Great set! I finally used them today and found it pretty easy to do. I did practice a bit before putting them on cupcakes. Finding the right buttercream was a bit of a challenge. I tried two recipes - one was too stiff and one two soft. I ended up mixing them in the end. I used four flower tips and two leaf tips. They needed to be washed before using. They looked dirty (not used dirty), just like the machining process left some residue. Washed them and they were fine. Used the plastic piping bags that came with them. They were just ok - I had one blow out where the bag ripped while piping. I had used the rolled up plastic wrap method so I was able to just remove the frosting and use a second bag.
The slower I made the flowers the better they looked. Big squeeze to start the flower then a quick jerk up to end the flower. There are two “leaf” tips, one wide and one small. I used the wide and was not happy with how my leafs looked - totally operator error! I changed to the small tip and felt like I had better control.
I was so excited to try this out! I love all the different tip; different from the ones I usually use. I got the hang of it pretty quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to discover how easy it was to use the coupler with the three separate tips inserted. So much fun!
I'm going to enjoy decorating with this set!! I'm normally a slap it on, smooth it out and make little peaks with the rubber spatula kind of baker, but I decided to step up my game. I love that the piping tips are stainless steel, which means they won't rust or corrode. The grand kids will love being able to pick their own tips to decorate with, so the extra disposable will be very handy. The tri-color tip is going to be great for multi colored designs. Off to the kitchen to decorate!!
These tips are amazing! I have been looking for something like this for a long time and these are even better than I expected! these tips are heavy, thick and durable and very easy to use!

used to decorate cupcakes. Wish there as a paper manual with examples. I think there was a website link but not realistic to look at when you are in the middle of baking. The center piece is cool because I think it is designed to hold 3 colors of frosting however it is cumbersome to get the 3 pieces to stay together and smash them in the bag tip to assemble the setup.
Struggled for a long time trying to make beautiful icing flowers for birthday cakes. It took a minute to master but once you do the flowers come out perfectly formed. I used the tips to make flowers for mini doberge cakes. The flowers can be made in advance and frozen with beautiful results. I have purchased several as gifts!
The tips are on the larger size, so you can make really big detailed flowers and shapes. I love this kit because you don't have to mess around with a million shapes to choose from. for someone who wants to cover the basic shapes this is perfect!
