Being a senior citizen, I've had a number of waffle makers over the years. This is by far, the best one ever. I used the accompanying measuring cup to pour batter and worked like a charm. Really is non-stick as well. Love the deep well to catch overflow. No dripping down the sides. Shade selector is a great feature. Clean-up was so easy. Just wipe with damp paper towel. No fuss, no mess. I would definitely recommend this Chefman model to anyone in the market for waffle maker.
Although the description on Amazon clearly says this is a Belgian waffle maker nowhere on the box when I received either one of the two I bought does it say it is a Belgian waffle maker. It only says Waffle maker. Waffles are much thinner than a Belgian. That being said it does make a nice waffle. If you are truly looking for a Belgian waffle maker this is not the answer.
I didn't have to use any oil and the waffle came out perfect! It was crisp and in four sections. I made one section a blueberry waffle for myself and banana nut waffles in the other three sections for my husband. They were delicious and the perfect crispness! I highly recommend this waffle maker. I was nervous to throw away my old waffle maker until I tried this new one and now I know I can throw away my old one. No cooking spray used! I'm so pleased with this product!
Our old Belgian waffler finally quit and after searching a lot of models, I decided on this one, because I prefer simplicity. After prepping it as per instructions, I heated it up (the 'on' and 'heated' lights are nice) and started with my tried and true recipe. In a short time, we had delicious waffles. The latch was easy to use and the 'overflow ring' outside of the waffle pattern is a nice touch. I cleaned it as instructed and it's ready for our next breakfast. I've used this just the one time so far, but see no reason that it won't continue working. The waffle pattern isn't as deep as my old Belgian waffler, but it's still in the ballpark.
Gave this to my son (a waffle lover who happens to be a mechanical engineer); chose it over several better-known brands based on good user reviews here. He is very pleased with the machine.

It is not always that a product fulfills the billing that the manufacture puts forth; this waffle maker does! I followed the all the directions provided and they came out just great. It is nice to have both text and visual instructions. Thank You!
Put this bad boy to use right away & was amazed at the results. The highest setting makes the PERFECT waffle with crisp edges. Absolutely non stick and extremely easy to clean. Don’t forget to use the measuring cup they provided to avoid overfill. Recommending this to anyone reading this review. Very satisfied customer :)
We didn't want the thick Belgian waffles so we got this. The waffles are still pretty thick, and perfect for us. I didn't like that touching the back part of the outside of the closed waffle maker gave me a blistered burn. Now that I know to avoid that area, I can say I really like this waffle maker.
I was hesitating what waffle maker to buy for 6 months, so I finally made a decision on this one and after first use I was fall in love in this. So easy to use and to clean, no mess !!!! Waffles come out great. Highly recommend this.
This makes amazing waffles! It’s so easy to use. My 13 yr old son uses it frequently. I bought it as a gift for Christmas. I ended up turning around and bought one for my family.
