I just got this bag today and the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is that the stitching on the shoulder strap is already frayed straight out of the box. I feel like for $180 it should be immaculate. Other than that, this bag is amazing! It fits my Medela PISA on one side of the bottom pockets and the cooler with bottles in the other. There is plenty of room to spare in the main compartment to fit all the other necessities. It is so much better than the tiny medela tote I bought to go with the pump (see photos for comparison).
UPDATE: I was contacted personally by Sarah Wells regarding the strap. She is sending a replacement and said to donate the old one to a mom that couldn't otherwise afford it! What fantastic customer service!
Best. Purchase. Ever.
I am not a "brand person", nor have I ever spent more than 40 bucks on a purse. But after becoming a mom, I've discovered some things are just worth splurging on. This bag is one of those things.
I've been back at work pumping for 3.5 months now and use this bag 7 days a week. It provides a snug fit for my Spectra so it doesn't slide around, while the other side holds my pump parts. And no one has a clue I'm carrying around a pump!
Pumping 3x per day sucks, but it would suck even more without this bag. I can just unzip one side, plug up without pulling the pump out, and continue working at my desk.
And the inside has plenty of space for other everyday essentials. I carry my wallet, makeup, bag of electronic cords, sunglasses, phone, and other small items.
If you're a mom, just buy this bag already. It's one less thing you'll have to worry about.
*UPDATE* the rubber stripe continues to wear off. (see additional pictures) I’m afraid soon it’ll look ratty. I’m not sure if amazon will take a return but I’m gonna try and get the solid navy instead.
*ORIGINAL REVIEW*
I was sooo excited to get my Abby right before going back to work. I got 2 pumparoos and my spectra/freemie combo all ready to go. I had no idea what to expect but I felt confident and prepared! (The advice Sarah includes in her marketing and product inserts is so helpful!)
The Abby is a great size (on the larger side) for me because I often bring an extra pair of shoes since I take the train in Chicago. It fits my laptop and whatever I typically carried in my purse (which I’ve now eliminated). I ended up switching to a spectra S9 because of the weight of the S1, but it fits with just fine.
What I don’t like about the Abby is that the white stripes are not woven into the fabric and so they have begun to peel/wear off in places. (See pics) this started in the first week of use, isn’t limited to this one spot and I am worried this $180 Bag is gonna start looking ugly really fast (I’ve only had mine a few weeks)
The other thing is that the top of the bag (zipper area) “rolls” with the weight of the contents. But that is less of an issue.
So all in all, it’s a great bag. But don’t buy the stripe version.
I *never* splurge on girly things like this. I really wrestled with this one--$180 for a bag? I've never paid more than $20 for a purse. But I did. And I love it. It's durable, pretty, and fits my Spectra S2 in the bigger side. My cooler is a little too big for the smaller side (designed to hold 4 bottles and ice pack), but one of the smaller ones (like the medela 2 bottle+ice pack one) should fit perfectly. I use it to hold the flanges instead.
Storage:There are 2 elastic pouches, where I keep spare bottles and milk bags; the zipper pocket, where I keep important things like my keys; and the outside pocket, where I keep my cell phone. When both insulated compartments are full, it also creates side-regions that are great for a folder of papers, a book, or a tablet to tuck down those sides. A true laptop would probably be too big against a Spectra, but maybe with a smaller laptop or smaller pump? Then if you have that all packed up, you have the top-middle area for cooler or flanges (whichever didn't fit in the insulated compartment), snacks, giant jug of water, etc.
TLDR - It's worth it. It's the perfect bag, and I'll actually use it every day because it goes with my style.
I really grappled with the decision to buy this bag. It's expensive! Will a simpler, cheaper bag do the trick? Absolutely! But I decided to treat myself.
The bottom line: this bag is well thought out.
I'll start with the practical parts. There are two side pockets. The smaller side pocket fits my pump in style perfectly. The larger pocket fits my kiinde cooler perfectly! The zippers are sturdy. The flaps open flat. Very easy to use. And the pockets are insulated and help keep the milk cold all day. These large pockets do take up a lot of real estate inside the bag, but there are two elastic gathered pockets and one zipped pocket, great for the items I want sorted somewhere specific. Then there's still plenty of room for components and other loose items in the body. The front pocket is perfect for my phone.
Now for the aesthetics. This is a beautiful bag. The stripes all line up. The leather is sturdy. The front pocket is nearly invisible, it lines up that well! The zipper pulls are shiny and strong. The material is thick and wipes cleanly.
One downside is that it's huge! Not discrete, if that's what you're going for. Though you couldn't fit it all in without that size. The sides do start to sag a bit over the side pockets after a while, so you have to pull and wiggle to fully close the zippers. Not a huge deal.

With room for breast pump, pumping accessories, keys, laptop, phone, and more, this bag is all you need for easy pumping on-the-go!
