As a beginner, I wanted to get myself a wide selection of colors without breaking the bank. Honestly, the quality of the floss is much better than I expected. I spent twice this much on a pack from my local craft store which had fewer skeins that tangled constantly, whereas I've only had this get tangled a couple of times so far.
Pros:
-lots of colors
-the needle threader is super helpful for people like me who have shaky hands
-included bobbins make organization easier
Cons:
-there are so many greens and blues but only one red?
-one of the needle threaders came broken
-the needles are so blunt I haven't even bothered trying to use them, I can't imagine they would work well
Overall, good value for the price, especially for a beginner who just wants a lot of colors to get started.
Not as glossy as my DMC embroidery floss, but overall pleased with the color variety in the set & durability. Very little purple in my set--wish there was more of that as I like the color & am doing a lot with flowers--but other colors seem to be well represented.
This set is a great value for the price. I bought a set for my mom, who loves to embroider, and bought a second one for myself after hers arrived and I saw just how much floss there is. Absolutely the most cost-effective way to get a lot of different colors. I use floss in crafting and sewing felt projects, not so much straight embroidery, so this was perfect for me.
These colors are amazing!! Hardly any purple and would have loved if their numbers were on each skein but still love the variety of colors!! Amazing!!

They came in 4 packages and mostly sorted by color family. My only issue was these ARE NOT NUMBERED at all. (See Pic)
The paper tubes that hold them are completely blank. Makes it difficult to match up with DMC colors, but the colors are rather good and the floss is of decent quality. LOADS of colors and the needle threaders/needles are of good quality as well.
Love the Variety colors. Great for my mom.
