPhone X Max. The frame part is completely new to me and I love it. Aligning and adjusting the screen protector to the perfect position has always been the biggest problem (second to getting all the dust from under (but they give you everything to make it perfect so it's all up to skill)) so adding the frame is extremely accommodating of Anker. It's glass, the protectiveness and quality of Anker products in the smartphone category are well over average in the past to the present in my experience.
If my two glass screen protectors break, which may take a while, I would buy from here again.

Update 11/12/18: Anker customer service is incredible. They updated the product and sent a replacement package and the new screen protectors work great. They followed up several times by email to ensure the new ones worked. This is the reason I continue to buy anker products.

Original review: The screen protector does not stick to the edges of the screen. I followed the directions exactly, double and triple checked that my screen was totally clean, and then applied the protector. After application the edges at the top of the screen and the right side of the screen to do not stick and appear bubbled at the edges. No amount of pressure will get it to stay down. Based on other reviews it appears there is a manufacturing defect in this model. I'd wait for a future release before ordering another screen protector.

ORIGINAL: 3 Star, I fell like the glass is just a hair too large. I left a book and stack of heavy objects on it overnight, but the left and right sides don't adhere to the phone as the screen curves away. That will probably collect dust over time and lead to the glass peeling more off.
UPDATED: 5 Star. Anker Is really committed to making things right. They refunded me the purchase price and are sending me a replacement as soon as the revised version is available. I can't recommend Anker enough. They really stand behind their work and want you to be satisfied. They really went above and beyond and reached out to me to make sure I was happy with my shopping experience. Can't wait to see the fixed version.

Whenever I upgrade my phone, the first thing I do is order an Anker screen protector for it. In all the years I have been using Anker products, I have never had a broken screen and never had an issue that Anker hasn't taken care of immediately. This screen protector fits perfectly on my phone, is crystal clear, and was super simple to apply (less than 3 minutes) with NO BUBBLES or lifting edges.