I searched for a long time to try to find the perfect pumping bag and honestly some of these reviews made me nervous. But I am very happy I took the risk and bought this bag.
The bag fits everything I need: my pump (spectra 2) my medela cooler, my pump parts, my work lap top and notebook, my pumping bra, a burp cloth for messes and chapstick and lotion. It is perfect for taking all my stuff to and from work and also from when I need to move from my cube to my pump room. I dont know what I would So without this bag.
It does get heavy at the end of the day with all my milk and my supplies but it’s not that bad.
I get Many compliments on the bag and am really happy I purchased it.
I wanted to wait to review this until I used it for a while. I want to start by saying some negative reviews on here almost convinced me to buy a cheaper version, but in a weak moment when I was packing for a trip with an 8-week old I realized I didn't have a good bag to pack my pump in and so I hit "purchase." I have zero regrets! I take this to work every day and I've been back to work for almost six months, and the bag looks great! I travel with it on trips and I've used it on the weekends coaching for a whole day. I use a Spectra and I have a 15" Macbook Pro. There is no sign of wear AT ALL! And trust me, I am hard on bags. I like my purses to be real leather and I use the same one for a few years until it's beaten up and I NEED a new one (favorites have been fossil, kate spade, etc..). Here are my highlights:
1. It doesn't scream "THIS IS MY PUMPING BAG" -- I love that it looks like a regular bag. The gold details are just enough to make it not boring. It looks professional and can easily be used as a diaper bag when I don't want it to be a briefcase.
2. The top zipper - shove everything in and zip it closed.
3. The size - big enough for my pump in one compartment, my parts in the other, my laptop in the sleeve, and then I can shove extra milk bags, my nursing cover, hands free bar, and a bunch of other stuff (even my lunch if I don't want to zip it) and I'm not carrying 3 bags.
4. The pockets - easy to organize and I can find everything fast. I even use the pocket that's meant for a rolling suitcase handle for folders ! I love the little front pocket for my phone and the elastic pockets on the inside for stuff! The spot for my pump is just big enough that I can twist my pump to the side to charge it. I almost NEVER take it out of this bag.
5. The straps - tote style or messenger style. I love the option of both. I think I use it both ways daily.
6. The quality - the handles are sturdy, the fabric is thick, and the zippers are quality. None of the brown parts on my bag are cracking like I saw in some reviews.
I seriously think I would continue to use this bag after I'm done pumping as a weekender bag or a travel briefcase (when I need more stuff than just for an 8 hour day). I'm so happy I splurged on this.
I absolutely LOVE this bag!!! The side pockets fit my Spectra S2 perfect, enough space for my Cold Gold cooler (another Sarah Wells product), pumparoo wet bag (another one, lol), stuff I need for the day and sometimes even my lunch! Before purchasing the Abby I carried a huge bag that only fit my pump and cooler. It was so frustrating (and time consuming) having to pull everything out in order to pump. With the Abby it’s super convenient to unzip the side pocket and hook on up! My other bag actually wouldn’t even fit everything the Abby does. Since ending my pumping journey, the bag has now become a great work bag, diaper bag and toy tote for long family events! It’s a great combination of old me and new mom :)
I will add their customer service is awesome also! Like some of the other reviews my stripes began to peel also. I contacted customer service when I promptly received instructions of what they would need for a warranty claim. For the whole process to be completed it took maybe 2 days before a new order was sent out for me. I requested a solid navy instead just to ensure there wouldn’t be any issues and they were happy to take care of that for me. Since switching to the Navy I’ve had no issues in the past 8 months!
I work for a software company and travel for my job. I don't check bags, and I didn't want to have to carry around a separate bag with my pumping stuff. I needed a bag that was big enough to fit a Medela PISA, parts, a notebook + pens, random meds, makeup, AND my work laptop (a lenovo t440, so not some tiny macbook or something). And I needed it to fit under the seats on tiny RJs. This bag does it. Once I have everything in it, it isn't light but everything fits and has a place so I'm not concerned about anything breaking. On a layover or when I'm on-site with a client, I don't have to unpack everything to pump. I can leave the pump in its compartment, plug in the adapter or battery pack, and it saves the extra time of shoving everything back in the bag at the end. As a traveling working mom, this bag is worth every penny.
Side note: I didn't keep a cooler in the 2nd side zipper pocket since i was traveling internationally for a full week (just pumping to maintain supply). Instead I used the other side zipper compartment for all my parts.
Update (12/1/2018): I stopped pumping four months ago but still use it as my work bag. It’s still AMAZING.
My most favorite bag EVER. I was lugging around three different heavy bags because I was pumping. I love that it's discreet enough and stylish. It's also amazing at holding a ton of things. My husband and I went away for one night without the baby and I fit my pump, pump parts, two outfits, and makeup. I'll continue using it as my work bag when I'm done pumping because it's that awesome.
