My first necklace arrived with a birthstone missing. I contacted Amazon and they paid for quick shipping for a replacement. It is perfect.
The screw together facing is secure and smooth. I selected this necklace knowing I would not be satisfied with the chain and prepared to substitute one of my own chains. The chain is too short for the size of the pendant and is kinda funky-cheap looking.
I've read reviews complaining of the tree falling forward. For mine, this has not been much of an issue... I have 5 grandchildren and the abundance of birthstones seem to hold the tree upright. However, having read reviews prior to my order, I already planned a solution. If the tree's movement is an issue for you, buy the tiny crafting glue dots (they are clear) to secure the tree in place.
These were bought as Mothers' gifts for a bride's mom and mom in law. They were a hit! It was easy to unscrew the locket open and add birthstone charms for grandchildren. The included chain looks horrible, but the pendant bail is big enough that it can be worn with another chain.
This was a gift for our daughter which we just gave to her yesterday. She was very happy with it. Her only issue was she wasn't sure what month each stone represented but she made it work. Some of the colors are very close. Not sure if you can include a card that specifies which stone is which month but otherwise very happy for
the price.
This necklace is really cute. It’s quite large which was what I wanted. It has 12 stones included; one for each month. The drawback there is if you have two family members in the same month. The other drawback is the tree is free to move around so it’s not often right side up. The glass came covered in plastic to prevent scratching. It was tough to open the first time but after that it was fine. Overall a great necklace for the price to display a family tree!
I got this as a mother's day gift for my mom and put 1 stone in for each of her grandkids --i put in an "extra" stone in, surprise!! She absolutely loved it.
I checked it over before I sent it and it seemed pretty secure once put back together --the 2 halves screw together.. It also travelled across the country twice via USPS without a scratch.
Would have been nice if there was a slip included with the stone colors and months but not a huge deal. I just typed one up and printed it myself. 😊

What a beautiful necklace! Even at my advanced age, I was able to assemble it with its sparkling stones and appreciate that it's a secure fit. I'm a fan of polished stainless steel after having tarnishing silver jewelry. Make no mistake, I like silver but the polishing not so much. Another "hit"from Amazon.
I like the length of the chain very much and the fact that it screws together. The stones are very nice but I don't care for the floating tree. If the tree stayed upright like a tree should be, it would be a beautiful necklace. It seems that every time I look down at it, the tree is laying on it's side. The stones do not stay in any particular order either but over all I'm happy with it. I chose to include a stone for my mother and myself along with my 3 children.
It is beautiful and gathers compliments frequently! My only critiques are that it is rather on the heavy side (being stainless steel, I should have expected this, but the size definitely adds heft that took some getting used to!). Secondly, I would have loved it if the chain was an adjustable length, as it hung far lower than I preferred. It was a lovely ball chain style, and variable length could be achieved with the correct size connectors, but alas, I ditched the included chain for something shorter. Thanks for a lovely product, after my adjustments, this is a happy mom!
The item arrived very quickly, and the pendant is really pretty.
I knocked one star because the tree of life isn't secure in the pendant. It's a little disk that kind a just floats around in there, which is not what I was expecting, and the chain it came with is pretty ugly and doesn't fit the delicate look of the pendant. Though that's easily replaced.
The stones are pretty, and the cage easily fit all 7 that I wanted in mine.
I actually purchased two, and I gave the other to my mother in law. She loved it. So all in all, it was a success.
This is a great alternative to the super expensive lockets sold by other brand names. It also looks really nice and the eye at the top of the locket, to thread the chain through, is big enough for a variety of different chains, if you do not want to use the one is comes with. Before I ordered it, I wondered if it is deep enough to hold Origami Owl charms. It is!
